I have one Connect which I’d like to remove to upgrade to S2. I updated the app to Sonos S1 and downloaded the new app. If I launch the new app, it finds the system and it asks to launch Sonos S1, which I did. They system upgraded to version 11.2, but under Settings > System there is no button to remove the non S2-compatible product. What to do? Just wait?

I was listening to Sunset Fuzz today and they played a gorgeous song that I’d like to track down.  Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find a track list for the songs they already played, and googling the only phrase I remember (something like “I won’t stop til I buy your land”) didn’t get me any hits. Is there any way to find a track listing for Sonos Radio channels?  I know the one I’m looking for played at ~2:30pm Pacific Time Jan 1st. Thanks in advance

HiI’ve been using Sonos on my Mac for several years, with my music stored on an external drive. All was well until I updated to Catalina last year -- Sonos could not access the drive. I think this issue was well documented on this site. I tried adding every privilege recommended by Sonos stuff, never worked. So I moved my music library to the main drive on my iMac (late 2015).Now that Big Sur is here, I wanted to check if anyone has had better luck? The external drive is a WD MyBook 2TB formatted with MacOS Extended Journaling. I checked my main drive, and I see two things: it’s formatted to AFPS, and the Music folder on it has an additional right that the WD doesn’t have:The external drive is missing the first bit. I’m not sure if this is new in Big Sur or not.So, I haven’t tried anything yet, but would appreciate any in

TLDR: Sonos Bridge shows up on S2 app, tells me to download S1. Then doesn’t show on S1 app. Tried multiple phones, looks fine on network.  Longer Version:So I have updated everything to S2 for a year or so now, all good. However, recently I decided I wanted to split the system in two - majority on S2, and a single Bridge + Play:1 on S1 (as it’s used for kids room, don’t want to group it by accident - yes, know the limitations this brings). I’ve hard reset both the Bridge and the Play:1, initially I tried just to connect the Play:1 in the S1 app and, while it finds it fine, it errors saying to use the S2 app instead and AFAIK no way around this. So I tried the Bridge, reset, I can see on my network. But I can’t see it on the S1 app at all it just says “Product not found. Move closer to your product and make sure it’s connected to power”. I’ve tried multiple resets, no joy. However, I then opened up the S2 app and it see’s the Bridge, tells me it’s only co

The wonderfully eclectic, commercial-free deep rock FM radio station KCDX from Arizona streams on TuneIn but Sonos fails to play it, displaying the error message, “the song is not encoded properly.”The KCDX.com website streams in what I’ve seen described as, “that in-line chunked blob object-style format.” Here's the direct URL: http://vdn.terrafox.com/audio/kcdx/playlist.m3u8Is there any way to get this working on Sonos? I have an iPhone 12. I have a Sonos Move and 2 One SL’s. Heres my problem. I can only control the volume when the App is in the foreground (ie on my screen). When the app is in the foreground I can control it via the hardware on iPhone (ie the volume buttons on the side) or via the slider. On the App I have “Hardware Volume Control” & “Lock Screen Controls “ both turned on (ie to the right). To state the obvious, its all connected via wifi. I have seen some solutions that perhaps what's stopping it is the phone is connected to some other device via bluetooth. Thats not it as if I turn bluetooth off that doesnt fix the problem.If the ONLY wat to control the volume is to have the App open, and in the foreground, thats nuts.Help Moderator note: We updated this article in October 2023 with new information below.

Just in case any Sonos designers check these forums (?), I have one feature request to improve discovery functionality of the S2 app. On the iOS version of S2, it’s possible to find the command “Search for [artist]” when tapping on the “...” button next to the name of the artist that’s currently playing over Sonos Radio. However, on the iPadOS version of S2, this command is missing (see screenshots). (As is the subsequent option to “Add artist to My Sonos”). I can’t imagine that there’s a structural reason for this discrepancy in app design; and it interrupts the otherwise seamless experience of the Sonos system—especially for those of us who see Sonos Radio to discover new music. (As an aside: better integration with Apple Music would also be appreciated. E.g. being able to add albums directly to the Apple Music Library). iPhone app,

Is there a way to remove line in option from the available sources? I have many amps with nothing plugged into the line in port, it’s confusing for other users (parents).

I am running the S1 and have most a fair amount of gen 2 components but am still running a gen1 amp, so I am using s1. I tried to add a new play bar but am being blocked until I upgrade my system. In reading other threads I upgraded to iOS 14.3 and have restarted my router and each Sonos component. I still cannot perform a system upgrade.

Hey Sonos… listen up.  You phone app has turned into “Pop-up central” for your HD radio service.  I only need to see it once, not every time I get into the app.   if I am missing a setting to turn this unwanted advertisements off… I apologize and please let me know what this setting is.  If not, please stop the madness. thanks

With the latest update, there appears to be no way to remove Sonos Radio from Services & Voice.  The only option is to Reauthorize the service.  I don’t care about this service.  I don’t want this service, and I don’t want to be forced to see it in my list.  Seriously, this may be a deal breaker for me to continue using Sonos.

there is not enough space for song titles in portrait, which is not always needed but it’d be nice to come up to date or at least 2017 with an update to the app that allows the app to rotate 

Just checking - currently using S1 software. Is there any way of getting rid of the Sonos Radio icon? I’ll never use it and pressing it just goes to a sign-up screen.

I have two rooms:Living Room: sonos one gen 1 Kitchen:  sonos one gen 2We always play music using Airplay on our iPhones.I’d like to have three ways to connect to bluetooth to connect via AirPlay:Living Room Kitchen All Rooms: both Living Room and KitchenAs it is right now options one and two exist, I just need assistance in setting up the All Rooms option. I tried to create a group however it says you can only do that for three or more rooms.Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to remove Sonos Radio from the menus in the mobile and/or desktop apps?   It’s rather in the way, and since we already have Spotify, Amazon, Tunein, I really don’t need to add another service. Since it’s confusing for people to see it, and then be presented with a login box (why!?), I’d rather just hide the icon. Is there a way? If not, why not?

Similar to other discussions, had been using Sonos 1 with no issues.Sonos 2 app on Windows different story, service fails to start/process crashes etc.None of the “uninstall and re-install” stuff works.By looking at the event logs, decided to look at the cases of the exception being thrown with other products. Was Thinking a paid subscription may assist? Selected sonos station 365 smooth jazz lounge to play  sonos auto play selection for this station began playing the following song Eazy - E - Merry X-Mas under information shows now playing this song? why is a rap song with curse words playing on a smooth lounge jazz station? not to mention the commercial adds that play more often then music plays   *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the community guidelines.*

Confised amd disappointed    Im 99% sure sonos under s1 woukd play 24/48 flac so what exciting things have arrived other rhan some room configuration? 

i just submitted diagnostics 1953926018. VERY frustrated Sonos customer here. After 2 years of perfect connectivity and NO changes to my ISP, router or speakers, now sonos drops every few minutes and intermittently loses speakers, all Play 1. This only started after the S2 controller app update. NOTHING ELSE CHANGED. I was on CS chat for over 50 min this am, case #02469027 and we tried everything, no luck. They won't eacalate until i do this all over again but via phone. What a waste of time when NOTHING changed on my end. I now have 100s of dollars in speakers that won't play.  What is Sonos doing to correct??

Hi all, I just spend several hours reading the several discussions about the bugs create by the android 10 Release.I’m using several samsung phones which are not able anymore to found my Sonos system.System a boost and 4 old play one. I’m not able to connect it anymore via the boost to my phone.(yes IO restarted all the system , the router , the app, the phone , and no it did not fix the issue….)Funny point on my ‘old’ Samsung phone under Android 8 it is still working.So it seems that on top of Sonos issue with the I-phone OS, you also have issue with Android 10 . Is there a fix foreseen as the problem with the latest android OD as it seems not linked to the phone manufacturer (several of them are impacted according to the forum .

I have a Five connected to my PC via the line-in. The PC sometimes is used for Skype, Zoom, etc. Mostly I use the Five for streaming. But if the PC beeps or otherwise makes a sound, it terminates the music stream, which I have to restart. It would be MUCH better if either the Five could simply merge the two input streams (act as a mixer), or return to streaming when the PC shuts up. Seems like at least the second approach should be a very easy fix, with a switch to control whether this behavior is enabled. Acting as a mixer might be harder, but should be considered.Does anybody else have this problem?
