Advice on Installing a SUB in a cabinet

Any advice on installing a SUB in an entertainment unit? Had a suggestion that the bottom could be cut out to let the SUB sit on the floor. Another was to lay the SUB flat with the floor of the unit cut out larger than the speaker section.

Though the SUB looks great we are looking to hide all the equipment in a unit. Any thoughts appreciated?

    There may be better ways of hiding it - I don't know that inside a unit won't cause both its effect to be affected and also cause audible rattling around with anything that is loose inside the unit. If you are using it for movie effects, it can be placed in many places out of sight - close to a corner? Under/behind a couch or a chair?
