The android controller finds my downloaded podcasts the first time I select that feature... But it doesn't seem to update the list after new ones download and old ones are removed. How do I get it to refresh?
I have 2 x CR200s and find them wonderfully easy to use, and so convenient as they just sit in their cradles. I have of course had a replacement unit due to touchscreen failure, and now the second one has developed a dead spot. Sonos will replace this for £70 which isn't too bad, but with the removal of so many functions in 5.4 (particularly EQ - what were they thinking?) I'm wondering about a different solution. I know you can dedicate an Android phone or small tablet to Sonos and even apparently connect it to Sonosnet rather than wifi. But what I really like is the ability to leave the controller in a charging cradle, and with the interface already open, so it's always ready to use. In other words, not having to leave it connected to a cable, and not having to open an app before you can use it. So here's my question, can anyone recommend a device that will work this way? 1. It needs a cradle/charging dock, not a cable. 2. Preferably small - a phone or tablet no bigger than
Can anyone confirm whether you will need a Sonos One or a Sonos Play 1 to be able to play content from Apple products using Airplay? I know that Playbase and Play 5 will support it, but don’t have either of them. I currently have a Playbar, a Sub, and 6 Play 1’s, (in a 5.1 configuration, a Stereo Pair and 2 seperate rooms with a single Play 1 in). I want to add one more speaker, would prefer a Play 1 as I have absolutely no interest in voice control, but would buy a Sonos One if that is the Only way to add Airplay to my system. Thank you in anticipation.
I would like to see an additional option in advanced settings to "Prevent Updates". This would be used by people who have a significant investment in older controllers or some other reason not to use the latest firmware and want to prevent an accidental upgrade. The key difference for this setting from just unchecking the "Automatically check for updates" box are as follows: - The new option will remove the "Update Now" button from showing on any controller. - The new option will cause zone players or controllers that may have required repair to take on the current system firmware revision when added back to the system rather than forcing an update to the latest firmware version. (Note this is not the same as rolling back firmware which Sonos says it will not support) -The new option will block any third party app or controller from initiating an update unless you go into advanced options and explicitly turn off the "Prevent Updates" flag.
I have a connect and 2 surround speakers. I tried connecting connect to receiver with optical audio but does not work. Do I use the network connection or coaxial cord to connect receiver instead?
I have a pair of old Play:1. I would like to spray paint the grill white - with the same color as the speaker. What is the color code for the white color ?
Hi all, hoping someone can help. I have my DJ setup wired via ZP90, output is fine through line-in and plays through all my Sonos speakers fine. I have sorted the compression and when I move the vinyl on the turntables there is no lag, however there is a small delay on the headphones. My connections are as per the photographs. I have REC out on the amp but unable to find a way to stop the delay in the headphones. Can anyone please help based on the photos? Thanks in advance.
I have been reading the tropic of music skipping and my system also does its fair share of skipping. Seems like in the last year is when the problem started popping up, most likely after a software update. I have had my speakers over 6 year and never once did the problems like this pop up. When I look at the feed back, its never a Sonos software problem! (Its either a wifi or electrical interference problem) My music skips so I did the following 1, Played music only from my music library (iPad and iMac) skips 2, Played music from Pandora skips 3, Played music from Pandora with one speaker five feet from router skips 4, Change speakers and placed the other one five feet from router skips 5, Changed channels on my system skips 6, Changed channel on my wifi skips More people would be here if they listened and took notice.
Hello ! I’m quite new to this forum but have been using SONOS for quite few yrs. I have got my HDMI 3D projector from Optoma and wish to configure a Home theatre (not necessarily a surround system). The projector sits at the far backend of the room projecting toward the screen in front. I have my SONOS Play 5 near in the front and play 1 near the projector. I wish to connect my projector audio to Sonos. Wonder if I could achieve it with SONOS CONNECT? I had read quite few post but those are outdated and not sure if there are any few suggestions/solutions to get this job done. The aim is not to run too many cables around. my projector audio out is like: any suggestion on this please? http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/audio-and-headphones/audio/hifi-systems-and-speakers/sonos-connect-wireless-multi-room-stereo-adaptor-02418150-pdt.html https://www.amazon.co.uk/Optoma-WHD200-Wireless-HDMI-System/dp/B00O7GYNGK
Hi, i currently only have a BOSE soundTouch 10 and I am planning to get a PLAYBAR, a SUB. I am wondering can I connect the BOSE soundTouch10 to the PLAYBAR? I want to create a 5.1 home theater system, I don't know if I only need to buy one more speaker or I have to buy two SONOS speaker. Thanks
I need the controller that is compatible with MAC OS 10.9.5, the latest version is not compatible with my OS. Does anyone have a download link.? Thanks,
When I am listening to Pandora or Songza the song will cut off randomly in the middle and jump to the next track. This has happened with my iTunes library as well, but far less frequently. Biggest problem is Pandora. Diagnostic confirmaton # is 3437289. Thanks for your help.
Can Sonos speakers connect to a Google home mini (after Google assistant is supported) like they can with other sonos speakers? For example, the way sonos speakers can play the same music in separate rooms on multiple sonos speakers, can he same be done with a sonos speaker and a Google home mini?
I have had my Sons Playbar when connected to the TV controlled by my Harmony Elite for the last six months or so without any problems. Recently the Harmony has stopped adjusting the sound on the Playbar and whilst I cannot pinpoint the exact time this problem stared it does seem to have coincided with the last update to the Sonos controller. The question is - how do I get my Harmony Elite to control the sound on the Playbar. The sound can be adjusted by using the Sonos app
I listen to podcast a lot and there's one function built in to the iOS Podcast app that I miss a lot when I use the SONOS, which is the 15 sec skip forward/backward. This is useful when you missed something or when you want to skip an ad. Possible to add this in?
Can someone please tell me how to set up Sony Bravia TV with my Sonos system? Thanks
I have a Panasonic Soundbar and Sub but I would like to install Sonos throughout the house. Can I connect to the existing specification to listen to the TV and utilise current Soundbar and Sub. Any help would be much appreciated.
Is SONOS ever going to update to virtual DTS X. Until then I won't touch SONOS since it is an old system
I enjoy showing movies outside with a projector by my pool. The best way I have found to do this is to bring my playbase down to the pool to connect into the optical audio in and then set up two play ones for surround sound. This is a bit cumbersome, does anyone have any other suggestions? Using a Sonos connect just means the audio experiences a significant delay from the video so that isn't an option. I really wish Sonos made a small device that had an optical in that would make that sound available to all Sonos speakers.

I have a old Play 3 that is connected with a Bridge. One month ago I bought an other Play3. This one didnt need a bridge at all. Do you know what the difference is between the old ones and the new ones. Is it a hardware change or is it a software change? If its a software change, is it enough with an normal update?
I created an account here so I can vent. This latest version of the app is horrible. There appears to be rhyme or reason about where anything is located. For some bizarre reason I cannot search for music from the music tab. On the search tab there are buttons at the bottom... but the actual search icon is a dim thing at the top. BTW, what is with unreachable buttons at the bottom? When I am holding my device my thumbs point up, not down. On a scale of 1 to 10 the usability of this version is about minus 3.
Hi When I want to add more tracks at once to my playlist in the windows sonos app. I can't, only it's possible add one track at a time. It would be useful add this feature to sonos app. regards
I have Sony Android TV (55XBR850D) that has no issues passing through DD 5.1 to my Sonos for built in apps like Netflix, Amazon and connected HDMI devices Apple TV, PS4 etc. The only issue I have is with purchased or rented movies on the built in Google Play app on my TV it won't passthrough the DD 5.1 and the Sonos says under About page that is receiving Stereo only. Has anyone else had this issue on other TV's I'm trying to determine if this is just an issue with my TV or Google Play not working right with Sonos speakers? Thanks!
Hi. Has anyone come seen a mounting solution to fix a playbar above a TV instead of below. Clearly it's possible the wall mount above but is there any product which would allow screen mounting the playbar above??
