Want to connect Devialet phantom gold to sonos - how do you do this

LONG time Customer with legacy components (Connect, ConnectAmp, Play1) that work just fine within Sonos S1 App - Don’t want, need or can afford to upgrade equipment.But thinking about adding a Sonos Beam gen2 soundbar - How do I integrate this product into my current system? Would separate S1 & S2 Apps work? Other better solutions?Sonos has been a great system but feeling a little left behind or forced to change... Thanks,BobJ

I fear the wireless card is bad in the Connect S15.  I pulled it, but impossible to determine part number.  Could someone recommend a part number for the wireless card in the S15.  Thanks.   

Is Dual Mono available using Sonos Connect Gen 2 via S2 software?

I currently have a turntable connected to a connect amp with 2 wharfdale speakers and a sub connected. I want to add a Yamaha ex-v450 amp to boost power. What’s the best wiring configuration for the speakers? 

Im interested in installing the Sonance In Wall speakers as fronts in a 4.1 home theater system. They’ll be powered by the Sonos Amp and I’ll be using wireless Sonos 1s mounted on the ceiling as rears.However, the wall they’re going in is a really weird configuration and they’ll need to be mounted about 6-7 ft off the ground (approx position in light blue below). Is there any way (or 3rd party product on the market) that will allow them to be angled slightly down and in toward the main viewing position? I also had the thought of installing the Sonance In Ceiling in the wall instead as they can easily be angled. Not sure if they’re specifically designed to shoot down and installing in the wall would be weird?Any thoughts or better ideas on where to put front speakers welcome!

I’ve tried connecting the Port OUT L/R to the Audio IN L/R 1 line and assigning it in the settings to an input. I get no sound regardless of where I’ve connected so far. Thanks!

I have a Connect Gen 2 manufactured in 2018.  Is the sample rate for the analog to digital conversion on the line in 44.1khz? or 48khz?  Is it the same for the Sonos Port?For example if I plugged in a DVD player and the audio output was 16bit 48Khz, would the Connect down sample to 44.1khz?

I have 6 sonos sonance in ceiling speakers, however I am using 14/2 speaker wire. Trying to fit a Port and One in a tight space. If I place the One directly on top of the Port, there will be plenty of airspace around the units. Will this be ok?  An alternative would be to set the port on its side. Would this be a better option? ta

Hey all, thanks in advance for any help/advice/pointing out errors in my thinking.I have a Home Theatre (HT) setup in my 4m x 8m family room/kitchen space. It consists of an Onkyo 5100 wired to pre-existing built in front and surround speakers with a decent center channel and power sub, which I don’t want to replace. All those speakers are in the 4m x 4m family room side. I have a Sonos Move in the kitchen side of the space which is used for music and Alexa functionality - set timers, add things to grocery list, etc. I’m about to upgrade the kitchen and want to tie the two sides of the room together, with a Sonos Amp replacing the Move, so that I can a) listen to the same music through the HT setup or b) get the HT audio playing on the kitchen side. Eventually I’d like to add speakers outside which can do a) and b) as well. I’ve read a lot on this forum, the Sonos product instruction and installation guides and other sites but I’m still not sure if I can get it to work as desired.To st

I got an Amp and will wire around my terrace, which is currently broken in two areas and I want to have 2 speakers on each area.My plan is: I’ll run them in Dual Mono and have two speakers on L and two on R, (L&R being each side of the terrace) Is there a way I can have each side have different volumes?I don’t mind if it’s the same music, but for example one side has a summer kitchen / dining and the other one has a lounge area, so settings / conversations might different so different volumes might be appreciated.The most logical answer is get another Amp but that would require me to drop another $750, is the a simpler way? anything “simple” that can be done in the app? any kind of volume control in the wiring that might help / recommended? I am DIY’ing this :) 

We’re doing a big backyard renovation and trying to figure out the setup and what I need to have an electrician do.  I have some general questions about using Sonos AMP + Outdoor speakers + TV. My assumption is that the best setup to get the TV connected is to connect HDMI ARC from TV to Amp, correct? The TV will only use native apps for TV (YouTube TV, HBO Max, etc).  How easy will it be to switch audio via Siri/Airplay from the TV or vice versa? Any other considerations I need to have as I begin getting equipment and cables for the electrician?Thanks in advance for any insight as to what may be needed.

Pretty sharp group here - so I will throw out a novice question. Forgive me if this is TMI. I have a pretty solid home system but will be moving into my girlfriends house. Her place, no sound system - so the A/V is up to me. I have recently moved home.I have 4 Play ones and a Sub all linked by a Sonos Bridge all a few years old.They worked fine in my old home.I tried to set them up yesterday after updating but its not finding any of them on the S1 app.I have downloaded S2 app but its nit compatible with a bridge.Will I need to purchase a Sonos Boost.Thanks for any advice.

I don’t have many complaints about my Beam, but one thing I’ve found really frustrating is that night mode turns on and stays on indefinitely with no indication outside of the app.It’s very infrequent that I interact with the app so have found on more than one occasion that after using night sound on an evening, I’d forget to turn it off and it can take me a while to realise why the sound is so sub-par over the next few days.This is particularly apparent with my older parents who also have a Beam. They are less attuned to the audio balance and so end up leaving night sound on accidentally and compensating by boosting the volume. It’s usually accidentally left on for weeks unless I notice when I visit them.The fix for this seems fairly simple. Toggling night sound on should (I think) by default timeout the next morning (perhaps with a long press to override). This way night sound mode would automatically disable the next morning so there’s no need to go in and re-adjust settings, i.e. “

I’ve got an outdoor space that we recently expanded. Right now I’ve got two speakers (NHT O2-ARC’s if it helps) running in Dual Mono Mode but with the new space three speakers would fit better. I could fit 4, but it really feels like overkill.  Will running three speakers long-term from the Sonos Amp cause any problems with uneven volume from the speakers, longevity concerns for the Amp itself due to uneven load across the channels, or anything else I might not be thinking off? Thanks everyone!!

Hi all - I have a Connect and currently have it set up to receive audio form my turntable’s preamp and then output to two active speakers, it sounds lovely. I have a headphone amplifier and DAC set up to listen to audio from my PC, laptop or whatever I connect to the DAC and want to see if I can somehow listen to the “line in” from there. My question: has anyone found a way to stream the audio from a Connect or Port to a laptop or PC? Kind of a reverse set up. I would like to listen to my vinyl using my headphones sometimes rather than having to listen through speakers.My desk set up is not too near my connect so it would require a lot of RCA cable to connect the output of the connect to my headphone amplifier. 

I know the topic of speaker selector switches has been discussed before  but i would like to add a few points and or questions to the discussion. I’m presently using a sonos amp with 2 sets of wired speakers (one indoor and one outdoor). I understand the ideal setup would be to use two amps but that would be so expensive. The obvious option would be a speaker selector switch but there are complications with this eg. sound degradation, impedance, and possible damage to the amp. My question then is could Sonos not produce their own speaker selector switch that would be guaranteed compatible with the Sonos amp or at the very least make some recommendations of switches made by other manufacturers ?

Hi there, I just bought a Sonos Port and while it works with my Sony STR-dh190, I need to understand how to power on the Amp’ through the Sonos App.    Is it a 12V cable that I need to connect the two together?   If so, what Port does it go into on my Amp?Thank you for any help! Tony 

Hi there. I would playback music from my audio player (e.g. CD player) to Sonos MOVE over a WIFi network. May I know if the following configuration is possible? analog player (audio output) → Sonos Port (audio in) → Sonos Port (Ethernet) → network switch → WiFi AP → Sonos MOVE x2 I can’t stream the music from WiFi of Sonos Port directly because the MOVE are located away from it (different room and different floor), and I have a WiFi network on the premises already. See if it is possible to stream through the wired network then to the MOVE via the nearby AP. Kindly advise, thank you very much.

I have a Sonos five. Somebody spilled some alcohol on the speaker. The alcohol has come down in the speaker grill and it looks really bad. The sound quality hasn’t taken any damage thankfully. Is there any way to remove and clean the speaker grill or get it replaced?
