Hi Sonos,
Move seems like an amazing product. One thing though, I buy my stuff to last forever. It is a must.
Thing that do not have a user replaceable battery, or at least a replaceable battery common enough to be easily and cheaply procured, is limited to the lifespan of the battery. And all Lithium based rechargeable batteries have a limited number of cycles AND a limited shelf-life (use them or not).
What is your approach to this? Is the Move battery serviceable? Will you stock spare batteries, and for how long?
Thanks!

Exactly. The original battery will last around 3 years or 900 charges, depending on several factors. When it's not charging anymore, the battery can be replaced in your home, and we'll have battery replacements available.

Thanks Ryan! Looking forward to getting my hands on the product. when would you expect the replacement battery to be available for purchase?

There isn't an announced release date for it yet, but it'll be available long before needed. While it can be replaced at home, it's not quite so easy that you'll want to bring a second with you for longer trips.
I would guess no one will need one till at least 6 months from now. That would be over 3 charges a day.
And given that you can stil connect a USB-C power brick externally, it may be longer.
If you do not take it off of the charging base that day, does that also qualify as a “charge”?
