Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

ordered a playbase from sonos last week. got an email on the 7th to say it had shipped. No sign of it by the 11th, checked with the courier (DHL) who said they hadn't received it from the supplier yet. contacted sonos, who said it must be a problem at the courier end, they well check and get back to me. heard nothing back by today (12th), so rung them again. This time they tell me they are struggling with demand, mine has not been shipped, and they have no idea when it will be shipped. I asked them why they had emailed me 5 days ago saying it had been shipped, they say that just means it has completed a certain stage at the warehouse, not that it has actually been shipped! I asked to cancel my order, and was told this is not possible as it has "technically" shipped. Not a happy bunny to put it mildly.
I have two Play:1 speakers connected to my iPad. My iPad asked me to update my system so I have, however now only 1 speaker works? When I plug in the speaker that doesn't work on it's own I get a message that says "The software on this device is outdated. To keep the music playing, update the operating system or use a different device from Sonos". But gives me no option to update? I think one speaker updated but the other didn't. Both speakers are identical, bought at the same time. Is someone able to help? Thanks!
I have created many playlists in the music library. But I cannot change song order within a playlist. When I click a song and try to move it, it just moves back. Any ideas?

Hope you are safe, Sonos employees!
Can someone recommend a Disco Ball light under $20? We want to make a little party recently and have no idea, So which is better to choose?
to listen to xm radio on sonos playbar does the xm radio have to be plugged into the playbar?
I noticed that Vodafone are currently offering free gifts when you sign up to their home broadband. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/broadband/index.htm As I rarely use my Virgin Tivo box anymore due to the availabilty of programmes on BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub etc and by switching to Freeview for live terrestial TV viewing I can quite happily do without it. So I've decided to take the plunge and signed up for Vodafone 76mb unlimited broadband, I've heard mixed reviews about their service, but to be honest virtually all the ISP's get mixed reviews on the comparison sites. Hopefully I won't regret leaving Virgin, as to be fair their service has been excellent, but I can get slightly faster download and much faster upload speeds compared to Virgin, and will save approx £200 per year. ( The virgin retentions team really couldn't save me much money, maybe I'd have got a better deal as a new customer! ) I've still got my Virgin package, and if the Vodafone service is poor in the firs
I believe that Sonos will be introducing their own voice assistant accompanying gadget that will permit them to work with the other assistants like Alexa, Google, Cortana, Siri et. al. Saw this in the Privacy Statement Voice control works by your voice enabled Sonos Product “listening” for a specific wake word. Please note that not all Sonos Products are voice enabled. ...and this... Sonos does not retain a copy of your voice recording. Concurrent with the voice recording, your Product will collect data (for example, decibel level at each frequency) about the ambient noise in the room. It is not possible to extract any speech from this type of data. We collect this data to help us improve our speech recognition technology. For example, if you are trying to state a voice command while music is playing, Sonos may improve the technology by lowering the music so that your voice command can be properly understood. Its not about integrating Alexa with the Echo .. something more!
Can't see any way to do it.
I'm getting things that I read 2 days ago suddenly show up as "unread" threads. This wasn't the case an hour ago, when I'd cleared the whole forum, but just started around 8PM Pacific time.
Hello everybody! I just got myself my second play 5 and I'm really loving the sound besides the music. I was wondering if any of you can recommend albums or songs on any style of music that really stand out on recording and sound. Thanks!
In the new Dutch and French communities the systems keeps logging me out. Every time I enter the forum I have to log in. A forum problem?
My nonprofit agency just lost over $4000.00 worth of Sonos equipment in emergency flash flooding about 3 weeks ago. Quite frankly, this has forced into a state of devatation, in more ways than one, and because my clients are almost all hearing impaired, this "Sonos loss" creates an emergency communication problem. So hopefully a member of management or a Sonos expert will read this and guide me promptly in the right direction, as i would be most appreciative. I am willing to email me legal IRS papers to a regular email to prove my legitimacy and discuss this much more in detail. Thank you. Erik, CEO, Design 55 Group

A very good day to all of you! My name is Seline van Dijk and I'm an intern at Insided, the company behind this here community platform. My assignment is to research and design better user engagement, which basically entails giving advice on and design functions or design changes that will get the users more engaged! But one can't design for users without getting the opinion of users, don't you think? Which is why I'm here! I would like to request your participation in a survey I made, found at the link below: https://goo.gl/forms/XKvx0SE7ETb4xDoy1 It will take you a maximum of 10 minutes to fill out if you really take your time to think, but if you're a fast thinker it won't take you much more than 3 minutes. Your answers will contribute to the research and design decisions, and if your ideas are particularly good you may see them return on Insided communities sometime in the future! Many thanks to any of you who have read this far, and even more thanks if you de
This is a question for the Sonos owners and designers. Excellent concept, the products are splendid, but why are there no options for Sonos wireless headphones? There must be millions of customers waiting for this product. Listeners who want to be mobile around the house, office or workshop without having all the speakers on in all the rooms. Listeners in a quiet space, or in bed. The hard of hearing - sometimes we need the telly on louder than the everyone else or do not want to annoy the neighbours. Come on Sonos, what's the holdup :D Please let us all know if we can look forward to wireless Sonos Headphones. Kindest regards, Kevin.
Just read this article about the new UE speaker, I've listened to a couple of the UE speakers in shops and thought they sounded pretty good, and having a portable Alexa enabled portable speaker that sounds good is obviously fantastic, but as the article points out, it's pretty expensive for what is still a portable speaker. It certainly shows how Amazon are dominating the Voice control speaker market, by partnering with established Audio product companies and allowing them to add their Alexa functionality. They'll soon be Alexa enabled speakers to suit all requirements and budgets. https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/10/19/16499038/ultimate-ears-blast-megablast-alexa-bluetooth-speakers
Hello everyone... My name is Alan Graham and I'm a writer/Sonos enthusiast. I've started a blog over at http://worldofsonos.com so that I could get a Sonos user community going. I hope to see the site develop into a place where not only I, but many of you can share everything Sonos...from great ideas, problems solved, and even profiles of other solutions. So bookmark the site. Big news coming tomorrow...btw. Alan

Hi, im from chicago. I have many customers asking me about sonos. how I can become a sonos dealer and start selling this product to mu customers ?
I am wondering how can I change my username, I’ve went through “my profile” and there is no option for username change.
There are rumours of an Amazon Echo 2 being released soon, It'll be a very interesting time with all of these new 'Smart Speakers' being launched. The Apple Homepod, the new Sonos speaker with built-in voice mics and the Echo 2 will all be competing to become the speaker of choice for those customers looking for a great sounding smart speaker. Pricing will be critical, as although there are millions of people who are prepared to pay a premium for Apple products, mainly to keep everything within the Apple ecosystem, I'd imagine Amazon will have to undercut them significantly and Sonos will probably be somewhere in the middle if they release a new Play 1 style speaker with built-in mics. The only issue that Sonos have is that they don't have their own voice control system, but will rely on Alexa, and Alexa already has a huge userbase, helped by Amazon using their affordable Echo dots as a trojan horse and 'converting' them to Alexa users before either Apple or Sonos have their o
Lately I've noticed more problems with Sonos. Maybe this isn't all on them, but if the problem comes from equipment that I bought from them then they own it, whether they like it or not. We've had our system I guess about 2 years now. When I first got the system I felt like the company had personality, there were people there -- not just bots. They didn't feel like just another tech company with products that aren't made to last. They didn't feel like they were only going to be around until someone up the food chain buys them. I felt good about our investment. Today, not so much. Sonos feels like a tech company I've put way too much faith in, that I'm now way too dependent on. I think they know that. Tech support is average at best. Today I was on hold for 20 minutes, then got dropped. I didn't bother calling back. I submitted a case, hopefully I'll get a reply. The fact that I'm writing this bothers me. I've been in tech since 1989 and I hate what's happened to the bu
