I know it's been asked before but I'd like to know if setting a maximum volume will be available soon. Sometimes, I hit the volume bar and the speakers blast. I live in a condo so.... Not really ideal.

On certain Chromebook devices, Android apps are now natively supported in the stable channel of Chrome OS, albeit Google are still labelling this Play Store support as beta: https://9to5google.com/2016/09/27/chromebook-pixel-android-apps-play-store/ I thought I'd give this a whirl to see how this would help me drive my Sonos devices from my Chromebook Pixel: 1. The Google Play Music (GPM) Android app appears to work great and can cast to Sonos. The casting to Sonos from my Chromebook now works just as well as casting from my phone or table. And, unlike the old ARC way of running Android apps on Chrome OS, this is lighting fast and doesn't appear to be eating CPU cycles or battery. The GPM Android app runs full screen on my Chromebook, looks great and appears as usable and functional as the GPM web app - but with the benefit of now being able to cast to Sonos, something which was/is not possible from the web app. Result! Nice work Google. GPM app running on Chrome OS casting to Sono

Hi Is it possible to have an alarm where the volume gradually increases until a defined level? Would be great to have as an alarm to wake you up :8 /Picht
My son moved into my home bringing his own Sonos device. When he logged on with his account, all Sonos devices in my house which were registered on my account suddenly where registered under his account and had to transfer ownership to my account to get access again. How is this possible? He did not have access to my account. How can this be prevented?
My PC-based contoller loses connection with the Sonos network from time to time and I also get messages that my connection with my wireless network printer is getting lost. I'm wondering whether the wireless link with the printer and link with the Sonos network are conflicting somehow?
The Sonos Controller for Mac looks like it was designed in the 1990s, the interface of the iPhone/iPad app is so much better to use and nicer to look at. Why has this not been updated?? When with the Mac Controller be updated? it can't be that big of a job to reskin it . . . ?
I can start playing music on my controller (iOS 12), on both Apple Music and Spotify. However, the controller does not show what music is playing, and I can't stop playback using the controller with the regular controls. I can only stop it with the buttons on the speaker, and by deselecting my room in the controller. I have submitted diagnostic report no 1127951674. I have 2 Sonos One configured as a stereo pair. I initiate playback using the controller app, search function, from Spotify, Apple Music or the phone's library, with the same result. This is what the controller looks like (while the speakers are playing):
Reading a review of v 9.2 both Engadget at Mac World talk about our new ability to set a Max Volume in a roon, yet I see no way to accomplish this. Any suggestions?
I've got this option with the new upgrade.
Hello, Bit of a strange problem. Every once in a while grouping two rooms fails but only when I want to play TV. Setup: Sonos Beam + 2x Sonos Play 1s (surround mode) is room 1 2x Sonos Play 5 (1st Gen) is room 2 Sonos Boost for the separate network (to prevent interference) Since the possibility of delaying TV audio, the lip sync problem is gone and when it works, it works great. However, sometimes the audio disappears from room 2. No matter what I do, it will not come back without resetting the entire (!) setup. If I select music as the input, all is fine and the rooms group without problems. Going back to TV input and the grouping is gone. Diagnostic report: 1531067030 (TV input - no sound on room2) Diagnostic report: 1171627492 (Audio input, grouping working just fine) Would be great to get a quick fix for this, as resetting the system is a royal PITA. Thanks! Henk
A couple of features I think are absolutely necessary for this system. I have 15+ speakers in a couple different rooms and would love the ability to control the volume more accurately through the app. 1-Mute button. Hit it once and the volume is locked so that it will not go up/down based on group volume changes (when speakers are grouped) Hit the mute button again and it mutes the speakers as it does now. Another way to do this is to create a sub group of speakers in a larger group that are playing the same source but have a different volume, sound, etc. 2- Preset volume limits. I have a couple Play One/1's in sensitive, smaller areas. I would like those to have a set limit volume. (Again, this is when in a group) When the group volume is changed, the volume of these specific speakers would not change.

I upgraded the Sonos app on one of my phones to 9.0. Now I find that I have to have a Sonos "user account" registered before I'm allowed to use the app with my Sonos HT system. My controller app no longer gives me the ability to control my system. Looking through the FAQ I find the question "Why is it mandatory to create a Sonos account and register my system?" The answer given is "We believe creating a password-protected, verified, account is a reasonable precaution to take and decided to make it a requirement for all Sonos customers." "Its mandatory because we believe it should be done" is not a reason. Why would I need a password protected account to use something that was perfectly useable without it? What am I being protected from by all this nonsense? Fortunately my Mac app is still working but its a pain to use and not very convenient when all I want to do is turn speech enhancement on or off during a movie. I can't carry my computer around the house with me and use it
When the Sonos:One was released, we were told Google Assistant support was coming "in 2018". Now, Sonos Beam's press materials say Google Assistant will come "in the future". Pair that with the suggestion in the media that Google was coerced into the partnership by some kind of legal consideration (https://voicebot.ai/2018/05/18/sonos-patent-portfolio-used-to-persuade-google-to-allow-a-multi-assistant-device/). Sonos team, is this still slated to happen in 2018? Will it be full Google Assistant support, or will it be minimal support due to Google being a reluctant partner? Hoping for the best. Thanks!
When I go to bed, I set a 1 hour timer, streaming Pandora via Sonos on iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 12. the timer never stops the music, and continues to play throughout the night. Diagnostic sent: 1496839590
Ok I have my Sonos app open and music playing. While working in another program, if I need to turn down, turn up, or mute the volume I have to select the Sonos app, and either move the slidebar or Ctrl+ or Ctrl- to change the volume level. I searched the internet on how to use my PC volume controls to control the Sonos app volume no matter what program I am using. I found this (https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/89596-control-sonos-system-volume-without-interrupting-your-work/), but I do not have a clue how to go in the registry and change all this, and I do not want to mess things up, so I will not even attempt. I also found this (https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/allow-pc-volume-to-control-sonos-volume-5447077), and the two answers given the links no longer work. Can anyone point me to somewhere or tell me how this can be done? Thank you
This took awhile to lock in, hopefully this helps others. 1. Set up the playbar on the tv as a Denon and use remote type 3 2. In the Sonos app, set up the LG remote 3. For the Tivo remote, hold mute & tivo button and type in code 1234
After updating to 9.1, the alarm fade in stopped working. Have it set on a radio station, which now starts in full volume. Anyone having same issue and possible suggestions?
I can not access the Music Library Settings under the Manage tab. I'm running OS X 10.10 and Sonos 9.1 I've just added the controller to my Mac Book Pro ( already have it on an iMac) Any pointers????
Dear sonos-developers, Are there any plans to release an SONOS Apple watch app in the near future? I hope so!
I’m happy that I can now control my Sonos devices through Siri on my iPhone, but I’m given an error message when trying to execute the same command on my iWatch. Is this expected?
Is it just me but I am sad that the dock will be of no use after the next software update. Yes yes I know it's been out there a long time but for me who has 1000's & 1000's of CD worth of music on my trusted iPhone/iPod that is my main source of music will no longer be supported, sure I can use the inline to play but it mean I have to keep touching the iPhone/iPod to select music as the CR200 will just be a volume control at this point, (oh don't get me started that the CR200 will be next to get bricked). I have been a sonos user from the very beginning and owing so many of there products and seeing so many of my favorite hardware go bye bye it's sad sure time has change for better but for us who is completely satisfied we should have to go out and buy new products if we really don't need to jus to keep up with the Jones's. I guess I can just not update as most of all the new update does not apply to any of my hardware and maybe it will keep working. If I am forced upgrade and what I h
