I have a Sony Android TV (KD65A8G) and I can’t maintain a connection to my Arc soundbar after a couple of months of perfect operation. It did seem to coincide with a Sonos app update (may be pure coincidence). The TV keeps reverting back to its internal speakers due to a connection failure. I can still play music through the Arc from my phone, and the on-screen pattern/graphics appear on the TV during music playback (doesn’t seem to be an HDMI cable fault). When I reset the TV settings the Arc system appears for a few seconds on the TV as being active then disappears again as the TV reverts back to internal speakers. I’ve tried reinstalling the Sonos system and reseting all of the TV options including a full factory reset. Has anyone else experienced similar as this is driving me crazy!
Hello. I”m looking for a solution and I’m hoping someone here can help me. I currently have in wall and in ceiling speakers with the speaker wires going to a utility room. In my living room I have a turntable. I’d like to listen to records through the ceiling speakers. If I buy the amp to power the speakers in the utility room and buy a port to connect to the record player, will the amp recognize the port as the outgoing signal and play through the speakers? Sorry if this isn’t a clear ask. Hoping someone can guide me. Thank you!
Does anyone know how to access the lyrics for Apple Music via Sonos? On the Sonos website it clearly states that this is available, but I cannot find it anywhere.
I’m running a Sonos Arc with a Sub 3 as my normal day to day listening setup but I use a Sonos Amp to run my B&W floor standers, SVS PB13 ultra and sunfire solitaire 12 when watching movies and run them as an extra zone. But what I’m not sure of is the system information only shows me that I’m getting True HD Atmos on the Arc but I’m curious how the audio is processed when sent to the Amp. Would I be getting the same uncompressed Audio to the Amp too?
I'm having an odd issue - I can't seem to add (or play) Apple Music on my Sonos --- directly from Apple Music. I can stream from my Windows PC (presumably AirPlay 2) - but I can't actually play my (paid) Apple Music library from the Sonos app.I'm getting error 701 on my iPad, and "UNABLE TO ADD TO QUEUE" (no error code) on the Windows 10 native Sonos app.OTHER details: The only (recent) change to my Sonos system is I added Spotify Premium. I think something may have gotten corrupted - even the name of my Apple Music service was what I thought I set Spotify to.FINALLY: I've had Sonos (and 10 zones) for >11 years so I'm pretty familiar - and had to remove my Sonos Bridge (thanks Sonos) when S2 was released. That's when weird stuff like this started...
I use only Spotify Premium, build playlists in Spotify, and play via Sonos (Playbar; Play 1). I cannot get beyond 4K songs per Spotify playlist for Sonos queue to accept it. Everything I’m reading indicates either no max size, or a much larger than 4K song playlist. Any helpers?Lou, BC, Cda.
I have a Playbar plus 4x Sonos ones, what is the best way to connect a Turntable to this set up?Finally is it possible to connect to the Tidal subscription service with my setup using Sonos S2 Amp on Android
Does Sonos play 24 bit 48khz on Qobuz with my Sonos five.
Why does Sonos connect need to be that big? why cant it be so small that I can simply hide it behind my thin tv mounted on the wall?
I just recently installed two pairs of outdoor speakers and a Sonos Amp. I have two televisions in my backyard and My questions is as follows. Can these outdoor Speakers be used as rear surrounds when paired with a Playbar under each one of these Televisions. Each television will have a soundbar under it and would like to know if the outdoor speakers would work as rear surrounds?
My Sonos controller for my Mac book stopped working because I have 3 components (out of 13) that only work on S1 app now. Is there an alternative? I need to control my S1 from Mac
I’ve seen a number of old, now closed, comments about this and would like to address it once again. I’d love to be able to create named folders in Favorites so I could better organize what I listen to. Playlists doesn’t do what I want as it will add all songs individidually from an album, not just the album like Favorites does. For example, I might add folders for Jazz, Blues, Rock, Ambient, Classical, Folk, Soul etc.and have favorite albums from each genre. Anyone else want a feature like this?
Hi,I have both Sonos Play 5 (Gen 1) and Sonos Move, and put them in S1 system so that they can work together.Usually I group/un-group them at the “Room” Tab, but I notice that in the Setting - AirPlay tab, it has an option called "Group Non-AirPlay Products", it seems that to group my Play 5 with Move.I turn on/off this option, but it seems does not have any effect on my devices, I can only group/un-group them at the “Room” Tab, so my question is: What's the use of "Group Non-AirPlay Products"? Is it conflict with the group function at the “Room” Tab?
I have recently purchased the Home theatre system with Arc, mainly for the Atmos experience. I have connected the ARC to HDMI ARC on LG B7. However, whenever I play any ATMOS content on Netflix on LG TV, "Dolby Atmos" doesn't pop up on the screen as it does for "Dolby vision". After which I have tried connecting to Apple TV 4k but no luck there too. Could you please let me know if ARC supports Dolby Atmos with LG B7, if so what could be the correct settings for that.
Before purchasing the Sonos Amp, I was pairing my B&W CM7 floorstanders with Creek Destiny amp, and the source was Sonos Connect via Lindemann DAC. I have bid farewell to the Creek, the Connect, the DAC, and now very much enjoy the simplicity of Sonos Amp + CM7, but also find that my previous system sounded better, with more texture and details.Since I love the Amp’s versatility and want to spend my life with it, do you think a better pair of speakers will improve the situation? I am willing to spend up to 3000$, but I am not sure if the 649$ Amp is able to drive such hi-end speakers to their finest. In most reviews I have read, they usually pair the Amp with sub-500 or sub-1000$ speakers only. Many thanks for your insights.
I mistakenly created three playlists for myself….can the playlist be combined into one? will duplicated songs be eliminated?I cant seem to figure it out. ThanksRex*Moderator Note: Please censor personal information when posting.*
Hi I love my Sonos ARC and have no real issues with it in terms of what it does however, I recently discovered that I have a hard drive with old movie rips and some downloaded ones on it that are all 5.1 or AC3 5.1 which the Sonos seems not to like. it is almost like some channels are missing, meaning you get the background music and some sound effects but no speech people are talking. if I play one that is Atmos it works fine. I realise it could be the way the movie was originally ripped but if I unplug the drive and play through my other tv attached to a Sonos Beam everything is fine. I did have it when playing Punisher over Netflix once but after turning everything off it played back at DD+ when I put it back on and it has never happened againJust wondered if anyone could explain why this could be happening ?
[ Quality / Quality Assurance ] *** Has Sonos taken the Arc and Samsung QN75Q90TAFXZA through their Quality Assurance Process? Thanks! ... In Partnership and Service,Raj Dhir
Apologies is this is already in 1,000s of other posts but I have been unable to find it. I’m an old Sonos User (7 devices are going legacy soon, ugh!) -- I used the trade-up program to switch out one of my ZP-100s for a Sonos Amp and was pleased to see that the Amp has an HDMI input. I was hoping to be able to play audio from a Sony Short throw projector (an LSPX-P1 -- the ZP-100 of short-throw projectors). Alas, the LSPX-P1 has only a simple “HDMI out” port and not an “HDMI audio” or “HDMI ARC.” I assume I would need to get some device that would either split my HDMI into a ‘video’ and ‘ARC’ or some device that simply converts HDMI to ARC. Looking at the message boards it looks like there are loads of people who need multiple splitters to hook up tons of devices -- for me it is much simpler but I’m still not sure which is the best route in order to get some audio for watching stuff on this projector.
Easy question. I am leaning towards purchasing the ARC to replace an old Onkyo TX-NR535 and Polk R8’s, although the huge backorder on all websites concerns me, my question is connections. How would I connect my direct TV reciever and Amazon fire stick? With the reciever it is simple. Would I use my multiple HDMI input on my TVTV output to input on SONOS - Direct TV and Fire stick output to HDMI input on TV? Thanks.
I am replacing my home theater tv with a new LG CX (which is eARC compatible). Currently I have a 10 year old Yamaha with regular front, center, rear ceiling and sub driving everything (no Sonos). Looking at potentially upgrading, and the way it appears I have 5 options:Leave as is and just plug in. Cost $0. No sound enhancement, no Sonos & lots of clutter. Sonos Arc, Sub & Amp for rear ceiling. Cost $1500 or so using 2 trade up credits. Sonos Arc, Sub & Rear. Cost $1300 or so using 1 trade up credit. Plus would probably buy stands to put behind and not hang because of cord so another $200+. 2 Amps, one to drive the current front speakers and current sub and 1 to drive the current rear speakers. Lose center channel I believe? Cost $900 or so using 2 trade up credits. Use 2 configuration as above, lose the Amp for rear ceiling and repurpose either two Play 1s or Play 3s for rear. Uses only 1 trade up credit but would have to buy stands so about $1100 + $200+ for stands. If m
I want to purchase the correct setup and need advice before I buy. I haven’t bought anything yet but I need to know this will work both ways flawlessly without a lot of user input when toggling back and forth. I want to watch or the game with high quality surround on the patio but the other half the time I want to use the system as a stereo system. I was thinking of the arc, the sub, and 2 Sonos five speakers. My question is does Sonos allow me to have one configuration as a home theater setup and have the pair of fives as surround speakers to complement the arc and sub and another configuration that would allow hifi setup with the pair of fives with the arc and sub complementing them When playing music. If so would it be easy to switch back and forth.
Merci !
So, two months ago I bought a Sonos ARC, Sonos sub and two Sonos One’s for a family room setup. I am eventually moving to Florida with the setup and the room will be 20x20 open into a kitchen that is 18x14. The ceilings are 12-14ft hight. The Best Buy salesman was concerned that with ceiling heights like those, the Atmos sound would not work well with the ARC. Then he said to just add a Sonos Amp and two in-ceiling speakers when I move and that would provide adequate Dolby Atmos sound. So, today I went in to look at outdoor speakers and we got into a conversation about what I currently have and what I wanted to do in Florida with this room. This time two of them in the store said it won’t work, and at the very least be ineffective for what we want. In fact, they suggested I go to a traditional receiver to do Atmos in a room that size. Does anyone here have a room with volume like that and will it work?
