I am having with S2 and an iPhone 12 pro with iOS 14.3. The issue I am having is that when I leave S2 open the notification sound for text messages and when I close the phone are extremely low, barely audible. The is no issue with the notification sound for the phone. When I close S2 (remove from memory) the sounds for text messages and when I close the phone are normal.
Hello, it seems that every time my sonos system is running fine and I install the new update for the desktop controller it completely breaks my system. I have 10 sonos products and some now do not show up in my device list, streaming services for music all of the sudden have the wrong encoding and will not play, or will completely stop playing everywhere half way through a song. Every time we update it seems to be one problem after another. Does anyone else experience the same issues, and is there any resolve for audio disconnects and speakers disappearing? Again, my system was running fine before the most recent update. These issues have happened in the past after updates to the desktop controller as well but resolve over time after multiple router resets. Everything else on my home internet works fine, no boost networks that could interfere (that was another problem I discovered in the past and corrected).
I have 2 systems, One for my home and one for my work. I want to move a play 5 from work and put it on my home system. I disconnected the one i had on the home system. Now i can’t get either one to work. Is there a way of restoring both the sonos router and the speaker to factory settings so i can start over? I’ve tried doing the unplug and such but when i get to the step where is asks to press the connect button it keeps saying it won’t work. I’ve tried live chatting but they were no help. I;m really getting frustrated with sonos!
Here we are almost 1 year on chasing customer support and Sonos will still not acknowledge the fact I have faulty products even when I have moved property and WiFi provider the problem persists with the faulty equipment. 1 year of chasing is unacceptable and pleading with them! All they do is not reply for weeks and then pass me over to someone new and we begin the cycle over and over! This has become to much and has in all honesty really effected my mental health during a global pandemic due to the negligence of Sonos Support. I have spoken with trading standards and financial ombudsman about purchasing from Sonos, for anyone interested happy to share more details as you will be within your right to seek legal action if you are facing similar issues. I hope this year someone acknowledges the horrendous support and acknowledgment for consumer well being! I am going to paste some of the responses I have had from different people at Sonos who have outright stated they don’t care and
Hi All, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced really poor service for a premium brand like Sonos. I have chased them for 3-4 weeks for support and I am greeted with someone called Neelam who was abrupt and rude over email. My beam and Sonos one system is malfunctioning and does not stop cackling, I have had the items for 1 year and paid a fair fee for them as we know Sonos is not cheap. I have not had these issues with BOSE in the past good customer service, product that has not malfunctioned less than a year in to ownership! I love the ease of Sonos and sound quality was good at first, but I really am getting no where with the support. It is affecting me mental health significantly and is becoming overwhelming. Has anyone dealt with a manager or director at Sonos I can contact to aim to get a resolution to my technical issues with my product? Has anyone else had issues with the support and or product in the past? Thanks!
Hello, last week Ive found my Sonos 1 without any light, so I started to troubleshoot and the yellow part in the picture is damaged, plastic and wires are cuts. DXTPQ2020-225, didnt find any parts info for replacement, any idea ? Thanks
I’ve tried everything to connect. No success. Had system for years, never an issue.
Sporadic dropout of AMP from my tiny network of 2 sonos devices. No changes in location or any other disturbances. I see in my router that the amp suddenly sometimes switches to the other of my 2.4g/5g network but not sure that matches with the dropouts timing wise.have rebooted, reset, disabled/enabled wifi etc. Not sur what to do anymore, the sonos one works flawlessly all the time. Anyone has any ideas?
I just bought a Sonos 2 Pack at Costco and Not pleased at all. Im ready to return it. I discovered that both power cords do not make good contact with either speakers, and moving them they lose power. I have to position them correctly on a counter for them to get power . Also, it was kind of strange that the power cord does NOT go in deep enough for the cord to go through the ‘Channel’ at the bottom of either speaker. And, it won’t sit flat because the power cord does not go in far enough for the feet of the speaker on all four corners to sit flat. Trying to set up the first speaker, and having issues, I tried the power cord from the second speaker with the same result. Im really disappointed. I shouldn’t have to move it around trying to make contact with the power cord to get it to work.
Je voudrais acheter des supports pour enceintes Sonos ... il me manque un code promo ... qui peut m aider ??? Merciiiiii
tl;dr: I’ve discovered that anytime my Playbar becomes the coordinator of any group (even a group of one), it tells Harmony to shut down. This isn’t entirely new behavior, it’s been discussed here before: But that thread is nearly a year old, the circumstances are different, and the apparent solution doesn’t apply to me, anyway. My Sonos setup includes a Playbar paired with two Play:1s, another standalone Play:1, two Symfonisks, and an AMP.The Playbar (+ surrounds) is connected via optical to a TCL Roku TV and both are being controlled by a Harmony Hub. This setup has been working flawlessly for over 2 years. Even longer when you disregard the surrounds, which I only added to the PlayBar later. Now suddenly, for the past couple of weeks, I’m experiencing the issue linked above, more or less.If I start the TV activity while the Playbar + surrounds are grouped with my kitchen Symf for playing music, as soon as the Playbar detects audio from the TCL, the Harmony switches off the TV activity
Cannot get Amazon to play I punch in my code email and password I get the text message I approve and then it goes back to the Sonos page where it wants me to start all over putting in my password again
Anyone else get the message that sonos not available or can’t connect to Sonos? Will getting the Sonos boost help with this situation?
I have a medium to large setup in my house and have one unit that repeatedly gives me the same issue. It is a sonos amp that I have had for years and it will be playing music and suddenly stops for 10 to 15 seconds before starting where it left off and will not do it again in the session. It’s almost like it is buffering. Once it has done it once it might not do it again for hours. It is wired and it is the only one I have issues with. Internet is strong and I don’t have anything anywhere near it ! Anyone experienced and resolved similar ?
having upgraded to the new sonos s2 app I have a Sonos 1 that simply will not reconnect -factory reset multiple times -add speaker - runs finds speaker -Then final message is the speaker may not appear - if this happens power on and then finish using the system tab -????

“Recently Played” in the iOS app constantly stops working for me (get error message that “Recently Played information isn’t available right now. Please check back later.”). I’m only able to fix this if I delete the Sonos app and reinstall (nothing else I’ve tried seems to work). But I’m having to delete/reinstall the app about once a day. Anyone have similar issues or have a better long-term fix?
I’m researching which NAS to buy and am finding the amount of options quite hard to navigate. What I’d like is: A NAS that works seamlessly with Sonos Cost to – ideally be below £250/$320 Good speed performance (obv.) A NAS that allows for me to use as my actual iTunes music folder for my MacBook and potential to back up things like photos also (I don’t need it for movie files) Nothing that requires ‘hardcore’ technical knowledge (I’m quite technically competent – with a bit of hand-holding – but I’d like the UX to be simple rather than be too involving) For it to include 1/2TB storage min (as in fine for it to be 2x1TB with dual back up) Thanks, David
Hi, my beam keeps 'crashing'. Sometimes during music playback it is like the music is stuck and I need to turn off the plug at the wall. When it powers back on it has vanished from the system and the only way to get it back is a reset. Then it works as normal for a while and either the same thing happens, or randomly it just vanishes from the system again when the TV is off. I have a Sonos move in the same room and that has been working consistently. Actually this all seemed to start after I added the move to the system in December. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum. My problem started after the software update from Sonos. I have checked for updates on my TV and it is up to date. I’ve tried power cycling all the devices, rebooted the router, also even changed my router and the problem still persists. So when I turn on the TV, I get sound as normal for a few seconds and then it just goes silent. If I select a different input on my TV and then go back to my ‘cable’ input, the sound comes back. I only have to do this the first time every time I turn on the TV. It’s pretty annoying having invested so much into my Sonos system and its doing this now when it never did it before. I spoke with Technical Support who was able to capture some diagnostics. The TV model is a Sony XBR65X900F. I do have the 5.1 setup and the sound disappears on all the speakers in ‘living room’ group. Everything is on S2 as well. The router I’m using is a Linksys WRT1900AC. I do have a case # with Sonos supp
using sonos 1 app for my play 5 first genPandora and others work fineSongs "on my device" were working fine from 128gb SD cardRemoved SD card, added 5 more albums from PC, now tablet says "this song no longer on device".Says same for new songs added and original songs I've played for weeks from same SD card.Have Uninstalled, reinstalled app. Picture of albums and list of songs show. After a week of trying to fix an errant Sonos One Gen2, that keeps going offline overnight, I am no further forward.I’ve had some excellent support from the Sonos community on here, with some great suggestions but alas none of the suggestions have worked.I have even swapped the speaker over with an existing speaker - the fault remained and no problems with the good speaker that was proved to the ‘problem’ room. i.e. it is the speaker at fault, not where it is located.Sonos customer services have been woeful, and are refusing to replace the speaker despite it being proved beyond reasonable doubt that there is an issue with this particular speaker. I have spent thousands on Sonos kit and would have expected better. This morning’s classics included the call centre suggesting the problem is that I have an alarm set on a speaker in a different room, and then I have too many speakers - I have 14 versus a max limit of 32.I’m thinking that there is an issue with the Gen2’s - one of the communi
Hi There, Since shortly we own Spotify Family Premium and we added a Beam to our current network. It works amazing however we noticed that Spotify can only be streamed to Sonos via the Main Family Account. All family members cannot acces the Sonos via Spotify.
