Hello Team:  I know I should look for this anser - but I cannot find it.  Here is whjat I have and what I am trying to do. Samsung Q LED TV w/ ONE HDMI ARC portDenon AV receiverSonos AMPUse case:  I want to have the TV audio currently set up via my AV receiver (NOT touching SONOS at all) as an audio source for Sonos.  I see that there is an HDMI port on the back of the AMP.  However, there is only ONE HDMI ARC port on the TV which is currently connected to my AV receiver.  Am i able to get a splitter such that the TV audio goes properly to my AV system (NON SONOS) and ALSO as a source from AMP.  I want to listen to tv audio on my deck which speakers are powered by the AMP. Comments and suggestions please (aside from RTFM!) Thanks

I was wondering if someone can help me with an answer I can’t find. I am installing 12 Sonos ports in my home because I have a pre-existing setup with amp and what not. All my amps are sonance amps, so my question is will the Sonos amp control the volume of my amp? I know there is an option for passthrough on the port, but there is not list that I can find that tell me what amps work for volume control on the port.any help would be greatly appreciated.

Currently I have a Bridge and 2 Connects powering 2 different amps directly (wired), one is located downstairs and the other upstairs. Often I group them together to play the same music throughout the house. This has always worked great.To upgrade it seems that I should purchase 2 Ports (doing away with all 3 prior components). My question is can I use my existing wifi for each Port and still group them together without latency or do I need to connect one Port to my modem (over ethernet) and the first amp and set up a Sonos wireless network for the other Port to use and connect it to my second amp? Or is either solution viable?Thanks

Hi. I currently have 2 Sono’s Amps hooked up, with them configured as such: 1 Amp - Connected to Kitchen Speakers2 Amp - Connected to Master Bedroom & Backyard Speakers I was wondering if there was a way I could individually control the music played on each speakers for 2nd Amp. So basically, wondering if I could play music in my backyard speakers without it coming out in my bedroom, obviously without needing to buy another.  I’m guessing this is not possible, but figured it was worth a shot.

Hi, I have a Vinyl Turntable (at-lp120 usb) with a preamp in it that I would like to play it on my sonos system. I plugged it to my Play5 (1st gen) with a jack but the sound is quite low and the quality disappointing. Anyone know how I could have a decent sound quality ? Should I use a connect ? or a connect:amp ? Thanks !  

I recently acquired the turntable. There are 2 issues that are different than all other turntables I have owned. I would like to know whether what I am experiencing with the Pro-Ject T1 a defect or if this is how it is supposed to function.Once the LP playing reaches the end, the arm is supposed to come to it's resting position but it stays at the end and keeps spinning. This cannot be good for the needle or the record. Even if I manually return the arm to it's resting position, the turntable keeps spinning. I have to switch off the appliance for the turntable to stop spinningThanks for any guidance. 

I'm using my Sonos Port basically as a pre-amp, powered by an Acurus A150 2 channel amplifier, and an Adcom GCD-750 CD player.  I'm getting really distorted sound.I've tried taking the Source Level down to 1. I've played around with the EQ. Nothing is working. When I remove the Port and connect it to my volume controller, it sounds perfect.Any suggestions?

Hi all,Last year I deleted my Sonos ‘Bridge’, and replaced the Sonos ‘Connect’ with the ‘Amp’. When I log in and look at My System, it is still telling me I have the Bridge and the Connect. Its not a big deal, but being a simple soul, I’d like to get rid of the reference to those items that I no longer have. Any idea how to do that, please?Thanks in anticipation, 

I have the newest Sonos amp powering 6 Sonance Satellite speakers around my pool. I have an outdoor projector I would like to occasionally use and was hoping I could use the RCA inputs to connect for sound. My projector has the headphone outlet that came with an adapter that splits from the small (3.5 I think) output on the back of the projector to the red and white RCA plugs. I plugged those directly into the red/white RCA inputs on the Sonos Amp and tried to use the "line-In" option from my Sonos app on my phone, but am getting no sound. Is there a way for me to do this?   

At the beginning of May I purchased two SANUS speaker stands for my SL One’s.  One of the speaker stands has a faulty part as in the base does not screw into the upright - it’s poorly manufactured.Since receiving the item and trying to set it up I’ve been back and forth with SONOS to have a replacement sent.  It’s now been 4 weeks! and I’ve still not had a replacement sent or the correct returns procedure given to me.Is SONOS service always this poor?????

I have a turntable for about 6 months I am having issues with the sound being muted or muffled, especially vocals on my records. Are there any setting on the Sonos 5 that need to be adjusted to clear up the sound quality? Could it be the needle on the turntable?

One of my original “Connect Amps” has failed and I must replace it with the newer “Amp”. I currently have an original “Bridge” hard-wired to my Ethernet switch in a convenient location and the Bridge communicates wirelessly to the Connect Amp. Will this setup work with the newer Amp? I’d rather not run an Ethernet cable to the place where the Amp must be located.

First of I want to say that I have been using Sonos products since 2009. Besides Sonos, I had a lot of gear but none of it could match Sonos's ease of use and sound quality (for the price). I have to come clean and say that I am used to using Sonos everywhere and I love it. As an audiophile, I was looking to replace my aging Sonos Connect with Port and realized from all the reviews that it does not have a better digital output. This was a show stopper for me and it is a show stopper for all audiophiles out there. You are missing a very important niche of the market. It is taken by Raspberry Pie implementations and Bluesound and Aurelia, not because they have better software or support for services, but because they have a better digital output. That is it. Nothing else. Everyone I have talked to said they like Sonos but the digital output is jittery. I have tried a lot of solutions and even they sound better than Connect over coax they are all not easy to use, do not h

Hi there,I have an amp that is connected to 3 pairs of Sonos Sonance ceiling speakers in my living room. Can I connect a Sonos turntable to that same amp? I’d like to be able to play records over the living room speakers.Thanks,Derrek

I have many Sonos speakers, amps, etc… I may have a Sonos problem :)One of my older systems is a Sonos:Connect that runs into a Sony consumer receiver which then powers 4 outdoor speakers (rated at 125W each). The problem I have with this system is that the receiver times out, which means that every time I want to turn on the outdoor speakers, I have to manually flip the receiver on. Boo!I installed a couple extra outdoor zones, which are powered with the new Amps which have enough juice now to power my other outdoor speakers.So, my options now seem to be replace my existing Connect/Receiver solution with 2 Sonos amps ($700 ea), which now have enough power per channel to run everything. Or, I find a receiver that doesn’t auto-turn off that is less than $1400 and keep the Connect. Of course, the other problem is that the Sonos amps are all back ordered until August, so… yeah…  Anyway, looking for receiver options, suggestions?

I have 6 Connects in my house (plus one amp and one Beam).  Sadly, I now wonder if I have put my bet on the wrong horse.  One of my Connects ar connected to at 12 channels amp, powering the 6 pairs of 3rd party in-ceiling wired speakers covering my kitchen- and open area.  Now I feel I really need one or two subs in this area. But silly Sonos does not let me connect a Sub with a Connect.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?  Could I buy a One and pair the Connect, One and Sub to be controlled together as one area?  Could I somehow connect a new Connect to a 3rd party amplifier and a 3rd party sub, and pair the two connects together?Is there any way to use a Sonos Amp to power my 6 pairs of speakers, for then to pair the Sub with the Sonos Amp?I invested in Sonos because it was supposed to be simple :(

Just received my Roam today. Heads up for everyone as it’s not made clear anywhere prior to purchase that it’s only compatible with the new version of the app.  This means if you have “legacy” Sonos products as part of your set up and use the S1 app to control them you won’t be able to see your Roam as part of your existing Sonos network.  You have to download the new version of the app and then set up a new Sonos system to add the Roam to it. Then you have to add all your music services, any favourites etc etc again to the new app to be able to access them on your Roam.  Pretty s*it experience to be honest, and annoying it’s not made clearer. By having “old” products Sonos doesn’t want me to have in my network I’m effectively left with a bog standard stand alone portable speaker. Struggling to see the benefit of it over a JBL Bluetooth speaker at the moment to be honest (build quality and sound quality aside obviously 😆

Hi, I have just been given a Roam as a gift to add to my existing Sonos suite.  I have the older technology (Play 3 and Play 5) using Sonos 1.  From what I am reading it appears I cannot link the 2 together.  To use the Roan I have to be on Sonos 2, but if I upgrade to Sonos 2 are my Play 3 and Play 5 speakers rendered useless?

I purchased my Sonos Connect in November 2018.  It has gradually got more and more disinterested in living.  I have read that the Sonos Connect is being phased out in favour of the Connect Amp and that Connect is out of support and basically you’re pish out of luck if you have one.  Is this the case or should I expect my Connect to still function in the way it was always intended?I have a Project cd box s2 and T1 Turntable connected to a Stereo Box S Phono amp which is in turn connected to the Sonos Connect which then pushes the music to two Play 5 gen 2’s which are wall mounted.We have an Alexa which plays to the play 5s.The Sonos Connect now flashes white and is very difficult to connect.  Why might this be?   

Can Sonos Amp be used to add another zone to an Onkyo receiver system?   Will the Sonos Amp have access to all the inputs of the Onkyo receiver?Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.Thank you.

Hello,Is it possible to connect YAMAHA RX-VX85 to Sonos AMP just as a FM radio source? There are no speakers connected to YAMAHA RX-VX85. Just the SONOS AMP, 4 IN-Ceilling Speakers, SUB and soundbar.

I have just “upgraded” from Connect:Amp to Amp.Previously, I had a Connect:Amp working as a main music player, but when I played the TV through a Playbar, the Connect:Amp would feed surround sound to the attached speakers.I now find with the new Amp that there is only the option to use the Amp as a main source OR as surrounds (front or rear). Can it really be that Sonos has removed functionality from the new product or am I missing something?

We have two Sonos surround set-ups, one we use much more than the other, and I’m wondering whether to reconfigure to maximise the sound quality of the one we use most.  Current set-up: Room 1: Playbar and 2 x Play:3 Room 2: Beam, 2 x One, Sub We use room 2 far more than room 1. We’ve already moved the sub, which was originally in room 1.  But now I’m wondering whether also to swap the surrounds. Swapping the sound bars themselves would be more hassle so I’m disinclined to do that. I care mostly about music playback, and have the surrounds in ‘full’ mode, but improvements to TV sound would also be nice. On the face of it, “three” is better than “one”, right? So I’d assume swapping the surrounds would improve room 2.  But… given there’s already a sub in room 2, does that render some of the Play:3’s advantages redundant?  Similarly, the Play:3 is older tech than the One. Does that matter?  Finally, I don’t wan

I have a Sonos amp connected to my computer. The line-in autoplay works to detect loud audio, but the line-in playback on Sonos stops every time the game or movie is a little bit quiet. I have to go back in to the app and press play dozens of times a movie, or gaming session. The other option is to adjust my computer’s volume by leaving the game or movie, and adjusting the volume slider in Windows. This causes a notification sound, which triggers the autoplay. I’ve heard the last half of that audio hundreds of times a day. Is there any way to leave the line-in playback on? If not, please send in a feature request because this is making me hate my Sonos system every time I use it.
