What to get

I’m currently looking to begin my outdoor landscaping project and that comes with installing my outdoor speakers. There is no doubt these speakers will tie in to my home system as it currently has 9 amps. 2 arcs, and a port powering various different areas throughout my home. That being said I am tossed up and quite frankly not educated enough to make the right decision. Best Buy is currently packaging and selling the Sonance MAG series with an Amp at some pretty great prices. My confusion comes with the pricing. To the naked eye, the Mag 4.1 system and amp is $2,700 while the 6.1 system is $1,500. My fear comes that the power on the 6.1 will not be sufficient and being that the yard is very large, and there are no neighbors nearby, I want some good volume. The 4.1 system is rated for 250W @ 8 ohms while the 6.1 is 150W @ 5ohms. Can someone shed any light and knowledge on this for me? Which is the best system for me? Should I forgo the amp and use a port with a more powerful amplifier?

I quite happy using my Playbar for films etc. and intend to eventually buy the Sub.Can i use a pair of Play Ones, placed either side of my TV for music or can i do better with a pair old 3’s or even a pair of 5’s?  I’m setting up a TV/HiFi system in my new Mancave and I’ve read that i can’t have the 2 music speakers playing when watching films etc as they will lag?  Correct? Not too bothered if i can't but just want the best music sound, bang for buck. Thanks 

Hello,I have two “Polk Audio Patio 200” outdoors hooked on a Sonos Connect. It covers one area of the yard really well. I have another area of the yard that I would like to cover, only a few feet away from the left Polk speaker. We can hear the music but I'd have to crank it up high, which is not cool for the neighboors.The simpest idea would be to extend the speaker wires out to a third speaker, but part of me tells me it's a stupid idea:I'd only get the left side of the stereo (which might be acceptable- I don't expect high audio quality there, I already have indoors for that). The sonos amp would have to power two left speakers with the same output vs one right speaker. I could also get 2 new speakers so at least it's even on each side. I am pretty much posting here for someone to confirm it is stupid…If so, then what are my options? I could get a standalone Sonos, but Sonos don't do outdoor speakers (It's out of the rain but don't know how long a Play One would survive outside) and

Hi all, recently moved into a house with the NUVO Concerto system and looking to update the source systems (currently runs off a computer CPU with music folders...). I just want to know if I can plug in a Sonos Port into the basic RCA source inputs or if this particular amp will be to out of date. Ideally I can control music and volume from the Sonos app rather than the NUVO control panels on the wall in each room for the in-ceiling speakers. Hoping I don’t need to update the multi-zone amp.

Hi guys,I am waiting to get my hands on the Sonos Arc when it becomes available on the 14th of May (Eastern Europe), looking to create a 100% Sonos Home Theater setup.My living room is 25sqm and the distance to the tv is 3.5m. Main use: 85% movies, 15% music. I was thinking of getting the ARC, Gen3 Sub and 2x One SLs; The surround speakers would sit to my left and right.I do have a few questions though:Would the Sonos Five improve the experience greatly in order to make it worth the extra money? Can I get and use also 2x Sonos Fives as dedicated front L/R speakers + the ARC in front of the TV + Sub + 2x OneSL for surround?  How many speakers can you connect in total to the ARC? can I make it 7.1.2? or 9.1.2?  How well does the speakers deal with bass? My room has poor acoustics and the bass from the subwoofers is amazing when sitting directly in front of the tv but 100% absent when moving elsewhere. I couldn't find a better placement for the old subs in the old HT systems I've had.Look

Does anyone know if their is a difference between the Sonance SR2-125 amp and the Sonos Amp?  I have the Sonance Mag 4.1 patio series speaker system and can see that they are sold with either the Sonos Amp or the Sonance SR2-125.  Can someone explain to me what the difference is?

Hi all, A client of mine has to install an audio system in the basement floor of his house where an indoor swimming pool is located. The room is aprox. 10 meter x 6 meter (32 ft x 16 ft) which part half is occupiedby the pool. My idea is to install 2 Sonos Five in the two corners and in the middle on Sonos One to let him to control the system by voice.What do you believe? I am trying to figure out a design that will work with primarily using line in for a turntable and music stored locally on my phone (occasional Spotify streaming too). I am new to the Sonos ecosystem and some things are still a bit opaque to me.For Sonos products that offer line in, I see there is the Amp, the Five, or discontinued Connect. I'm not sure what purpose the amp would serve for line-in though, since the Five also offers line in, is cheaper than the amp, AND is a speaker.Here is what I'm thinking for the setup: 1x Five (instead of the Amp), a pair of Ones, and the sub, and have this all be one group. May add a beam for the TV at some point. I'd likely get a $50 stereo mixer and have that go line-in to the Five. Phone with local files, turntable, maybe my DJ mixer, would all be connected to the stereo mixer that goes into the Five.Does that sound like an ideal setup or are there other things that I'm not considering? I have two sonos one in stereo configuration, would it be a good idea to complement it with a sonos five?  I don't want to buy the sonos sub, so I am considering a sonos five to increase the bass.

HiWith great enthusiasm I have read the reviews of the Sonos Arc. I am looking for a Dolby Atmos setupthat both sounds good for movies and music and looks good (wife friendly). The reviews suggest that the Sonos Arc + 2x Sonos One + Sonos Sub meets these requirements.The only thing that keeps me from pressing the buy button is my doubts about the dimensions of my living room. The room is not rectangular and low-ceilinged. Below you see the details.Will a Sonos setup be a good solution for me and will Atmos work? I sure hope so.

So I’m currently working on an experience in Chicago open to the public. We need to figure out a system for audio. We would love to work with Sonos.Here's our situation: We have two four-channel amps that each need four playback devices. The amplifiers are wired to existing speakers. Each amp channel needs a playback device. And we want to use Sonos with our system so that we can easily be controlled wirelessly through the app. Do you have suggestions for how to create a Sonos system with our current set up? so here we go … I just bought a house and since I sold mine with my equipment (Sony), I’m ready to buy brand new equipment (SONOS).  The house comes with ceiling speakers (office, laundry!, master bath, master bedroom, kitchen, living room, outdoor upstairs, outdoor downstairs).  It also comes with 7 speakers for the TV area.  so … I don’t need to buy any speakers (other than a subwoofer to achieve 7.1).  Everything arrives in a utility closet upstairs (TV is downstairs).  While I’d like to use WIFI, the house also has cat 5 (or 6, not sure yet I have not moved in just yet) throughout the house.  Here’s what I want to achieve -play music in every zone - either same or different music from same or different sources looks like I have 8 zones + the TV) setup the surround sound 7.1 I don’t need the TV to play in other rooms (just surround sound / media room is enough) TV is a smart TV Samsung From what I’ve seen there is an HDMI cable running from the TV area to the utility closet (need to

I’m having trouble deciding how to add a soundbar to my living room setup. I currently have a Sonos amp driving the 4 ceiling speakers in that room and the tv sound coming through those ceiling speakers. I’m not a fan of the all tv sound coming from the ceiling and would like to add a soundbar. I’m overwhelmed by all the options and looking for anyone that has a similar situation or any advice. There are speaker cables for a left, right, and center channel behind the TV that run to the server closet, but there isn't any room for speakers other than a soundbar. So far I’ve narrowed it down to these solutions.Just get a normal soundbar and leave the Sonos system and TV sound separate. No need for a Sonos soundbar if I’m keeping them separate.  Get a Sonos Beam and connect the the 4 ceiling speakers as SR and SL speakers in the Sonos app. I didn’t think the arc would be a good match as its atmos speakers’ sound would be coming from the same area as the ceiling speakers. I have 6 Polk Audio RC80i 2-way Premium In-Ceiling 8" that I would like to run off 1 Sonos Amp.  Is that possible?  It sounds like you can using Sonos’ architectural speakers because they are all identical, but is that possible with 6 identical Polk speakers?Thanks!

Hi all, I am about to purchase a Sonos move , I already have 2 Sonos play 1's connected with a sonos beam grouped in one room.My question is will I be able to use my move seperately and together with my existing Room (as above) when I so wish please ?

I apologise if this has been asked before, but I’m new at this sort of stuff.I play my TV through an Apple TV 4th Gen - I connect them with an HDMI cable.The TV speakers are poor, so I’d like to see if I could add a Sonos 1 SL to improve the sound quality - my grandson has Sonos 1s and they are very impressive. If it works, I’d  then get a second Sonos 1 for a stereo effect.My question is - will this work? I imagine the sound would have to get from the ATV to the Soos 1 by wireless - is that possible? Can the ATV broadcast wireless signals - obviously I know it receives them, but I’m not sure if it can send them to the Sonos.Can anybody help Thanks
