I have used ExpressVPN for years with no issues with my Sonos system & ability to connect form my Mac.After changing to NordVPN I cannot connect to Mac desktop controller. It is fine if I turn VPN off. As I never had this issue before, can anyone offer any advice. I live in the UK & use VPN for security, not for bypassing anything. Thanks

I have used four Play:1 in my home for three years using both iOS devices and the Windows app to control them.  No trouble with anything, even the first releases of the S2 app, until a few weeks ago …  The iOS app began to not always see my Play:1’s when initialized … usually closing and restarting the app solved the problem.  This was tested using both up-to-date iPhone iOS’s (14.3), iPad iOS’s AND outdated iOS 12.4 on an old iPad Mini 2. Next, the Spotify app started to not be able to see the Play:1’s (controlling them independently of the Sonos app).  NOTE: in all this time, my other multicast or network music devices (including Bluesound, Apple TV and Google Play) have had no connectivity issues whatsoever. This weekend, I decided to factory reset all four Play:1’s (green blinking light), ‘forget’ them on my network router, and delete/reinstall the Sonos S2 app on all devices, in an attempt to get things working properly again. RESULT:  I can’t get past either the ‘temporary Sonos

The Sonos iOS app supports multiple end user accounts for a single music service. In my case my spouse and I each have an Apple Music account (let’s call them A1 and A2) and the app can easily switch between A1 and A2. My problem (and I suspect this is a bug) is that the selection of A1 or A2 isn’t always sticky (and it should be!)I own two separate Sonos systems, in two different locations, which share a single household ID. When I move between locations, the account selection is *always* reset to A1, even if it was previously A2 in both locations. In other words, it’s sticky in the app until I switch locations.In practise, since the reset is often not noticed, this means that A1’s and A2’s recently played lists and preferences etc get mixed up by Apple Music, defeating much of the user personalization that Apple Music tries to provide.So, Sonos, is this a bug, a limitation, or WAD? (I’m running S2.)Thanks.   

Hi therei have a problem similar like others already asked.  I want to use the beam as a computer speaker. My setup is a monitor with hdmi in, displayport in and aux. I connect my laptop via hdmi cable to the monitor. I heard that i‘ts possible to play music over the beam with an audio converter. Well since we upgraded to the last sonos version we can’t play music from the device. That option is missing now. With my sonos play1 we can’t use airplay2 either so wht can we do now?

Hi,I have a Play:5 (Gen 1), Connect, Sub (Gen 1) and three Play:1s.  These are all set up as a S1 system.I recently purchased an Arc, which had to be set up as a separate S2 system because it is not compatible with S1 and the Play:5 is not compatible with S1.I am now stuck in an update loop with my S1 system which says an update is required.  However when I try to update I am taken to the S2 app in the Google Play store. When I initially tried this the update failed and I got a number of error messages (30 & 1101).  I tried resetting the router, turning products on and off etc as suggested in the help article, but this failed so I performed factory resets on the Sub and all Play:1s. However when I tried to add them back to my S1 system I was unable to do so because “Sonos app needs updating”, although there isn't an S1 update to choose.Please help me get my system back - I can currently only use the Play:5 and the Arc.Thanks

I was a subscriber of Apple Music and Sonos was working fine with it.However I realised I mostly used  the cloud matching feature and hence recently "downgraded" to  iTunes Match which provides that service only. Sadly I can't seem to be able to stream my Cloud music on Sonos any longer.Has anybody got a workaround to suggest?Catalina OSSonos V1

After almost a year long rigmarole, I finally got all my itunes playlists to sync with SONOS… enter Big Sur to spoil the party. Keep Catalina until this new mess is sorted…. if you want to keep the party going.

Hello, I have one of the original sonos systems (the one they initally said they were going to abandon, but still works great!).It is wired into my hifi system (a Naim amp) and I listen through a decent pair of B&W speakers. I use spotify and am happy, but was thinking of upgrading to QoBuz because it streams at a higher bit rate (FLAC). Will my sonos system process this or will I have to upgrade my sonos products to take advantage of the better sound quality of Qobuz? Thank you

We have recently changed from Google Play Music to YouTube music and have noticed a bug in the Sonos integration where it does not allow us to see more than 99 playlists on our Sonos controller whereas the YouTube music account is connected to has 240 playlists.   I believe this to be a bug in the YouTube music integration on the Sonos controller or maybe a limitation, can someone please look into this and confirm.

Out of no where my sons iOS Sonos s1 app stopped working. I Uninstalled the app and reinstalled, still can not find it on the wifi network. All other apps on iOS and Android is still working.I'm choosing connect to existing system, then I keep pressing "I can't find the the button" until I have one that work with one of my Sonos devices. Tried both the first wired device and one Un-wired. But it still don't find the Sonos system!?

Why am I getting advertising (an ad) when I turn on my radio using TuneIn?

If you only have 2 rooms, you can’t put them into a group. If you can’t put them into a group you can’t set an alarm to play from both of them at once.The minimum of 3 rooms makes sense in all other contexts as it adds no benefit when ad-hoc grouping of them is only one tap away from Now Playing, and you can tell a voice assistant to play on all speakers. However in the alarm context it means you can’t do something that should be possible.The limitation on room grouping is obviously an arbitrary setting, simply remove the restriction please so we can play an alarm in our two rooms.

Hi - I am trying to add my FLAC file collection to Sonos which is now stored on OneDrive but I receive the error message ‘is no longer available’. Is it possible to link to OneDrive on my MacBook without all the files being downloaded to my HD or not? If not - can you recommend a workaround? (I have the same files on my LAN in WD MyCloud which doesn't work either, or I could add them to my iMac but Sonos doesn’t seem able to find this machine on the same network!) Appreciate any pointers please…(Used to work fine when I had the files stored on my PC but that one is now on the scrap-heap...)

I want to use my pc audio wirelessly on my sonos system.i.e when I´m playing audio from different sources. youtube, vimeo etc.I have play one and play five. thanks in advance. 

The Sonos EQ setting are very nested with in the application it feels. They require multiple button presses to access which is annoying to say the least. The Bose application has a simple floating bubble located with in the application that has your connected device in it. When pressed you have instant access to EQ and other features for that device. Something similar in the Sonos App would be nice to see. 

So say I use hi res tidal or Qobuz on sonos connect (s2 capable) and use the digital out to an external DAC will I get hi res audio?

I haven't been able to find the option yet in the SONOS App but it is easily found in the Bose App and most other apps that open a native  version of an application . In the Bose app you see a button that just say “Open Spotify” and it will take  you to the actual application even though the Bose app also has a native spotify functionality.

I have my music library on my iMac, but I have to be logged on to my account to play music through my iPad. Why do I need to be logged on to play the music? If the iMac is on then surely I should be able to access the music. Hope someone can help.thanks.

I cannot connect to Sonos airplay service even though its there in the airplay menu. I am using 2 iphone and 1 ipad (all iOS 14.2), 2 macbook pro (both macOS Catalina), all of them are unable to connect.I tried doing factory reset on both sonos one, reset the router (Xiaomi wireless router 4A). My confirmation number is: 1021936513.Both Sonos one version are 12.2.1 (build 61183170)Any advices?Thanks.

It’s probably right in front of my eyes but for some reason I can’t seem to find the podcasts section when I browse the Spotify source in this newest sonos for windows app? I could have sworn there was a podcasts section after I tap into spotify but now all I see is playlists, songs, albums when I go to my library. Has it been removed?

Hi. I had a power cut for thirty minutes. After it came back on my two play fives and one sub had disconnected from each other and are no longer displaying the trueplay icon in the app, even when rejoined. They have been previously set up for trueplay. All other speakers in my setup are showing their icons as usual and behaving as they previously did. I have another sub with my arc and that is fine. Any ideas as I want to reset with trueplay but have no option to do so. Thanks
