Moderator edit:Google Translate-I have owned my SONOS One device for years. Since the sound coming from a smart TV is not that optimal, I wondered whether I can connect both devices so that I get a much better sound from the TV compared to now.
Hello, I recently moved my router (had to unplug and plug back in) and since then my 2 Era 100’s have not been able to connect to wifi anymore. I have done factory reset, unplugged and plugged them back in. Uninstalled the Sonos app and reinstalled it. Reset my router. nothing seems to work.
I just received a diagnostic code and this board suggested I post it to see if that might speed up help..Code: *************New router and can’t get the sonos on my phone to even start to look for system, much less allow me to input new network name. Moderator edit: recorded and removed diagnostic number (identifying info)
I have the following:1 Beam, 1 Sub, 2 One SL’s and 2 Play 1’s. I just bought the SL’s to replace my Play’s, which were my surrounds for my Beam and Sub. The beam, sub and SL’s (surround) all connect an work fine. I wanted to put the old Play 1’s in two separate rooms. The old Play 1’s will connect briefly but soon drop off and become unavailable. I have factory rest them, used the find missing devices, called tech support (who did call back) the errors I get range from error 1001 (when trying to play a song when initially connected) then it disconnects, to error 800 when trying to add the device back into the system, to unregistered device and unable to connect to Sonos. Which is not true because all four other devices are working fine. I worked with Tech support and they confirmed it was finding the network but then disconnecting from the system. One of the Play 1’s is 5 ft. from the wireless router. I have tested my signal strength and all is good with great coverage. Asus ro

Since most recent app update I can no longer access TV volume control for surround speakers (Ones) just music. How can I regain ability to control surround volume from app? TV volume slide control disappeared.
i want to use Era 100 in Ceiling. Can you please advice if Gineos Bracket is compatible with Era 100 or not. if not then what can be the possible solution to put them in ceiling.
Why from time to time som of the speakers stop playing?
The latest SONOS updates removed my local music library and now I get Error code 913 when I attempt to add it back. The worst thing thing is that I am trying to update my music library using exactly the same C: drive location that was working just a month before. **** SONOS Support ****I love the SONOS hardware that you build. I find the sounds quality excellent. I also feel I’ve paid a premium for the SONOS devices that I have purchased over the years. What makes me want to consider selling all of my SONOS devices is...your software updates. More often than not, the SONOS software updates seem to break existing functionality. I really struggle to understand why the SONOS team continues to release software updates that break existing functionality. Do you not understand what Q&A Testing means?? I now have to wait until June to get this functionality, that I’ve always had, back. This issue was caused by a mistake by the SONOS team. What’s the SONOS teams plan on compensating exi
I’m having an issue adding my play 5 to my system without the Ethernet. Also I want to add it as a sub but unable to.
Hi,I already own a Sonos One, which I mostly play in the living room.I was considering to buy another Sonos speaker for another room (terrace) and I was hesitant as to whether I should choose another Sonos One or a more recent Sonos Era 100.The key new feature of the Sonos Era 100 for me is the ability to connect via Bluetooth, feature which was truly lacking with the Sonos One.Ideally, I would buy a Sonos Era 100, connect to it via bluetooth, and play on all the house speakers (including the older non-bluetooth Sonos One) in a properly synchronised multiroom way. Are the speakers compatible enough, i.e.: is that supported?Note that I would not need them to play as a stereo pair, as they will always be located in different rooms. If ever I wanted to benefit from single room stereo, I would then buy a second Sonos Era 100 to play both in stereo, together with the Sonos One in mono mode in a different room (would that work?).Thanks for your support,en8jd
I was scammed and lost my pair of Sonos ONE speakers today. I still see it in my account and have the serial#. Obviously I cant get it back. But can it be disabled or something to make it unusable?
Will Sonos refund me & take this crap back? It is hot garbage.
I have had Sonos systems in multiple homes for maybe ten years or so. I have all in maybe ten speakers between two homes, most of which were purchased at least five years ago. once again yesterday evening as I had hoped to relax to music, I found myself dealing with intermittent sound and speakers which stopped playing and then skipping ahead to other songs on playlist/album. My issue is that the things just don’t work when you want them to. Sort of like the old phone company, I just want it to work without it asking me to invest time and knowledge in either understanding why it won’t work, and then having to fix it myself. I do not care about the various aspects of the technology, I do like the idea of having music in each room and having it controlled from my phone, but I don’t want to be a tech guy and have to diagnose and fix it. I’m thinking I might just go back to having a Bluetooth speaker in each area and just chucking out this Sonos stuff.
I bought this Play1 in 2016 or so, to my recollection, and it always worked flawlessly. This was, naturally, with 2016 wifi technology, and a 2016 mobile device. It provided great party entertainment.Flash forward to today, not many parties post-COVID, but I wanted to get reconnected with my Sonos. Of course, it won’t connect! Prowling around on the internet, this community, and a 2 hour chat with customer service, and no leads to get this rectified. Last statement from the rep was, “Sonos is working on this issue with no ETA for resolution.” Something tells me they won’t be reaching out to me when a solution is reached. If you are still reading, accept my apologies for boring you. Enjoy your day.
Over the last 20 days (after the app update), my Sonos Era 100 no longer shows up on the app… no big deal because I never used the app… but worse is Alexa no longer works on the Era 100. I’ve rebooted it, factory reset, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, restarted my WiFi, updated my access points’ firmware, unplugged the Era 100 for 15 seconds and plugged it back in. I feel like I’ve done everything and cannot get my Era 100 to work. Basically my expensive Era 100 is just a basic Bluetooth speaker.
I have 4 Play:1 speakers that repeatedly disappear from S2 app after they aren’t used for a while (>12 hours). If I unplug them from power and re-plug again, they appear and work perfectly. This only started happening after the recent upgrade of the Sonos app.
Hey!the device stops playing music. Sometimes playing with one speaker, sometimes changing songs. what can I do?
I cannot get any volume
Are you getting a problem connecting to the Music folder on your Window PC so unable to stream the music you have stored? Especially if you have placed your Music folder on your D drive (so you don’t fill up you smaller SSD C drive) Open Windows Explorer and you should see the music folder. Right click on the Music folder icon and select Properties. Select the Location tab and you should see where Windows thinks your music is stored. If it is incorrect select Find Target and find where you have stored your Music folder. Select the location and click on apply. The Sonos app should then be able to read your Music library. If only the Sonos support team said to try this activity first it would have saved a whole lot of pain.
