Was excited to receive my Sonos Roam, but wow what a disappointment! This thing has to be within 6 inches of you and volume at 80-100% to be heard, anything below 50% volume and you might as well just put on headphones. Called customer support did the diagnostic thing, no issue found even with the phone less than 3 inches from the speaker the rep couldn’t hear it if it was below 50%. Of the 8 Sonos products I own this is the one I will be returning.
Hi Gang!I see this was a topic a year ago, but the recommendations for chargers are no longer available with Amazon. My Sonos Move charge with the my USB-C chargers I have available, which are the MacBook Air charger and iPad Pro charger. I’ve read that it needs to be at least 45W, etc., so looking for actual brands you use that work, as I can only find extensive lists of adapters that DON’T work:).Please help! Thanks,
I have a Sonos Beam and two Sonos One speakers that I have in surround sound mode. Sometimes I move the Sonos ones and put them on my back porch to stream music. I have to remove the surrounds from the Beam then pair the two Sonos ones in stereo mode. When I'm done listening I have to remove stereo mode from the ones and then reconnect into surround mode. It's really a pain to do all of this and takes quite a while. I would love if Sonos could add profiles to the Sonos app so that I could quickly switch my system configuration without going through all of the manual processes. Has any thought been giving to doing something like this?
I received my Sonos roam two days ago & I have been having numerous issues since getting it. This is my first time buying a Sonos product and I’m quite upset. My issues 1. First it wasn’t connecting to WiFi (it keeps getting stuck on the press play button to continue after it recognizes my phone). I let it go and then used bluetooth.2. Now, it’s not powering on or off. I’ve charged it for 6 hours, using multiple different types for charged and outlet. It’s still blinking orange. It’s not even turning it off. I’ve held the power button for 5-10 seconds, even a minute and nothing. It continues to blink orange. 3. It’s not getting out of this stage now. It’s just stuck blinking orange for the past day. No matter how much I charge or what buttons I press or hold. any idea?
I own a Playbase, two Sonos SL 1’s and a Move. When I remove the Move from its Charging Ring, it Powers Off and can not be turned back on unless returned to the charging ring. This occurs whether or not the Move is Grouped or Ungrouped to the Playbase in the System settings. When it is on the Charging Ring the Battery level indicates 100%. Is this a System setup issue or a problem with my Move itself?
If I connect my Roam to my mobile by bluetooth, should it be possible to group other speakers with the Roam and hear audio fed from my mobile through the Roam playing to the whole group (including the Roam)?
Help please! I have a Sonos Connect which is wired to external an soundbar using RCA. In the same room I also have a Sonos One (gen 2). When I group the 2 Sonos devices together, the audio is very noticeably out of sync. What can I do?
Is it OK to use a 65W USB C charger to charge Roam? Will this be too powerful and resulting in damage to Roam?
Hi! Is it possible to charge Sonos Roam with wireless charger which has 5V 2.0 A input and charging power is 5W? Mika
Is there a way to see the Move's battery life while in Bluetooth mode?
Having had my Roam since the release date and no issues, I now find that it will not seem to connect to wifi. It does not show up on my Sonos app, it doesn’t appear when you add new product yet it works in Bluetooth mode.If tried unplugging, rebooting, but the only thing I can get is the blue light for Bluetooth play, which does work but I obvs want it connected with the rest of my speakers on wifi.
Just got two Sonos One YesterdaySet up was fast and easyHave them paired for stereoIs there a fast way to unpair and then repair or even turn off one of themHave speakers at both sides of my living roomWould be nice to have just one work at a time sometimesBut would want them as a stereo pair most of the time
Hello everyone, I’ve been struggling with a Sonos Play 1 speaker losing connectivity. I now believe the issue is that it can’t connect to our office Wi-Fi, as it works fine when plugged into a router via ethernet. However, the speaker belongs in our reception area, which does not have its own router. How can I restore wireless connectivity? My receptionist is missing her music and I don’t want her to have to purchase a new device. Thank you!
My Move will not make a sound. None of the button sounds or any music through either source.Rest of the system works fine.Is there a solution please?
Hi was wondering how long you guys are finding standby lasts on the roam. Had mine Wednesday, was on 79% yesterday got up this morning and down to 39%. Hasn’t been used so just in standby mode. Cheers Chris
Hi. Today I bought a Roam in the hope that I could play music via Bluetooth on the Roam and play simultaneously on my Play1. But when I try to group I just get a message saying I need either compatible speakers or to have network connection. Both speakers have network connection, so does this mean I can play from the Roam to the Play1? I’ve tried grouping from the app and from the play/pause button on the Roam. Any help would be appreciated.
I can’t get the swipe feature with the Move speaker to skip songs or go to previous songs when playing from the Spotify app or Sonos S2 app. I have a paid account with Spotify. Move is up to date. Play/pause and volume buttons work fine. Is this a “when applicable” situation? Or am I overlooking a setting?
Tengo una duda se puede dañar mi sistema de sonido sonos play 3 si escucho al máximo??
I have been lurking on these forums since I pre-ordered the Roam a month or so back. In the last few weeks I have been watching the threads about battery drain closely. I, like others, am experiencing what I consider sub-par battery performance.Since the software update last week (13.1) I expected improvement, but the device appears to still wake itself up (white light on at random times) and thus drain battery.I saw a suggestion that the device was designed to constantly be sat on a QI charger when not in use. I have several Native Union QI charger’s around the house (rated: AirPods up to 5W, iPhones up to 7.5W & other Qi compatible devices up to 10W). I have been leaving the Roam on these chargers when not in use. Upon placing on the pad the white light will turn on, I assumed by design, but whenever I lift the Roam off these pads the battery is usually very low. What’s going on? This device is very close to being returned.(Ps. We have no other Sonos products so I only have the ap
[Solved: see 4th post] Hi! This is quite odd: My Roam in Bluetooth mode allows me to adjust the volume, no problem. My Move doesn’t. The volume slider on the phone changes, but it has no effect on the actual volume. That can seemingly only be controlled when I hit the touch buttons. This is quite ridiculous, given it should be very similar firmware and adjusting your volume in Bluetooth mode seems like a very common use case for a speaker that’s supposed to be used, on the move, without available Wifi. When is a fix for this coming? Should be trivial, given it already works with the Roam. Thanks. L
Hi everyone, The system: I own a pair of Sonos One (about two years old) and a Move (7-8 months old). The Ones are placed on opposite ends of the apartment. The Move is back in the back corner. The network: AT&T fiber with two UniFi boosters. The problem: The Move works great, anytime, all the time, no matter what I’m doing with it. My issue is with using both One speakers and how it affects the app on my phone. Here’s a list of what happens on a regular basis, sometimes all at once:Music cuts out intermittently Speakers don’t show up Delays with the controller The controller being completely blank Not having any control on which speaker is being used Music playing on a speaker or simply not stopping even when it’s not showing upThis has been going on for the past 3-4 months. No issues with ANY other smart device in our home except the two One speakers. They’re not connected to Ethernet cables and it’s not an option. The option to change channels is greyed out. Things I’ve done to
Hey,I get the Sonos Roam and it’s working really great on my iPhone but when I use on my MacBook Air M1 with Airplay the sound is playing when I reboot but after a while or standby of my computer and I switch again on Airplay I have no sound. If I try Airplay with my iPhone it works and if I restart my Macbook it works too. Any idea? Thanks,
Please can you tell me when the App is going to be updated to fix the constant having to reconnect to the WiFi, people are spending a great deal of money to buy sonos products, so I think the least you can do is give us an App that is reliable please, after all, the speakers are fantastic, so please match them with a fantastic APP. Thanking you. Stephen.
Hi, Anybody knows how to check Roam’s battery level when connected by Bluetooth? Thanks
Hello! I guess this is the best place to send a suggestion to Sonos. I have a pair of Fives with a Sub. This setup is incredible. If I were able to use the dual sub functionality with the setup, it would be amazing as the bass response would be even better. Sonos, it would be awesome if you added dual sub functionality for stereo pair setups. Thanks!
