Sonos Arc connecting to Direct TV / Firestick

Easy question.  I am leaning towards purchasing the ARC to replace an old Onkyo TX-NR535 and Polk R8’s, although the huge backorder on all websites concerns me, my question is connections. 

How would I connect my direct TV reciever and Amazon fire stick?  With the reciever it is simple.  Would I use my multiple HDMI input on my TV

TV output to input on SONOS - Direct TV and Fire stick output to HDMI input on TV?

Yes. The TV is the ‘hub’, that receives all HDMI input. Then, depending on what outputs you have on the TV, you connect the Sonos Sound bar via optical, ARC, or eARC. Then whatever is playing on the TV plays through the Sonos.
