I’ve made no changes to my sonos system. All speakers are working perfectly, but when my move is grouped it says it’s playing but has no sound. The volume is on and not muted. If I press the pause button, all the grouped speakers pause. Please help.
Help me please! We just bought a Sonos One. We cannot get Spotify to work for more than a single song. We are fairly frustrated so if I am unable to get this working I will have to send it back.We only have a single Spotify account.Asking Alexa for a song she announces the song and then proceeds to not play anything. Alexa, play stairway to heaven Stairway to Heaven, Remastered by Led Zeppelin, from *(Wife’s)* Spotify*Nothing* I’ve tried everything I can think of. Unlinking accounts, installing and uninstalling apps. What a mess. The only way I can get this working is by using the Sonos app to Reauthorizing Spotify. Then it will play one song. The next song will not play, as above. There’s no problem if I use the Sonos app to play a song. Also we don’t have this issue on any of the Amazon echo devices, only seems to be the Sonos!
Hi there, I’ve got 6 SONOS devices in the house, all work perfectly at the same time or individually. However, over the last week or so I’ve noticed if I choose an album or playlist on the SONOS app via Amazon Music then almost all the speakers skip, hang, stutter or delay in playing the song. So as a 3rd line IT engineer with 21 years experience I started looking at the obvious. Router, dup IP’s, Wi-Fi interference etc and couldn't fix the issue. However I’ve discovered that if I ask Alexa to play the same album or playlist the issue never happens. It also wont happen if I use SONOS radio, TuneIn Radio or BBC Sounds etc For example, I can open the SONOS app and search for Fleetwood Mac Best Of. I find the album and press play. All the speakers start skipping and juddering, some don't play at all for 30 seconds and then start cutting in and out. If I press stop and then say “Alexa….. play Fleetwood Mac Best Of” - Alexa will find the same Album on the only streaming service I have (Amaz
Suddenly the app can’t find my 3 speakers and yet Alexa can - any suggestions? I’ve already deleted and reinstalled the app with no luck
Sonos just updated some of my speakers making them S2 - thus separating my system - so now my system no longer works as one, I didn’t update to S2 for this reason, but the latest S1 update has done it! One would think sonos are trying to “brick” our devices AGAIN!!!
So I have attached all three below, anyone else seeing this since the last update?Android Phone:iPad: Desktop app:
Use my iPhone to stream podcasts via AirPlay to my Sonos Move however, the signal intermittently finds its way to other components on my Sonos network. Other than manually muting everything else, any ideas please?system consists of 2x old S5, 2x old S3, Old Sub, Connect amp, Bridge, & Move.
Hi have tried to get help with this in a previous post “Move Stereo Pair Drops Speaker”. When playing my stereo pair of move speakers using Spotify, it drops one of the speakers. Only solution is to reset the system and play exclusively from within the Sonos app, which has limited functionatlity. Support seems lacking.
I have 8 Sonos products throughout my entire house on 4 separate floors. They work great (for the most part) when I’m home alone. However whenever I have a party and have more than 15 people at my house Sonos freezes up, stops playing, disconnects certain rooms, becomes all whacky in general and it’s an enormous buzzkill. This typically happens when I am streaming Spotify through Sonos, but has also happened with SoundCloud and YouTube Music. Is this because I’m maxing out the bandwidth on my router? If I got a separate router and WiFi network for my Sonos system would this likely fix the issue?
This is a “retag” on a discussion I started a few days ago when I knew less than I know now, so the topic title is more succinct. At least for me, I have determined that the S2 Controller running on a iMac M1 (Big Sur 11.5.2) will consistently not load all speakers if that iMac is connected via Ethernet -- although it will often find them if given a couple of hours. Each time S2 is restarted, the app may see different speakers and drop others when the iMac is on Ethernet.I have a cable modem with a single Ethernet output that drives an Eero Pro mesh router system. The Eero mesh units provides WiFi to the house as well as Ethernet input to a NetGear 18 port Gigabit unmanaged switch. A Sonos Boost is hooked to the switch as is the subject M1 iMac -- and before you jump the gun the Boost is the ONLY Sonos unit connection to the Internet; all Sonos components are in “WM:0” mode. There are other Android and Apple products in the house but they run primarily via WiFi. All have the S2 control
Spotify shuts down often while playing a playlist. Our internet speeds are great so not sure what else could be the cause?
Hi everyone. We have been a Sonos family for a number of years and really enjoy the system. For surround sound we have the Playbar, subwoofer, and 2 Play 1 speakers in the back. Our TV is an older Samsung LCD that does not have ARC, eARC, and can only pass 5.1 OTA.We are happy with the sound especially when we can get 5.1 from it. We have found that by using this Roku player we can get 5.1 sound from HBO Max and Apple TV+ while 5.1 only works if we use our older Fire stick for Netflix and Disney+. This means we have a splitter to handle both HDMI inputs. This is the splitter we use from iArkPower.I would love to find a solution where we could just use 1 device to get 5.1 sound from everything. Is this possible? If so, do we need a different splitter or a different Roku or Fire device? We did try a newer Fire device and that caused the 5.1 sound in Netflix and Disney to stop working.Again, our current solution is okay, however it would be great to get it down to one device that can hand

Hello,I have recently bought Sonos One speaker (Sonos OS: S2; Version 13.3) and successfully set it up. I can play music for example from Sonos Radio or Spotify and everything works as expected. But when trying to use AirPlay on different devices (iPhone XR / iPhone 6s / Mac Air) although I am able to see Sonos speakers in the list of available, I keep constantly receiving “Unable to connect to Sonos One” message.I have already gone through various suggested in this case steps found here in Sonos community (Reset, Restart, etc) but all of them don’t work for me. Could you please help?
I have read all previous posts about adding SMB1 and this has been done, I have also set up a user and given read permission to the Music shared folder. The Synology NAS is DS420j running DSM 7.0.1-42218. After I enter the username and password the Error message is “Access to the shared folder “192.168.0.200/music” is denied - check the username and/or password.” I have confirmed by also using my username, which has access to everything, and I get the same error.I am able to access the shared folder from my smart TV which is getting access through the Synology Media Server, therefore I don’t believe there is any issues with the WiFi network. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
This seems like a very common problem. I have tried other threads here but so far none have resolved this issue. As far as I can see this only seems to affect Android. My daughter uses iPhone without issues. When I select Reauthorize I get a spinning pink progress bar then a white screen. It progress no further forwards.I have uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos but to no avail. I have an Oppo A74 5G running Android 11, I also tried my older device running Android 8.1.0 but that now exhibits the same issue. My Sonos system is up to date and contains 3 other speakers 2 Play:1’s and a Play:3. I’m using Sonos S2. Any help would be very welcome otherwise this speaker is junk. Thanks
I am sharing here my customer frustration. I change my Wifi network. It took me 15 seconds to update my google devices, 10 seconds for Alexa devices and I am still troubleshooting my Sonos after 2 days.I have the exact same problem than the case below but unfortunately cannot connect my sonos to an ethernet cable. For a Wifi sound system it is incredible that the product is not better tested and the app support is very light.
After sporadically having one of my speakers drop from the system after starting a stream I noticed that I had left the personal hotspot on my phone turned on. I suspect that was interfering with the speaker Wi-Fi connection. Turned it off and all was good.
I’m in a 1k sq ft long and narrow apartment with 9 Sonos speakers all on WiFi, S2. My router is set-up in the middle of the apartment to try and give as even distribution of signal as possible. The space is challenged by having a multiple dense walls that severely weakens the WiFi signal if it needs to go through more than 1 wall. Because of that I mostly live on the 2.4 signal for all my devices. I worked out some issues when I first moved in so that for the most part I’ve dealt with speakers dropping from the system rarely. Not surprisingly the speaker I’ve had the most trouble with is a Play 1 that lives the furthest from the router with the signal needing to go through 3 walls to reach the speaker. For the most part it’s worked well enough that I havent felt the need to change something for the last 2 years of living here. Since adding a baby monitor to the room, there’s been a noticeable increase in songs struggling to play, skipping or stopping playing, to the point that I purcha
Hi Sonos Community!!! What’s Crackin??? PUN Intended. I recently purchased two Sonos Sonance Outdoor speakers and hooked them up to Zone 2 of my Denon Receiver. They worked fine for two days. Crystal Clear and they sound Awesome! Makes my pool feel more like Vegas. On the third day, a couple of changes were made, #1, We added SXM radio to our Sonos Account (Should have zero effect on speaker crackle) #2, the temperature outside reached 99 degrees (We live in the desert). I ran 14 gauge wire approximately 30 feet to each speaker - There should have been no reason for the speakers to blow and the installed wire exceeds the recommendation per the installation manual. Any ideas on what would cause the speakers to crackle at 75% volume? Is this distortion proof that the speakers are damaged? What did Sonos tell you about your incident? Any thoughts you can share with me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!!! Rich in Bombertown.
Good evening, my sonos roam has stopped working. I can play the music on Bluetooth and also airplay but it will not play through the sonos app linked to my 2 sonos one's in another room. I have done a full reset and started it up as fresh and still no show. When I listen to the radio it is showing as playing on the app in both rooms but it does not play on the roam.Any ideas? Thanks.
I am planning to buy a used Sonos ZP120 to drive a pair of large speakers that I have. I already have a pair of Sonos One's in another room that I would like to play in sync with the ZP120.I understand that both the ZP120 and the One's are technology generation S1, so they should be able to be joined together as a Group, right? The manual for the ZP120: https://content.abt.com/documents/20166/ZP120_Setup_Guide.pdf page 11, shows a separate hardware Controller device. Can the S1 Control app on my phone do the same thing as this hardware Controller device? If the phone app can talk to the ZP120, Will I be able to adjust bass & treble tone controls on the One's without affecting the ZP120? Does the ZP120 also have the bass & treble tone control feature?I assume the controller app volume control is a master that affects all systems in the Group. But is there also an option to mute or adjust the volume level in each room separately? Thanks, in advance!
6 Sonos speakers including a Move. When Sonos starts up, it’s either the Move by itself, or the 5 others, never all six at once. (2 Play1, 2 playbar,1 Play3). I have assigned fixed IP addresses. The Move has an address that is not numerically near the others. Play 1 = 192.168.1.168/SonosZP-8, Move = 192.168.1.248. Tried everything I could think of. Rebooting, etc. Any ideas?
Why is the Sonos app no longer visible on my iPhone (yet I can find the app if I go to the App Store)?
