Hey Does anyone have any experience with leaving their Move permanently outside, and charged? I’d like to mount it to the back of my house. The space isn’t huge so that’s why the Move is perfect compared to the Outdoor Speakers
Hi. I recently installed a Beam. It works (worked) fine. Last night my daughter got the Beam and my Bridge to group and I had sound from my speakers and the Beam. I turned it on tonight and initially had no sound from the Bridge/speakers. I grouped and got sound from them and lost Beam sound. Catastrophe ensued. I pressed lots of buttons here and there, reinstalled the Sonos app, unplugged and replugged in stuff. Question is... Should I expect to be able to group the Beam and the old Bridge or was it a fluke that my daughter did it? Many thanks for any insight.
Over the past few weeks my Sonos system has gone from a reliable and highly valued medium of listening to music to podcasts to now an unstable system that has a new issue everyday. I’m not sure if this is due to a recent app update or update in the system itself but every day I am grappling with a new challenge. The past 2 weeks, most days are filled with an unwelcome banner at the top saying cannot connect to Sonos- Fix It. None of the troubleshooting steps offered work at all. I have not changed a single thing in my enviornment (same router, same ISP, no manipulation or additional IP addresses on the network, no new speakers, etc.). The only fix is to literally unplug every speaker and then go into settings and click add a device as if I just purchased another speaker. The past 3 days, I’m now running into an issue where I cannot play a song from either Apple Music or Spotify, then out of nowehere, a song will start playing a few minutes later. When I go into the sonos app t
With the release of 24bitrate streams becoming available on mass via Amazon music Ultra HD and Spotify and the rest to no doubt follow, is sonos planning to make versions of the speakers that actually support the streaming of high res audio? (Similar to Sony). I think they will be shooting themselves in the foot a bit if they don’t. Along with the news of hardware being considered legacy, There is no way I will be replacing my speakers with more sonos if there is no support for UHD going forward for when my speakers inevitably be classified as “legacy” (probably about 3-4 years from now with the play one and five). TL:DR - Is Sonos going to make speakers that support high resolution audio streams in the near future (next couple of years). Thanks All
On my Mac, two Sonos speakers are listed as output options with AirPlay. That is a Sonos One and a Play:5 (first generation). I know that Sonos One also supports AirPlay 2, but I couldn’t find any information about AirPlay (NOT AirPlay 2) compatibility. Which Sonos devices support AirPlay? I would have expected that Play:3 and Play:1 to also support AirPlay if Play:5 (Gen 1) does.
Bought Sonos move yesterday - extremely disappointed it does not support Bluetooh calling - please bring the feature I wouldnt have bought it if I knew this feature - as I need a speaker for music as well as my home office
Hello Everyone, I Got a Sonos playbar and one of its speaker stop working, anyone know where to buy a replacement speaker. Thanks in advance :)
Hi, does anyone have a Sonos system with an eero router? I have a single eero router (not a mesh setup) and I’m experiencing a lot of issues with my Sonos system since I migrated my network to eero. I followed all the elementary steps in the Sonos app to reconnect the missing speaker. But what happens is that I’ll be able to only see the one wired in and not the wireless. connections is intermittent and speakers that are reconnected would go missing again. Sonos support mentioned that the eero is broadcasting two IP addresses? I know it has a single SSID with two separate bands 2.4 and 5. I know the forums are laced with issues with eero and Sonos but most of their setup is with the mesh system. Mine is not. Hardwiring the Sonos system is not feasible at this time. is this an issue with eero specifically? If so, I’ll return it.
My Play:5 died 2.5 years in, due to a hardware failure as diagnosed by the Sonos team. I spent $500 on that speaker and the Sonos response was to offer me a "discounted" $350 replacement speaker ($850 for one speaker in 2.5 years). Instead of making it right and replacing the speaker, keeping me in the ecosystem, allowing me to continue to build my speaker set (I had full intentions of buying 3 additional speakers in the near future), and continuing to buy speakers as presents for family and friends, I now will spend a significant amount of effort relaying my story to my friends and family. Please believe me when I say that I will make sure that I discourage any contact of mine from buying into the Sonos ecosystem or purchasing a new product, and I hope this reaches anyone here as well. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed and frustrated I am with the non-resolution to this issue. I tried really hard to walk the reps through the reality of the situation and the company respons
6 days ago I recycled my Play 5 with Richer Sounds on the back of the Sonos "bricking" of legacy products and used the 30% discount for a new Play5 . I recycled my old Play 5 with the store and have now found out they will no longer be bricking said products but I have now recycled/lost my perfectly good speaker but they ate still offering the 30% discount. What are my rights here? Being a loyal customer I have now lost out!
I have multiple Sonos Play:1’s, I didn’t actually track which ones I bought when, but I noticed recently that all of them except one. Most, when turned upside down have a copyright date on the white space that also has the MAC address and barcode. One of them however, doesn’t have this date and the writing on the bottom is a different size than the other ones. Is this one the newest of the bunch, or the oldest?
my sonos move just has a flashing blue light. Nothing I do will shut it off or re set the speaker. It was working great. Now it is a brick...
Hello I would like to know whether it is possible to connect a Freebox mini 4K to one (or possibly two) Sonos One wireless? I would like the sound of my TV programs (that are managed by the Freebox player, which itself is connected to my TV with an HDMI cable) to be played by the Sonos One speakers. Can it be done? Does it require any specific additional device? Thanks a lot for your help. SonosNovice
I have 2 Sonos speakers on my Google mesh network consisting of 2 routers. Due to the location of each speaker, each should connect to a separate router - bedroom - > secondary, hall - > primary. However, in reality, both speakers are connected to the primary router. Is this something to do with Sonos' 'internal' wifi? It doesn't affect the network, just curious why this is so. All other devices connect to the secondary router when in the same location as the bedroom speaker.
I just linked Emby with Alexa. Unfortunately Emby only knows the Sonos speakers by their IP addresses, not their names. I can see the IP addresses assigned to Sonos devices in my router, but I’m unable to associate them with the room, e.g., sun room, living room, etc. How can I see the IP address of the Sonos speakers and associate them with the room?
Hi, I am wondering if I can play Bose Airplay 2 enabled speakers with Sonos Beam in multi room play settings. I have Sonos Beam and Bose Speakers with AirPlay 2 capability in other rooms. Thank you Harp
Hi, what if the battery of Sonos Move runs out forever and I keep the Sonos Move steady on its charge base? Will it continue to work because of the eletricity provided by usb plugged base? Hi Guys! Just 2 quick questions as mentioned in the title. As I found out if I use 2 Sonos One as Rear with my Playbar and Sub I will be able to use Alexa from the Ones. Only Airplay will be disabled. Is that correct? Can I pair the latest Sonos One with a One SL as my Rear Speakers with a Playbar and Sub? And if yes will it still be able to use Alexa from the single Sonos One? Thanks in advance Regards Michael
I have just ordered a Sonos Move and wish to use it possibly as a party speaker and was wondering how loud it can actually get-would it be able to be loud enough to hear the music over people shouting and conversing at the same time?
I’ve just bought a Sonos Move for myself and two Sonos Ones for my parents. After hearing how great the two Sonos Ones sound paired together I’m seriously considering ditching my Move for two Sonos Ones instead. I’d ideally like to purchase a Sonos One for myself and use it with my Move in my bedroom. From my experimentation with my parent’s Sonos One it seems as though the Move must be its own “room” and be “grouped” with the One for them to play together. My issue is that I would like to simply select a single “room” from any of my Apple devices and have the audio automatically play from both the Move and One. When toggling between apple devices and sources, I often must go back into the Sonos app and regroup the Move and One for them to play together. I’d like to be able to open my Macbook Pro, select the audio icon from the menu bar and choose a single “room” or something from the audio drop dropdown and pump audio through both the Move and One. Is that not possible? When on my M
Hello, I have a paired set of Sonos One SL’s. After 24 hours of not being in use I seem to have to unplug them to reset them in order for the app to see them. The problem is I set them up really high and hard to reach. I thought they would stay on stand by until the next use. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
Is there a way how to combine two sonos (one, symfonisk ...) to stereo pair and stream the airplay 2 on them? Is this grouping possible? As you can pair two homepods. I know that you can combine two sonos in sonos app but is this set able to accept Airplay music from iPhone and play it into two channels stereo?
How do I know what generation are my sound bar, sub, play 3s, and play 5s? Can I tell from the serial number or another product identifier?
I just got off the phone with tech support - my Sonos cube cant “connect”with the app on my phone.I haven't used the device in a month. After going through the usual antiquated prompts I was told that unless I plug in an ethernet cable from the modem/router to the Sonos cube It cannot be fixed - WHO HAS AN ETHERNET CABLE LYING AROUND in 2020? All I can say is that its Valentines Day and I have no music. Pathetic. I’m shorting SONO stock on Monday.
turning up then down brings it back. Unit is about 2 years old.
