Hello, Considering upgrading my Connect:Amp to the new Amp with AirPlay2.  Just wondering if this combo would be ok.    The new amp seems to have more power per channel than the Connect Amp.      Thanks

Hi there,I own a Sonos Amp.Great amp, love it.But...... it gets rather hot.Its surface temperature is sometimes around 110°F.Is this acceptable?The Amp is placed in a cabinet 20x20 inches with open back and front and has 2.5 inches of 'headroom'. It drives  a set of B&W 606's.

I have been going through my many Sonos devices trying to upgrade the ones that need it.    When I am on the Sonos site looking at my devices it lists several that I threw away years ago. A bridge, a ZP90, the original remote control.    Is there any way to delete these devices?   In searching for this question on this forum, all I see is that if the device is given to somebody else, it will be removed from my account when they activate it on their account.  But in this case, I threw the things away. So there is no new account.    And yes, I know having the old devices listed does not hurt much; but it hurts my need for organization!

How do you get the wall mounts for the Sonos OneSL speakers to swivel?

I have a Sonos Amp, and a Definitive Tech Sub Pro 800 that has both the mono RCA LFE option (What is connected now) and also has the option to connect via high level input. Real Subwoofers have this too. Can this work with the Sonos Amp? I searched but did not find an answer. So basically I’d connect my Def Tech sub to the left and right speaker channels of the amp, and then I would connect my 2 front speakers to the back of the sub. Will that work or do I have to keep using the LFE? It’s for music, so I figured using the High Level input may sound better as the sub would get the same signal as the speakers, right? Or am I mistaken? Thanks!

So I setup my Sonus Faber Sonetto 1 with my newly acquired AMP.  It sounds clear, but I have to agree with the many posts in this forum that complain about brightness and listening fatigue. The Loudness button seems to be at odds with the ‘HI-FI’ pretenses of the amp, is it really a good idea to be turning on loudness by default??  But even more glaring are the boosted highs! As soon as I googled “sonos amp bright” i found a number of threads and articles that mention this. Although there is some debate about this, it seems that the amp being bright is a common observation, including for me. After a bit of tweaking, I found that most reasonable response is achieved with loudness off and treble down to -2/-3 - in line with many other commenters. But I am now concerned about how my tweaks have affected the response curve! Because Sonos doesn't actually show me this vital information. What is the rolloff on the treble adjustment curve??? Looking to implement an office speaker system for a new 6000sqft build out. I’ve always known and trusted Sonos and our IT vendor is pushing us towards Russound. Saying that if we want Sonos, we’ll have to add an amp as well to fill the space. (The largest room is 1500 square feet andI thought 2 Sonos one’s & Five would do the trick) they are arguing because it’s a 20 foot ceiling we would need to use an amp for any system we implement. Which I didn’t think was the case with Sonos…   Any thoughts or arguments here? Or any comments from anyone that has evaluated Russound & Sonos for commercial purposes?

I bought a second hand Connect ZP90 thinking that I would be able to plug in my turntable and listen to vinyl through all my Sonos speakers. Perhaps I misunderstood? I’m still not sure if this is possible. I have a Nad 3020 power amp but no pre-amp. Can I connect this to my Connect or will the signal be too strong? If I can use the power amp or I get a turntable pre-amp and line-in to the Connect, can I expect to be able to listen via wi-fi without any hard wired speakers or a line-in to a Play 5? Many thanks

Is it possible to get a pure/flat signal straight from my turntable into my in-ceiling speakers without ANY digital features and EQ?  I’m trying to mimic a typical turntable->powered speakers configuration but with my SONOS equipment. Details: Audio-Technica at-lp120xusb turntable using onboard pre-amp / output set to line SONOS Amp connected via analog RCA cables SONOS In-Ceiling Speakers connected via analog speaker wire Again, my goal is no digital features.  No streaming, no buffering/delays, no multi-room, etc. Thanks!

I have 9 pairs of Tru Audio Ghost speakers in-ceiling throughout the house connected to a Russound Pro 12HP speaker selector switch and driven as Zone 2 from a Denon 4520 CI Receiver. i’d like to connect a Sonos port to the new Sonos Amp and connect to the Russound switch instead of the Denon receiver. Does anyone know, or have an informed opinion, as to whether the new Sonos Amp would be able to drive all 9 pairs simultaneously? I like the ease of the Sonos interface relative to the Denon and can get all the content I want from Sonos enabled sources.

I have a new sonos port and I want to conect to my imac with Focusrite Scarlet 2i2, but there isn´t sound in my another sonos. Someone know if it is possible?

I’ve been trying this setup, turntable via phono box s via sonos connect , sonos connect with  rca cable to each beolab 4000 , speakers set on line  There will be only sound from one speaker, when i switch cables it’s the other speaker. Same problem with any source (pc , iPhone),  only when i play spotify both speakers will play. I have tried with two different sonos connect, with two beolab 4000 and one beolab 6000, with different rca cables, same problem  

I currently have a “traditional” home theater setup.  I have an AppleTV that sends both video and audio to my TV via HDMI.  I have the TV send out the audio to my A/V receiver.  The A/V receiver then sends out the audio to my 5.1 speaker setup (wired Front, Center, Left, rears, subwoofer).  Since my A/V receiver is basically acting only as a amp to drive the speakers (and controlling the 5.1 output), I was wondering if I can replace the A/V receiver with a Sonos amp or the like?  From what I have read, it does not seem to be.  If I connect the surround sound speakers, the subwoofer won’t work.  Along with a bunch of other reasons, correct? Basically, is there anyway to keep my set up of wired 5.1 home theater system and connect it to my sonos system (which is currently just a Sonos Move, but will expand)? 

My sound quality is terrible when using by new Pro Ject T1 turntable through my Play 5. There are two problems: The volume is strangely low. After reading other posts, I adjusted the audio compression to “uncompressed” and I increased the source level. That helped only a bit with volume; it is still too low. The sound quality is very poor. It sounds tinny, slight echo, almost as if in a chamber, and it emphasizes layer of the tracks it shouldn’t, making the songs almost unrecognizable in parts. I am using the RCA to stereo 3.5 cable provided by Sonos.

I currently have my record player connected up to the Sonos Amp and wired speakers off the amp. It is in the same open space as the TV and I'm looking for a way to listen to my record through headphones. Is there a way to use Bluetooth or wired headphones with the Amp?

I have just removed a Boost from my system and replaced with a wired Arc, all of which works fine. However, I don’t appear to be able to remove the Boost from the list of products (under ‘System’ in the app).  Can anyone advise how this can be done? Thanks.

Hi all, hoping to som help.  I am a Newby so learning as I go here.   I have read the other post and they don’t seem to apply to me.   Just unboxed my pro-ject T1 SB, plugged in the R/W cable into the back of the turntable and then connected to the 3.5 converter into the back of my Play 5.  I have made sure all settings were set exactly to instructions.  When I play an album and connect to Line in I hear nothing but a buzz from the Play 5.     I do not get music from the turntable.  What am I doing wrong?   Thank you,   Greg

I’ve failed to add my Sonos Port devices to my Logitech Harmony Elite. The Logitech app finds the Port devices on the network, but then gives an error saying “D1000: Failed to save your device information to the server.” Has anyone had succes adding a Port to their Logitech Harmony remote?

I have existing wired surround sound including a front center that is imbedded into my fireplace (5 speakers total plus wired sub). I have three Sonos amps to power all of them (and some outdoor speakers) using the ARC HDMI input as suggested/required. I don’t always love the way the voice can get a bit dampened and hard to hear due to the background noise or music with this set up. However, I LOVE when it plays music with this set up. I have considered getting the Arc sound bar for better voice quality and because my TV mount has an empty place for it and looks funny without one. My questions are: Will all of this work together or will it be an either/or scenario? If it all will work together, is this going to be massive overkill or will it sound great? I am not so much worried about cost (spending $$ for the ARC beam, I mean), as I already have a lot invested and just want the best option. Because my wired speakers are imbedded and visible and great, I do not want to upgrade to wir

What is the need for a sonos bridge

Hello.   I have the Sonos AMP and i just ordered the sonos arr and the subwoofer.   Quick question. Can I have all these systems together? turn on my tv on a HDMI Input (Applte TV) and be able to listen the in ceiling speakers with subwoofer and the arc soundbar? IF YES,   Do i need to run the HDMI from the soundbar to the TV? or a HDMI from the AMP to the ARC tv port on the tv? I am new to sonos and i really get confused with this info.     THanks  

As someone who uses a Connect to stream music to a much higher quality DAC and amplifier, I’m wondering whether there are any plans (or indeed any demand) for an S2 version of the Connect?

Hi All Have a Sonos amp connected to ceiling speakers in kitchen and just purchased a pair of outdoor speakers which will be hooked up to the amp this weekend. As the volume control will affect all four speakers, is there any sort of separate control I can put in so can adjust independently.  Idea being that in the garden i may want the volume louder than in the kitchen and vice versa. I know can get wall mounted controls but not sure how good they are or what to look out for as do not want to compromise sound quality   Welcome any suggestions and specific items to look for   Thanks in advance    

Hi everyone and thanks for reading my question.  I use the Beam speaker for my TV, works a treat. Next to my telly I have two large speakers powered my Cambridge amp, I used to use them for music and also for listening to audio from the tv. Im thinking of purchasing the Sonos Port to hook my old (but lovely) stereo into my existing Sonos system. My question is if I use the Beam when watching tv, will I be able to listen also with my Port connected stereo at the same time, or will there be a lag between the two? Id like to improve the TV audio experience using both the beam and my port connected stereo. Also one other thing, what's the DAC like on the Sonos Port? is it worth running with an additional external DAC? I currently have a Cambridge DAC Magic unit and wondered if the Sonos Port would make it redundant.. Any answers or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, many thsnks Anthony  

Hi, I have an old Sonos Connect (gen 1) which has been unused for a couple of years. Some days ago I got the idea to connect to a small amplifier and use it with speakers on the patio (Sonos+Amplifier indoors) and speakers under roof outdoors, wire connected through a window. Everything worked fantastic until yesterday when the Sonos Connect disappeared from the app. When analysing, it seemed as the power cable was loose. I reconnected, but no lights, and the network lights on the back just flickered quickly.  I let it over night and today it was a fast flashing red light. Have tried to reset several times, reconnect with network cable etc. Is there anything left to do, or should I give up? Thanks, Per
