I am interested in becoming a Dealer for Central America, What is the process?

Hi - I currently have a 5.1 setup in my living room with (1) Playbar, (1) Sub, and (2) Play 1's. I also have a Play 1 in my dining room that I use when combining everything and playing music throughout the house. I collect vinyl records and need to know what the best setup is for my system. 1) Can someone link me to a few turntables that work easily with the Sonos? 2) Would it be better to get a Play 5 and connect that directly to my turntable? If I do, can I play music thru that Play 5 only or can I play music throughout the entire house? 3) I don't have an Amp, so I assume I'd need the ConnectAmp if I don't go the route of the Play 5? Or could I use the Connect. That way I can just send the music to all my current speakers. Ideally, I'd like to play music throughout the entire house from my turntable but I realize it may be easier to get the Play5 and just play it in my office area. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I have a small 1050sqf 2 bedroom NYC apartment. I am first looking for a completely wireless 5.1 utilizing the soundbvar, meaning none of the speakers will be able to be plugged into an ethernet as the cable modem / router, is all located in a closet. The living / dining area is 1 large room that is 12' 4" x 27' 9" with the actual movie viewing area being 12'4" x roughly 13'. Also have 1 bedroom that we would like 1 speaker in for music that is 11xs15. Any suggestions?

I have 2 plays 1s in my kitchen diner (25-30 ft x 12 ft approx), I was surprised for the size at how good they sound and am very happy with them. I am looking to add to the same room (sightly rushed by the price rise tomorrow!) and am considering the following options: 1 - A sub. Expensive and a one trick pony to an extent. I do though have a couple of good spots where I could put it. 2 - A play 5. Cheaper than the sub and offers some flexibility but I do not think I could place it centrally between the 2 1s without compromising where the 1s go. I could place it up the other end of the room from the play 1s (which is generally the end that I sit) but I fear the 5 would over power the 1s? 3 - 2 more play 1s for a 2nd stereo pair. Obviously the cheapest option and I could effectively place them so that each of the 4 would be pretty much in a corner. Thoughts appreciated.

Hi, I need to place my connect amp on its side to hide behind wall mounted TV. Will this be an issue? Top holes would still be facing out, bottom would face to wall. One sode would sit on self. Can anyone see why this would cause an issue. And if so what issue? Thanks

In our bedroom we have a clock radio on which we use as an alarm and listen to the news every morning. We also have our 20-year-old stereo receiver with CD player and turntable wired to floor standing speakers that we listen to only a few times per year. We both want more music in our lives. Can I get Sonos 5 and be done with it, or is there a less expensive alternative that uses some of the existing equipment? (I do understand that we have to get our music onto the network, but I don't know how expensive or satisfactory streaming is.) Thank you for your suggestions.

Need help with a speaker strategy. I am moving into a new apartment and am not sure what my setup should be I currently have 1 play 5 1st gen 1 play 3 1 play 1 I'm open to buying another speaker to pair, prob either a play 1 or play 5 I've attached a floorplan My initial thought is two play 1's on the tv stand - paired a play 5 in the kitchen in the same zone as the 1's and then the play 3 in my bedroom any thoughts/ideas on this? would the paired 1's and a 5 work well together and basically give me good coverage in the living room and kitchen? also, the furniture in the floorplan is not my actual furniture, just the company's ad floorplan. open to any suggestions, thanks

Can I play steamed music, eg Spotify, through my Yamaha receiver on to my P:5 using the party function when the P5 isn't wired? The receiver can see the p5 is there as zone 2 but the Sonos doesn't pick the music up

Hello, can you all please help me with best setup given my existing components? I am either going to get another Play 5 for a 2 x Play 5 plus Sub setup... or, get 2 x Play 1 for a 1 x Play 5, 2 x Play 1 plus Sub setup... It's very hard to figure out which to do! I am more concerned with quality music sound than any sort of surround sound set up. Please help!!

Greetings! Complete newbie here looking for some guidance. If I lay out my initial needs, can you point me in the right direction? Firstly, my wife bought me a Crosley turntable for my birthday. I have no existing speakers, and up until this point, the extent of my music listening experience has been through the Pandora app on my Smart TV, or iTunes on my cheap little Bluetooth speaker. I know, I know, but we all have to start somewhere, right? Anyway, I bought a phono preamp for my turntable, so now I just need to figure out my set-up. The turntable will most probably reside in my home office, which is upstairs away from the rest of the house. I say “probably” because that’s where I’ll get the most use out of it for now, but it’s possible that eventually I’ll want to move it downstairs once my kids get older, and my wife figures out our furniture needs (we only recently moved in to this house, and we don’t have much). I am in a dilemma! I would like to use a mini system to my Sonos Connect and Play 1's. But nobody will recommend something compatible. I understand it isn't good to recommend other companies products but I would like to play CD and my USB turntable through the same system to my Sonos! Hi all. Just completed building my workshop and need to get Sonos in there, however I'm concerned about the temperature issues. Not sure which Play device would best cope with the cold weather or if a connect amp would be better. Worshop is insulated and plywood lined but insulation is minimal. Hi! Im building a setup in my parents new house with 8 different zones connected through connect amps. Have some questions hope somene could give me advice: 1) Starting from the facts that 1) CDs are outdated, that everything is in Spotify (or others) and 2) Theres Tune In Radio with the sonos app, my parents still want to be able to play CDs and to hear live FM (and AM ideally) radio with no delays (Tune IN radio adds some seconds or minute). All the setup its going to be centralized in a HUB, so I think I could add a CD/RADIO Tunner connected through the line in to one of the Connect Amps to be able to fulfill their requierements, but is there any good one you can recomend they can still play7pause/next/search frquency remoteley without needing to go to the hub (instead for introducing a CD in the player). I was thinking some that has an app to control through IOS or Android through the home WIFI network. 2) Any advice for the In-cealing speakers? I need some mono and some

Hello. I currently have a Playbar connected to my Panasonic 55" plasma TV. I'm looking to accomplish a couple of things here: 1) Create a 5.1 home theater setup using my existing Playbar. The ideal solution would include in-wall speakers and a non-Sonos sub. Is this possible with the Playbar, in-wall speakers, a Connect, a Yamaha RX-V679BL 7.2 receiver, and a sub? 2) I want to add speakers to my deck/patio as a separate zone. I want to do so utilizing the same receiver mentioned above as well as (I'm assuming) another Connect. Is this possible? Thanks for any help you can provide!

A few months ago I purchased the Playbar and just bought the sub last week. Very happy with both but am now looking to add two speakers for TV viewing as well as listening to music. This is for our basement which is about 450 square feet, so not very big. I've read lots of input and reviews for the Play 1 and Play 3 as well as the Play 5 speakers. I was set on the Play 3 but it doesn't seem to get as much love as the Play 1 for adding to a Playbar and Sub. Since I have the Sub already, I'm thinking the Play 5 wouldn't be necessary. I don't mind spending the extra $200 for a pair of Play 3's over the Play 1's if it is truly worth the extra money. If you had a Playbar and a Sub - what two speakers would you add ? Thank you, Gary

Will the Sonos Playbar support Dolby 5.1 with my new Sony X930D 55" television? I see some people say it will not but also that Sony released a firmware to allow Dolby 5.1 pass through via optical out. Would that give me 5.1 through the Playbar? I will be connecting only a Fire TV and PS4 to the television. My primary television watching is done through Netflix, Sling TV, Playstation Vue, and Kodi. I will not be hooking up a blu-ray player so no DTS shouldn't be an issue. Thanks!

I want to replace part of my B&O installation with Sonos equipment. The current setup is the following: BEOCENTER 3 as a central Hub. Connected (on the "in-side") to this are : Satellite decoder ; Telenet Decoder ; Radio/CD player ; DVD Player. on the "out-side") a Panasonic TV Plasma operated only as a screen ; 1 B&O Subwoofer Beolab 2 ; 4 B&O speakers Beolab 8000 (Front Left and Right - Back Left and Right) ; 1 Central Front speaker B&O Beolab 3. I want to replace the sound part with SONOS ( Playbar ; Sub and 2 Play s 1,3 or 5's). Can anyone advise on if this is possible and how? Thnx in advance.

I've just won a Connect (ZP90) on eBay and want to use it to add Sonos to my bathoom (6'5" x 5'9" , 1.96m x 1.75m). I don't have much experience with audio tech so just looking for some advice on what to buy. I'm looking for fairly decent sound quality, though I'm not an audiophile, and good volume but it's only a small room. Amp: Am I right in thinking I need to buy an amp to power the speakers? Hello All, I'm fairly new to the home entertainment system so I am looking for some advice on what is the best product to get that will suit my needs. I am hoping to install some (not yet looked into) internal ceiling speakers throughout my home, bathroom bedrooms living rooms etc. I am hoping there is something available that can connect either (wired or wireless) to all devices (phones, tablets and also TV) so I can play music in separate rooms, but also so I can play the audio of my TV through the ceiling speakers. I am hoping this is then controllable via an app so for instance, I can turn down the volume to my sons room when he plays XBOX! Does anyone know of a system that can achieve this? Any help on what is needed will be great!!

New to Sonos with a Connect:Amp running a couple of ceiling speakers quite nicely. My question concerns a vintage stereo system with very nice JBL Control Monitor speakers and a partially dead NAD 7020 integrated receiver. Is it better to repair/replace the receiver and add a Connect - no amp thereby being able to connect turntable etc. and still use the JBLs ... or junk the receiver and add the Connect:Amp. Looks like for the $150 cost difference in the Connect vs. Connect:Amp, I'm better to keep/fix or replace the receiver. Seems a break even proposition. Will the Connect:Amp be equal to the NAD is powering the JBLs? Am I missing something?

This is for anyone who is planning on buying a Connect! I hope to also cover concerns that you have that I also had before I bought one! I am posting this on Sonos's official website because I have LOTS of good to say about my experience! Why would I post something negative about Sonos here? (this doesn't mean I am biased ;p) TL;DR: It's gr8 and I now use them as my desktop speakers. My Sonos is now WAY more versatile than normal speakers and input delay isn't an issue even though it working through your WiFi. What made me buy a Sonos Connect? Was there any input delay? Was the delay significant in gaming and other applications? Was it easy to setup? I'll answer all of these! First off, I chose to buy a Connect due to the lack of inputs available for my two Sonos Play 1's. I loved the build quality and sound these speakers produced, and found the only way to get a line in was to buy a Sonos Connect. Even though the whole setup cost me almost £600, it was worth it! Hello, I'm building a new home and trying to plan out a whole home audio system based around Sonos, Amazon Echo Dot, Connect Amps, and external speakers. My main goals are to 1) have access to Sonos in most rooms of house, 2) Use Echo Dot, Connect Amp and ceiling speakers to voice control music in kitchen and master bathroom, 3) have 5.1 surround sound using playbar, subwoofer, and ceiling speakers. I would like to lay out my plans and hoping you all can tell me if it will work, how i could improve it, and if i'm missing anything. I have a pretty nice wired receiver but I need to move to a wireless setup. I'm thinking of buying the Sonos Connect to attach to that receiver/amplifier, but I'm wondering what the point of even holding on to that amplifier/receiver is, considering that Sonos speakers are each independently powered. My understanding is that the receiver would continue to feed the Sonos Connect multiple sources like a record player, optical TV audio, etc. However, the Sonos Connect would not control the wired speakers attached to the receiver, and the receiver's amplifier would basically be a brick. If my understanding is correct, wouldn't I be better off selling my receiver/amplifier and using lining in audio to the Sonos Connect so it can send the music signal to each independently powered speaker? Not quite understanding the role of a receiver/amplifier when all speakers are independently powered.
