Ok im coming here for help. The volume level of our system is drastically less than what it used to be.  System we have is arc, sub, two ones, and move.  We have had sonos for 2+ years but over the last couple weeks noticed the levels were off we started adjusting  fyi  bass used to be -1 to +1 on our sub.  now we have to put it at +10 for the same amount.  I have had two support experiences that did not solve anything other than putting the eq of bass on our arc up to +10 and sub level +15   where this would before had me evicted from the complex next door.  I also just realized i can take the level of our system all the way to 100+ when before maybe 60 was all we could handle.  I did a google search today after weeks of frustration and I see its now saying an update has many users upset and sonos knows there is a problem with a recent update.   I have had 2 support issues for volume levels and they have no solution but a search shows there may be an issue with an update.  This brings

Hello - would a Sonos Boost connected to my router prevent people (who have access to my wifi) use my speakers?

I now have two sets of outdoor speakers and a Sonos amp but I’m not sure where to put the amp. Obviously it would be easier to hook it to the speakers if it was outside, but I’m not sure it can withstand the elements. Where do you recommend I put the amp? Where do others put it?? Hi folks. I have a box full of old vinyl records and I recently bought a double album by Goose. I bought it because it was released in my birthday and I really like the band. Joe Bonamassa re-released one of his double albums and I’d like to pick that up too.  But now I’m thinking it would be great to actually listen to them! I’ve got a sound bar, a couple of One’s, an older Five and I recently bought a Roam. I love the whole Sonos experience. So I’m wondering what and where I should look for a turntable. I’ve also got a Bridge that I bought when I first got my Sonos system.  Any info is appreciated.  Craig 

Hi all,My current system is a Beam (Gen 1) connected to a Sony Bravia 55” and two Sonos Ones used as rear speakers.I have inherited from a relative a Project turntable / Arcam Amplifier / 2 B&W speakers and 2 x Play:3.Firstly I would like to integrate the turntable into my existing system and just use the Sonos speakers. I was looking at an eBay Connect Amp (Gen 2) and hooking the turntable into that. Would that then play through my existing speakers and what about when I want to listen to the TV?Secondly with the combination of Beam / 2 x One / 2 x Play 3 what would be the best setup / placement for TV / music listening?Hope that all makes sense! many thanks.

Hello, just wanted to share something i 3D-designed and then had 3D-printed in Nylon 12 black for my Home theatre project.I had the idea to hide all components/wiring unless i needed them in sight such as XBOX, PS5, Record Player, Blu-ray, etc… Therefore i thought about hanging some of it on a wall behing a panel where i could then start drawing the furniture with a false back space, etc… etc… From this idea spawned the Port Wall Bracket next to it’s Boost component. I am in the process of acquiring a Port.  I have a Rotel RA-930AX amp.  I am wondering if, with turtable and cd player connected to the amp through appropriate inputs, you can connect port output to tape in and port inputs to tape out and thereby be able to plau the turntable and the cd player to other sonos speakers.  I understand that they would be out of sync with the speakers connected to the rotel but I don’t need to play through all peaskers simultaneously. In other words, if what I am asking works the syning is not an issue. 

I want to use both a CD player and turntable with the Sonos Amp - what’s the best way of doing this? Thanks 

I am looking for a real audiophile’s recommendation on how to best wire the setup for a backyard that is a wide open .75 acres with upsloping embankments on both sides and rear (looks like a bowl). Both speaker wire and access to wifi and electricity are no issue. I am looking for general location ideas as well, but just getting the load correct would be a huge help. Here’s what I have: 3 sonos amps3 sonance passive subs6 sonance garden series speakers5 Sonance passive outdoor speakers2 Sonos play 5’s that can be protected from elements.  

I want to connect a CD jukebox to play throughout my home. I currently have (second-get) Sonos amp, two pairs of “Fives,” a Beam connected to two Fives, a Beam connected to two Play-Ones, two freestanding Play Ones, and another Sound Bar. A sonos Amp, which serves as the internet input for the whole system, plays out to two Klipsch speakers. Can i connect a CD jukebox to the amp and then play through the entire house?Many thanks.

I have bought a Sonos amp to use to stream a turntable to my Sonos system and have the option to add wired speakers later. Is it safe to use without wired speakers? I saw a similar thread about the connect amp zp120 but wanted to check it was the same answer!  

Hi thereI have a denon amp that is sounding great, wired to speakers. I need to add bass and own 2no, sonos sub woofers. Can i connect the subwoofers to a sonos ‘box’ wirelessly and connect this box to my amp via din connectors?

I have an old Sonos Connect device, and am trying to put together a “new” system after moving to a new house. The first few devices had to be factory reset in order for the app to detect them, but are currently up and running fine.I cannot factory reset the Connect. I have held down the mute button for at least a minute after reconnecting the power. A solid white light comes on for about 4 seconds, but nothing else ever happens. I don’t get anything amber. I don’t get solid; I don’t get flashing; I don’t get green. The white light doesn’t even come back on.Is this device now just a doorstop?

Hi, I’ve just bought a Sonos system with Beam Gen 2, 2x Sonos 1 speakers, and 1x Move speaker. I’ve not received all the pieces yet so nothing has been set up but I’ll be controlling everything through the Sonos IOS app.  However, my existing system includes a Bang & Olufsen turntable with mini amplifier and a Tivoli Audio CD player. I’d like to be able to use these sometimes and I understand I need to use a Sonos Connect to do so. Or do I? I’d like to buy a cheaper used Connect; I can get Gen 1 for $100. But will it work with my system? (Since I’m not set up yet I can’t test it.) I’m not willing to spend hundreds of dollars to connect components I don’t use often, so I need inexpensive solutions. Thanks for your advice!

Hello to the community,My current setup is (apart from the streaming services) a Project X2 turntable going into a preamp, then into the line in on a Sonos five. I have that Sonos five stereo pared with another and that is my main setup for listening to vinyl. I then have other Sonos ones around the house if I want to pickup the turntable when I’m in the kitchen etc (for example).Someone has suggested that I should feed the turntable and preamp into a Sonos Amp and then into passive speakers as my main system, then use the fives somewhere else in the house. They state, I will get a better HIFI representation from the turntable going into the Sonos Amp than the Five.My main question is - what is the difference between using the Sonos Amp and passive speakers, over going into the Five line in as a stereo pair?What is it (if anything) that the Sonos Amp has in processing sound over and above the Sonos Five input?I would value any thoughts/ opinions or experience…Cheers, Robin 

I just purchased a home with in-wall speakers and wall controls in about every room. These speaker wires all terminate in the living room near my entertainment cabinet to a Niles  HDS-6L Speaker Control Box. I have a Sonos Playbase and three other Play:1 wireless speakers. I simply want to push the Sonos Playbase audio to these in-home speakers. How to do?

Hi all,I have set up Sonos throughout my house (Arc + Sub, then One’s throughout the house).One of my rooms has a Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3. I don’t want to get rid of it, as it is stil a very nice sounding and well looked-after device. It doesn’t support Airplay though (only aux + BT). I’d like to add it in to Sonos system so it can be part of the house generally. While a relatively expensive solution, is it possible to do the following?Get a Sonos Port Run a RCA out from the Port, to a 3.5mm aux in on the Aura? (using a RCA to 3.5mm cable)All the answers I can find online relate to the Port bringing much “fuller” systems into the mix, and I can’t find anything that would seem to apply here.Thanks in advance!

Guys.See attached my floor plan for the Ground Floor. I have a separate reception and kitchen area.How should I set up my in ceiling speakers for each of these rooms? Few important points to note:Reception Room will have the TV on the left wall Kitchen will have an island in the centre and dining table near the window.Please help.Thank you.  

Hi. I have a sonos amp connected to my tv and when i play on this amp from sonos f.ex. it suddenly stops and when i go into the app it say its playing from “line in” but the tv is off.This can happen once ever 10 min or once ever 2 hours. I have on auto play, but this should not happen when the tv is off. Anyone else experienced this and know what to do?

I have a gen 1 Sonos connect amp that is just blinking off and on white every 10 seconds; 10 seconds off 4 seconds on.  Any help or anyone else experience this?Thanks for any help! 

I am remodeling a back patio and installing 4 ceiling speakers and a TV. With the sonos amp will I be able to stream music to the ceiling speakers and have the TV on minus audio through the tv? How easy is it to switch back to TV audio through the ceiling speakers? Thanks for the help.

We’ve purchased the Sonos architectural in ceiling speakers and amp. Is it possible to place the amp inside a cabinet with correct wiring obviously? Wondering if this will affect performance or temperature.Thanks in advance for the advice.

My guess is no, but the Sonos support article is not clear.At https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3222?language=en_US, it says: “Trueplay tuning is supported by all Sonos products except Port, Connect, and Roam SL.”The article also specifically mentions Amp and Connect:Amp as specifically supporting TruePlay (under certain conditions).I kind of doubt the ZP80 and ZP100 have any magical TruePlay powers that their later iterations don't. The possibilities seem to be:ZP80 and ZP100 do not support TruePlay at all. ZP100 supports TruePlay in the same specific configurations that Amp and Connect:Amp do. ZP80, like Connect and Port, does not support TruePlay. ZP80 and ZP100 do, in fact, support TruePlay, without qualifications. (Seems very unlikely, but it’s what the language of the article implies.)(The article also does not make clear whether TruePlay is supported by both generations of Connect:Amp, or only Gen 2, another issue it would be nice to have clarity regarding.)Can anyone shed any

I have 2 connect amps wired to episode  outdoor speakers (ES-500-ew-4). I have had 6 speakers blow in the matter of 3 months. Is this an amp issue or a speaker issue? 

Hello Team:  I know I should look for this anser - but I cannot find it.  Here is whjat I have and what I am trying to do. Samsung Q LED TV w/ ONE HDMI ARC portDenon AV receiverSonos AMPUse case:  I want to have the TV audio currently set up via my AV receiver (NOT touching SONOS at all) as an audio source for Sonos.  I see that there is an HDMI port on the back of the AMP.  However, there is only ONE HDMI ARC port on the TV which is currently connected to my AV receiver.  Am i able to get a splitter such that the TV audio goes properly to my AV system (NON SONOS) and ALSO as a source from AMP.  I want to listen to tv audio on my deck which speakers are powered by the AMP. Comments and suggestions please (aside from RTFM!) Thanks
