Controllers and Music services

The android controller finds my downloaded podcasts the first time I select that feature... But it doesn't seem to update the list after new ones download and old ones are removed. How do I get it to refresh?

I have 2 x CR200s and find them wonderfully easy to use, and so convenient as they just sit in their cradles. I have of course had a replacement unit due to touchscreen failure, and now the second one has developed a dead spot. Sonos will replace this for £70 which isn't too bad, but with the removal of so many functions in 5.4 (particularly EQ - what were they thinking?) I'm wondering about a different solution. I know you can dedicate an Android phone or small tablet to Sonos and even apparently connect it to Sonosnet rather than wifi. But what I really like is the ability to leave the controller in a charging cradle, and with the interface already open, so it's always ready to use. In other words, not having to leave it connected to a cable, and not having to open an app before you can use it. So here's my question, can anyone recommend a device that will work this way? 1. It needs a cradle/charging dock, not a cable. 2. Preferably small - a phone or tablet no bigger than

Looking to start a thread about DJing @ home (to start) and how to best setup Sonos for live DJ sets

I have an old CR-100 in my home and another in my vacation home. Anyone know how the "one per household" is defined? Am I eligible for one or two rebates?

I have had a living room surround sound that includes my two Sonos 1, Soundbar, and Sub for 11 months now with no problems and since this update, my Sonos 1 speakers and Sub cut in and out every 4-5 minutes!!! I don't want to watch tv in my living room anymore because it is very annoying!! Any ideas how to fix? Anyone else having this issue?

This just started, out of the blue - not correlated with any system/software changes that I'm aware of: Running the controller app v8.1.1 on a Samsung tablet running Android 4.2.2 (Kernel v3.4.5). Fired up the controller app today (first time in a couple of weeks) and saw this message. Found another thread suggesting that an uninstall/reinstall of the controller app would fix - did that, and it did not. Most perplexing - any insights much appreciated!

I have had my Sons Playbar when connected to the TV controlled by my Harmony Elite for the last six months or so without any problems. Recently the Harmony has stopped adjusting the sound on the Playbar and whilst I cannot pinpoint the exact time this problem stared it does seem to have coincided with the last update to the Sonos controller. The question is - how do I get my Harmony Elite to control the sound on the Playbar. The sound can be adjusted by using the Sonos app

I listen to podcast a lot and there's one function built in to the iOS Podcast app that I miss a lot when I use the SONOS, which is the 15 sec skip forward/backward.  This is useful when you missed something or when you want to skip an ad. Possible to add this in?

Sound test and voice offerings

I created an account here so I can vent. This latest version of the app is horrible. There appears to be rhyme or reason about where anything is located. For some bizarre reason I cannot search for music from the music tab. On the search tab there are buttons at the bottom... but the actual search icon is a dim thing at the top. BTW, what is with unreachable buttons at the bottom? When I am holding my device my thumbs point up, not down. On a scale of 1 to 10 the usability of this version is about minus 3.

Hi When I want to add more tracks at once to my playlist in the windows sonos app. I can't, only it's possible add one track at a time. It would be useful add this feature to sonos app. regards

A quarter of the year nearly over and still no Airplay 2? Anyone know when this is gonna be released on Sonos. Appara it was suppose to be released early 2018 they said when the Sonos One was released back in November?

I checked out the Sonos player today at best buy and have a question about inserting tracks. If I have a bunch of songs in the queue and suddenly feel like hearing a certain song can I insert that track to be played next without losing the queue ?

I have a server full of MP3 and WMA Lossless - and Sonos on the way. So I guess I'll be converting the WMA Lossless to FLAC. There are lots of utilities for converting, getting cover art, etc. Does anyone recommend one system that will rip, organize, get cover art and do other cleanup in a way that is completely compatible with Sonos? To date I only use Windows Media Player and it works well enough. J River Media Center, WinAmp... suggestions?

So when I listen to an on demand show on Apple Music via the Sonos I can't fast forward it. This is annoying because I may have listened to half of the show on my iPhone on the way home, and want to hear the rest on the Sonos. I'd have to play from the start. It can be done from within the Apple Music app on the phone, but I can't see how to do it on the Sonos.

Help! My kids have managed to change the language settings on my CR200 to Chinese (or something like it - i don't understand a Word of it but it looks like chinese characters). How do I reset the Controller back to English Language? I'm not able to navigate through the menu since I do not understand any of the menu text...

As many of us are being thrown off of our CR100's, and forced onto an external third party device, please use this thread to say what device you will use or have tried, and advise what settings and configurations make it work. Please keep it on topic, use the "Save the CR100" thread to put the world to rights on the bricking of our functioning devices. To start, I have just purchased a Lenovo Tab 7 Essential, 7" screen so similar overall size to the controller, ordered through Tesco Direct, very fast service available in 3 hours from ordering. Tesco added a discount so got it for £62, although They advertised it as the Tab 4 7" which is actually a different unit with slightly higher res and should retail at £99 rather than £69 anyway its fine at the right price. both run Android 7.0 So set it up with no security as I don't want a pin entry each time I pick it up. Does anyone know when we can expect Sonos to integrate with google Home Assistant?

Hello, I have a sonos play 1 and over the past few weeks I have had issues with my phone sonos controller not connecting, stating it cannot connect to sonos. Despite this my sonos continues to connect to Spotify and work when the play button is pressed. Any idea on how to fix it. Have tried deleting the app and downloading again with no joy.

update to 8.5.1 Did an update on my windows 10, Samsung Galaxy tab S2 and Samsung Galaxy phone S8 today... almost... Phone says its not compatible. Anyone else have a problem? is this specifically a Galaxy S8 issue, or are other phones also incompatible?

I've recently purchased a Playbar, Sub and 2 x Play 1's. I am using an LG 55EF9500 TV and a Logitech Harmony Elite remote. I originally setup the remote using IR to directly control the Playbar, as if it were a standard TV remote. Sound went up and down just fine. The Playbar blinked it's light each time so you had some sense of it receiving the signal (which I liked) but the LG TV gave out an annoying message. Since then, I've added the Sonos Playbar as a device to my Logitech Harmony Elite remote. I guess this means that it's now being controlled by my hub over wifi. No more annoying TV messages when sound goes up and down (which is good), but also no more blinking light on the Playbar, which I miss. Is there a way to bring back the functionality to the Playbar indicating it's receiving volume up/down or do I have to give that up? I've had a read of some of the Logitech Harmony posts and articles, but can't seem to find info on this. Maybe I just need to get used to kn
