Hi. I’ve just been trying to stream some music through my Play 1 (based in my kitchen) whilst working but it doesn’t show up in my app and the music just plays through my Arc (located in my living room).

I’ve rebooted the Play 1 several times now without success. It always goes through the setup fine and as far as saying the installation is complete and I can refine the settings, but it just doesn’t show up in my system - just the Arc in the living room. I’ve tried changing the room name (kitchen, dining room and even a custom room name) but no luck.

I’ve also tried taking the Play 1 through to the living room to try setting up there in case that would make a difference, being closer to the WiFi router but no difference. I’ve had the Play for a few years and it’s always been in the same place in the kitchen without any issues. 
 

Any ideas how to resolve this?

For now can you connect the Arc to your router with a Ethernet cable? The Arc will emit a WIFI signal of its own that the one can connect to. You may need to reset the one again and set it up one more time if it doesn’t show up automatically.

You can also try resetting the app and reconnecting to your system again to see if that works.
