Hi SONOS Is it possible that you can add information about the year a song or album was released when it opens, that's a feature YouSee has in their app that is really good and I miss it in your app? Best regards from a happy user of your fantastic products. :)Stephan
I have a living room TV with a Sonos sound bar base and two small Sonos speakers All attached to each other. I want to set up a bedroom TV with a Sonos room that is not linked to the living room TV. How do I do this?
I just put up my new Frame TV and Connected my Arc Ultra to the TV via Bluetooth. But I am unable to connect my in ceiling speakers to the system for my surround sound. Any help would be appreciated
My setup is an Arc Ultra with rear 300s and a sub gen 3, routed through earc from a Samsung s95f tv. I am having a really hard time getting a useable surround sound balance when playing games on the ps5 or switch 2, which are both configured using lpcm 5.1 for positional surround with minimal latency. I’ve narrowed down the main issue to the surround balancing that seems to occur between the Arc Ultra and the surround satellites, where the system seems to always want to use the arc to boost the surrounds even when it makes no sense. in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for example, if I rotate the camera around so a sound source goes from directly in front of me to directly behind me I can hear it move from the center to the side and then to the back, except as it moves to the back the side is always firing just as loud as it was while the object was mostly in front of me so now the overall volume of the source is basically doubled as it comes out of multiple speakers. truplay does nothing to m
I’ll answer the Title of this post (which is posed as a question) in one word which IMO is “None”.Sonos prefers a wireless environment whenever possible. Today’s routers are more robust with increased internal storage, gigabit RAM and top-end chipsets (i.e. processors). WiFi 7 routers are the growing trend which allows more information to be pushed through at faster speeds. However, you don’t need a WiFi 7 capable router to enjoy Sonos. Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 routers are fine. Only upgrade if you are noticing more drops than normal on an otherwise stable network. Routers do wear out and/or become more susceptible to interference.2.4Ghz is the band selected by most devices by default Devices capable of choosing between 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz will chose the latter when convenient for faster communication. Most devices will ignore 6Ghz unless they contain a chipset capable of handling the faster speed.Sonos will select 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz depending upon two factors:Equipment release date which we’ll cal
Fgured out a weird bug with Alexa and Sonos: If using Alexa, you can group sonos speakers together, and using the correct setting in Alexa, saying “Alexa play music” will play on the correct group of speakers without having to name them. This feature is broken using Alexa+, and Alexa defaults to playing music on the Echo device. VERY annoying. Anyone figure out a solve?
It has been mentioned a lot already but wanted to make a thread solely to say that all the remedies and work around offered by Sonos and Google do not work. My Sonos Move used to work flawlessly with Google Assistant. Recently it stopped allowing certain functionality like adding to shopping lists or find my phone stating that I had to set up voice match. The problem lies in that within my Google Home app, specifically the voice match setting, the Sonos speaker isn't found, even though it is part of my home and can be used for everything else. Then, 3 days ago, Spotify completely stopped working with Google Assistant and my Sonos. I can no longer control my music using voice controls, the speaker tells me "Sorry I can't do that on this device" I have unlinked and uninstalled all three apps (Sonos, Google Home and Spotify) re linked them and updated them multiple times. The Sonos speaker still isn't showing in the Google Assistant voice match setting so not allowing me to get personalis
Sonos peeps - can interested parties (of which there are many) get an update or timeline on when we can expect Sonos to add the option to see song lyrics in the app? I don’t like having to cheat on Sonos and use other apps to see lyrics when I channel my inner best singer ever fantasy! Many thanks!
Hi AllI am converting a small single bedroom into a dedicated movie watching room and was hoping for some advice as to what would be the optimum setup for the room.TV Size - 65"Viewing distance - 2.0m (6' 6")Room width (minimum) - 2.4m (7' 11")Room width (maximum) - 2.7m (8' 10")Ceiling height - 2.4m (7' 11")Room length - 3.8m (12' 6")I am happy to spend the money on the setup below, but I was wondering if the small size of the room would make it massive overkill:Arc UltraSub Mini2 x Era 300Setup would be as per the image below. So I guess my question is, will I be able to see the full benefits of the Arc Ultra and Era 300s over a Beam Gen 2 and Era 100s in a room this size, or will the very small volume of the room mean that they won't have enough space to work to their full potential?I should also add that I'd happily upgrade to a Sub 4 (or 2 x Sub Minis) if that would be a big improvement, but am assuming that the small size of the room would make that unnecessary? Thanks
I am starting from a scratch. In one room we have four speaker wires to a central location. In the other room we have two speaker wires to a central location and want to add a sound bar. Where do I start? Sonos is clearly the best. What equipment do I need for a wired system? How much space will I need for any amp or similar? Thank you!
Afternoon all. Have an opportunity (at last) to upgrade a listening room and will be going with ERA 300’s and ARC Ultra.Lots of bracketry options but has been a while since bought any. It’s a room that is going to totally renovated and cosmetics as well as practicalities are important. Interested in your suggestion, recommendations and experience as to what the best looking and functioning white bracketry would be please?I’m keen to all the fitting and messy stuff before the nice purchases later year. So getting the right infrastructure and hardware to sit underneath is useful to do now at the drilling and channelling stage.Appreciate any input and advice you have. Many thanks
I’m trying to get better sound balance without cluttering the room. Any placement tips that worked well for you?
I connected Sonos to the Alexa app and used the Sonos skill for a while until it stopped working. So i disabled the skill, but couldn’t reactivate it. This error is due to “Geographical restrictions”. I’m in Norway.
Apologies if this has been asked before, but I can’t find a thread which answers my question.I have a holiday property with a number of Sonos speakers, controlled by some old iphones set in kiosk mode, so guests can use the sonos app (and nothing else).Whilst this works ok, I prefer to have the app in a ‘logged out’ state, as I don’t want guests fiddling with updates or changing any settings. - this has happened before :-(The issue I have is with alarms, as an alarm can’t be set without the app prompting the user to log in. - I wondered if there was a work around for thisA ‘guest mode’ with limited functionality would solve this issue, but this doesn’t seem to be an option
I have Sonos amps running waterproof speakers in the bathroom / shower rooms which I control with flic buttons. Ie press the button once and it plays a predetermined playlist. Double press stops the track. Long press switches to another playlist, Is there anyway to make these playlists play randomly without going into the app. I’d just like the playlist to start on a different track each time rather than hear the same 2 or 3 songs every time ? thanks David
Please can Sonos deliver functionality to allow the same speakers to be configured differently for Music and TV playback.I have era 300’s and a Beam.I want to have a preset grouping for a stereo pair (era 300’s) for musicandA preset grouping for Surround era 300’s + Beam for tv. I thought I might be able to do this by creating to ‘rooms’.. Loung TV / Lounge Music…. but it will only allow the speakers to belong to one room grouping. This can’t be achieved currently and would be a massive positive. When I play music with all three speakers (even when in ‘full’ mode - it doesn’t sound anywhere as near as good as the two era’s as a stereo pair).
If I provide a photo of the room I want to purchase a system for, could you recommend the best options/setup?
It’s a bit difficult to pin down exact nature of the new problems with Google Assistant automation routines running on Sonos speakers that I reported earlier, but I’ve made some progress. It’s complicated by the fact that Google Home is in a state of flux at the moment as Google is making extensive changes that have introduced a lot of new bugs. No help from either Google or Sonos on this of course. The main item is this: now when a Google Assistant routine runs on Sonos and executes a custom command or query action that generates spoken output, it causes the routine to abort after completing the action. For example, you can have a routine with a series of actions to make device settings, or to tell you the time, the date. the weather, your schedule for the day, etc., and the routine will run just fine as long as they are standard actions or queries selected from the menu of the new automation editor. But if you insert in there a custom Google Assistant query or command not on the menu

Does Sonos have plans to integrate Alexa+ and so many other Alexa features into their smart speakers soon? I am getting close to giving up on Sonos and replacing my five speaker investment and going with either Alexa Echo smart speakers or Google Nest smart speakers. They may not sound quite as good as Sonos speakers (I honestly don’t know) but at least they support ALL of their features including their AI services.
How do I play music (MP.3s) stored on my Mac through my Sonos Play:1 speakers?
Moderator edit:Google Translate-Hello, I have a large open-plan living area (approximately 80 square meters). I've installed four Sonos Five speakers and now want to remove all my old home theater equipment.I'm planning to invest in the Sonos Arc Ultra, which has an HDMI input. That said, will it connect to the four wall-mounted Sonos Five speakers to create a 4.1 system? Is there a microphone or a setup app for the entire system? Is this even possible?Thank you for your help.
Recently, when I ask my Sonos 1 via Alexa to play something on Spotify, it tries to do so via my sister in law’s account Spotify account (which ultimately doesn’t work). I checked my Sonos and Alexa configurations and don’t see any trace of her account information, everything is tied to mine. It worked fine for years up until recently. I also have a Beam and that works fine. The only area that I know of where any of our account infos would touch is we are both on a family Amazon Prime, and also Spotify family plan. Does anyone know what to check or why this may be happening? Thanks
Best way to tune Beam gen2 with 2 Era 100 using Android.
Hi, I’m looking for some advice on what system and setup will be best for the space below please.I’m thinking Era 100’s where the green circles are and an Arc for the TV area in the yellow. The 100’s would be a mixture of wall mounted and worktop placed.I’m not keen on the location near the sink, this would be wall mounted above a light switch. I’m concerned how it would look but I’m thinking this would give a better coverage for the island and kitchen with the other speaker across from it than the shelving area. I’m also unsure of the one located by the TV area. I think it would physically become an obstruction.I considered ceiling speakers but have the children’s bedrooms above the main part of the space and have read they do not perform as well as wall mounted speakers.I’m looking to get a good coverage across the main areas of the room, kitchen, island, dining table and TV area for music. I’m not looking to use a surround sound for the TV but would be good if there was a way to par
