Hi! I have a new SONOS MOVE and registered to my account and system... However I would like to give it to a friend and therefore I would like to completely remove and deregister it from my system and account... Just wonder if any expert here can advise me how to do it? Thanks in advance!

If using TP-Link to provide an adequate wifi signal in the room where Sonos speakers are situated, should it be set to the same wireless channel as the router or a different channel (SSID and password are the same)? If a different channel, will the speakers automatically pick up the TP-Link in preference to the router as the stronger of the two signals on this wireless network?

As an owner of two Play 3's should I be worried Sonos software will not support them in the near future. I see everybody is replacing the 3's for 1's or One's. I absolutely love the sound they produce and I think it would be a step back if I replace them with the smaller speaker. What do you think? Neven

Hi Sonos, Move seems like an amazing product. One thing though, I buy my stuff to last forever. It is a must. Thing that do not have a user replaceable battery, or at least a replaceable battery common enough to be easily and cheaply procured, is limited to the lifespan of the battery. And all Lithium based rechargeable batteries have a limited number of cycles AND a limited shelf-life (use them or not). What is your approach to this? Is the Move battery serviceable? Will you stock spare batteries, and for how long? Thanks!

My play5 gen2 stopped connecting to the WiFi in the house recently. I contacted Sonos and sent them 2 diagnostics. Very quickly got a response from Sonos for a return and replacement of the Play5. 2 weeks later, just set up my new speaker today and very happy with the level of service (Play5 was purchased in feb17). I wonder why the WiFi cards seem to be failing on these units given that they were released on sep15? Are there any stats on failure rates of Sonos devices? Never had any problems with my play1’s, playbar or sub.

Hey guys, I have a lot of Sonos speakers including a 5.1 system with a Playbar. I also use an Orbi system for my wifi. I am using Sonosnet with the playbar using cat 6 cabling to my router. I was having a lot of issues with the rear speakers in the 5.1 system dropping out whenever I am also using wifi internet while watching 5.1 content. I put it down to likely interference in the wireless backhaul of the Orbi. Due to the placement of the rear speakers I could not wire them directly to the router but have instead placed the wireless orbi satellite near them and plugged them in via ethernet to the orbi satellite and switched off the wifi radios on both the rear speakers. The system now appears to be working flawlessly with no more dropouts on the rear speakers and best of all I can stream on my computer while watching TV at the same time with no issues. Is there anything inherently wrong with how I've set this up now and any issues I might come across with this setup? Really as far

Well, I am so interesting in a 5.1 speakers to cinema, music and streaming. I love Sonos sound, but trust me, only Toslink/optical in playbar/base currently is difficult to understand. Oh yes! “Sonos is intended to streaming”, but well, most streaming services stream in DD+, and again, this format is not supported by Sonos as HDMI is also needed. WHY DOES NOT SONOS UPGRADE PLAYBAR/BASE TO HDMI AND DD+ SUPPORT? 2,000€ for an outdated 5.1 Sonos setup?? Harman/Kardon Citation series is similar in price and has much better conectivity even sound. For that price, in addition to Harman, Senheisser Ambeo Soundbar or Klipsch Reference Wireless are difficult to beat. But well, Sonos does not upgrade to HDMI & DD+ its flagship Playbar/base. I really do not understand why Sonos is not moving forward. ANY CONVINCING EXPLANATION SONOS? PS: I know beam has hdmi but neither support DD+, and it is not suitable for large rooms.

Hi all. Very interested in the move but I use BT whole home WiFi mesh system (3 disks) and I had issues in the past with sonos so I bought a bridge connected to my router and things have been fine since. If I leave my system as is and add a move (which doesn't work with sonos net) will things work ok?

I'm seriously considering the Sonos Move. I will mostly move it around indoors using only WiFi. I already have some stationary Sonos speakers (Play:1) around the house. What will happen if I bring the Move in to a room with another Sonos speaker (assuming both speakers are playing the same song)? Will Automatic Trueplay adjust the sound output from the Move to give a good overall listening experience in that room (including the output from the other Sonos speaker)?

Hi guys I currently have a dedicated SONOS bridge plugged into my router in order to utilise SONOSNET rather than my own Wi-Fi. In the same room i also have a Play:5 but it is not within reach of the router for me to run an Ethernet cable. It would be handy to get rid of the bridge if possible (less boxes, power sockets used etc). I already have a couple of Devolo Ethernet 500Mbps powerlines and could use these in order to connect the Play:5 into the router as use this as the bridge for SONOSNET. Does anybody have any issues using powerlines with SONOS kit? I have seen a thread where SONOS don't recommend it. I appreciate that i could just drop all the speakers on my Wi-Fi but i have found SONOSNET to be very reliable and would rather maintain this setup if possible. If the powerlines are not recommended or cause issues then i can maintain the existing bridge but just wondered. I may just try it anyway and see if i have any issues but wanted some opinions or experience first. Thank

With the forthcoming deletion of the ability to play music on Sonos directly from iPhones/Pads, Airplay 2 is widely being seen as a solution. Before investing to bring in that ability via new Sonos hardware as opposed to the more straightforward route of adding a NAS, some questions perhaps need to be answered; questions that arise from not so good experiences with Airplay as it existed before Airplay 2 was released. Is music play via Airplay 2 to a target Sonos speaker as stable as it is via the "On this Phone" route it is seen to replace ? Is such music play to a group of speakers also just as stable? Is music play in both modes above as stable as it is via Sonos net? Can two phones on the same WiFi network simultaneously stream music each contains via Airplay 2 to unique Sonos speakers in two different rooms? Can the phones be used as such when music is being streamed from them? Either via the existing feature or via Airplay 2? These are questions that come to my mind, perha

Bluetooth is ok-ish, but the real question - is it going to stream from all my accounts if I take it somewhere and connect to hotspot or non-home WiFi?

Others have asked how to turn off a SONOS speaker (I have 5 Play1 + a connect). The responses were all assuming the REASON to want to turn off the speakers was power use. There are other reasons to want to do so. This morning, SONOS just would not cooperate / connect to anything. Rebooting the WIFI router (SONOS pop-up suggesting the fix) is a heavy handed approach effecting everything in the house. At one point I had music playing and unresponsive SONOS controller on both desktop and Android. The fix was to shut all the speakers off and let them reconnect. My approach has been to use a power strip for combos of speakers .. but I have one speaker in my office that is plugged in behind a big desk. Would be great to have a POWER SWITCH! Reboots do wonders to fix many problems.

Ya know how we have the option for full stereo or ambient when listening to music in a full 5.1 sonos stet-up?  Can we get that with TV output as well, please?  There is still plenty of content that is stereo output on many internet streams and traditional media.  Having full stereo helps create an enveloping sound field when outputted via the playbar and the surrounds.

If I'd bought a 4 wheel drive car but years later was told that it was only going to be 2 wheel drive after a software upgrade, I would be pretty p'd off by that and would expect some compensation having been mis-sold a product. However I'm now seeing nagging pop-ups on my Sonos App telling me I will no longer be able to play content from my iPhone after a forthcoming upgrade? 1) In my view that is not an upgrade, 2) It is removing one of the fundamental reasons I invested in Sonos products and 3) I feel I'm going to lose faith in the system if it's a pain to recover from a feature I've had since day 1 ownership. Is this due to pressure from Apple or other manufacturer, have Sonos been providing this feature illegally? Are Airplay 2 compatible Sonos speakers the only solution or should I just not upgrade to the latest Sonos App?

I recently moved into a house with an 11 room Sonos set up. The old owners left all the equipment except for 1 room, the living room, which would be the 12th room in the set up. In that room, there are two Connect:Amps. One is for the speakers outside by the pool, the other is for that living room. However, there are no more Sonos speakers in that room. So my question is, could I set up an older Pioneer system to that Connect:Amp without having to spend upwards of 1,000 bucks to properly outfit the room?

I bought a new SONOS Play 1 Gen 2 and 2 Ikea Symfonisk Table Lamps. I thought that if I kept them in the same room they could connect. However, even though they are both in the same physical room, SONOS has put the lamps into another room through the App. Can they not integrate to form a larger system, if not why not? Amy help would be appreciated.
