I was trying to preorder the Arc soundbar and sub utilizing the first responder deal currently ongoing. It shows PayPal as a payment option in cart but only credit card is available when in checkout. I was trying to use PayPal to take advantage of interest free payment. Is this not an option for preorders?
I would like to occasionally use my Sonos One speaker outside adjacent to the hot tub to play music and use Alexa for turning some lights on/off etc. and wondered if there was a suitable outdoor enclosure to offer some protection against the elements? I don't want to keep it outside 24/7/365 but mainly for when the hot tub is being used so it doesn't have to be fully waterproof. It might be good to leave it in the enclosure for some days or maybe even a week at a time but for most of its life I would unplug it and take it in the house so it doesn't have to be a permanent fixture. I am based in the UK so shouldn't be subject to extremes of weather either. Any ideas of something suitable I could use please? Thanks & kind regards, -=Glyn=-
I’m currently planning to buy a pair of Sonos Play 5 2nd gen to replace my current Play 5s gen 1. But I’m concerned that there will be a new Sonos Play 5 3rd gen or Sonos Five. My guess is that the Sonos Five would be release next year because Sonos release the 1st gen in 2009 and 2nd gen in 2015, that would be 6 years apart. So from 6 years form 2015 would be around 2021. I’m just worried that the Play 5 2nd gen would only support for 5 years. Any thoughts would be appreciated
Am I right in understanding it that the Trade Up Policy has changed so that you can keep using your ‘unsupported’ speakers for as long as you want post ‘trading up’?
Has the Play:5 been discontinued? Or just unavailable due to virus related economic disruptions?
Hi All, I have just purchased a new sub and paired it with my beam. Sound is fantastic! However, the sub has a subtle burning electical smell… It is not overpowering and there is no smoke or heat, but it is still noticable after a few days of use. Is this anyone else's expereince? If the smell persists, I may need to take it back for a replacement. Cheers.
Hi Like everyone else I am spending more time at home. Currently I have two play one speakers in the kitchen in stereo. I am pleased! However - the kitchen is next to the garden and I am contemplating getting a Sonos move. It makes sense to have the move in the kitchen next to the garden. While the stereo separation is pleasant my main ‘want’ is room filling sound for the kitchen. I’ll move the Ones to my office and the play 5 to my bedroom. And then have one move in the kitchen. So - how good and how much oomph will I get out of one move vs two play one speakers? Or I could just get another play 5 and ‘crank it’ it in the kitchen if I want to listen outside. Thank you!
When my perfectly fine Play 5 gets bricked, will it still function as a "dumb" speaker?
Does anybody know when the Play 5 will be back in stock and if Covid 19 has impacted production and the supply chain?
Hi there, I would like to know if Sonos move gives a mono sound or a stereo sound on its own? Tanks
I am getting a “network problem” error message when I try to do a Trueplay tune on any of the Sonos devices on my system. I’ve submitted a diagnostic - the number is: 961276926 Here is the error messge: Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.
I am a happy Sonos user and am just curious why the sudden “large price increase across the Sonos line? The Play 5 gen 2 has gone up 50%,as an example…...This in an economy where unemployment is at an almost all time high. I can understand Sonos increasing prices, but at this time and such a large jump in cost to the consumer makes me wonder what is going on? Hmm? Is Sonos counting on the new high resolution App to justify this price jump? Normally,I’d have no issue with a well deserved/reasonable price jump,as companies require profits to justify improvements in products(Sonos is great at that)…..but….”at this time” and with such a huge increase, across the board,I am thinking marketing suicide or that High Res App is something special. Just thinking out loud.
This trade up program is bad. I have 3 Play 5s and all will be obsolete. Thanks SonoS. i expect better.
Hi guys, wondering if anyone else has experienced this: My Move’s red battery light is flashing. The unit is playing music without issues and the battery level is shown at 89% on the App. The unit is on WiFi. What could this mean? The FAQs mention faulty condition, but how come the unit is running normally. Diagnostic sent: 158561526
Hi - I recently purchased a SONOS One SL to use as a computer monitor. The problem is that my iMac (2019 model, macOS Catalina 10.15.4) keeps reverting to the internal speaker and I have to reacquire the SONOS. It is annoying. Has anyone found a way to permanently keep the SONOS speaker connected? I have tried setting it to the SONOS in Settings, and it keeps changing back when there is no sound. I asked support, and they told me that it is the operating system, which they did not write, which I pretty much knew already.
Today my Play:3 died with the unpleasant smell of crispy electronics. Since it’s well out of warranty, I thought I’d have a look and found that the PSU had suffered the fate of many-a Play:3 with an exploding capacitor. Looks like mine has destroyed the tracks around about it and given Sonos have done nothing despite knowing about a large number of identical failures, and the latest dropping of “old” kit, I’ll be getting rid of all my Sonos gear and replacing it with reliable kit from someone else. Extremely disappointed. Anyone got any recommendations for who to look at? Preferably a company that cares about its install base of course.
Just bought a pair of Sonos One. In both of them, the power cable is not sitting flush. I used the cable from my old Sonos 1 and that sat properly. So it is something with both the cables that came with the new set. This is bad quality control. Thinking of returning them both.
Hello, on my first account I have a Sonos One and a Play:1. On my second account I have nothing. How do I remove the Sonos One from the first account and transfer it to the second one. I’m mostly having troubles with removing the speaker from the first account . Thanks
Anyone have any experience with utilizing sonos one speakers outside under an awning?
I have Airplayed from iTunes/Apple Music from my MacBook to my Sonos system ever since I got the system two years ago. Suddenly when I stream from what is now Apple Music (formerly iTunes), the sound is slightly muffled, and there is this playing-in-a-cave sound… kind of like bad live audio. This problem does NOT exist during TV use, nor does it show up if I stream from Apple Music on my iPhone. On top of that, I can stream, say, a YouTube video from my MacBook using Airplay, and the sound is good there as well. In other words, I’ve isolated the situation, and it’s unique to streaming to Music. Other than the muted, distant sound, if the surrounds and sub are turned off, the Beam sounds kind of crackly, and close listen sometimes finds no music coming from parts of the Beam. Either way, it’s all muted and flat sounding. Normally I could use my Beam as a stereo unto itself, just not nearly as superb as the full system. Anyhow, does anyone have any ideas on this? It’s my primary way to
Hi, I am considering purchasing a MOVE for mainly outdoor use, but I may also use it indoors. Can the MOVE run on AC power, as well as the battery? Or is the AC base only for charging? I have an AC outlet outdoors and am wondering if I can take advantage of this existing power source. Thanks. Greg
I am experiencing an audio delay of 2-3 seconds when configuring 2 of my macOS systems to send audio to the Sonos One as a system audio output device over the AirPlay protocol. My iPhone is able to send audio to the Sonos One over what also appears to be the AirPlay protocol with no lag. Repro Steps on macOS (Catalina 10.15.4 and Mojave 10.14.6): Open System Preferences. Open Sound. Select the Output tab. Click the name of the Sonos One device (where device type says AirPlay). Do one of the following: Play a video in any browser, such as from YouTube. Play a video using VLC. Play a video using QuickTime Player. In all of the above playback scenarios, it takes 2-3 seconds for the Sonos One to start playing the audio associated with the video, and that audio it plays lags behind the video by a similar number of seconds. How can I eliminate the audio delay to the Sonos One when playing from a computer?
What more can I check to determine why my subwoofer makes a rattling sound with medium to strong bass notes in music or movies? It is not something else rattling on a shelf, etc.
Now that my Connect:Amp will become legacy, can you please tell me which products will next become legacy products and when will this happen? I would like to know this, because if my stereos only had a couple of years of lifetime left, I will sell my whole system to get rid of Sonos. I’m very satisfied to your products btw, but I can’t afford to upgrade my system. Thanks!
Can somebody please help me !?!? All I want to do is stream from my iPhone 11 Max to my Sonos Play 5 1st Generation. I’ve tried via Apple Music - failed I’ve tried from the SONOS App - failed I’ve tried from Apple Homekit App - failed I’ve tried via Airplay - failed Is my Play 5 1st generation too old to do this? I’ve seen lots of articles stating that you can connect 2nd Generation Play 5s Even a cable from my iPhone into the Play 5 would be acceptable as a last resort if there is such a cable. Many thanks AJ
