I have recently installed a new ASUS AIMesh home network with one main router and two nodes (loft and kitchen). Sonos just doesn’t seem to like connecting via direct WIFI anymore as my speakers (8 x Play 1s) continually drop off the network/App. I have had to switch to a wired deployment as a workaround. I have been searching the web for help, disabled airtime fairness and also ASUS smart connect but still fail to have a stable Sonos system over WIFI.Any other comments or ideas from anyone is very welcome! Thanks  

Hii have a turntable, connected to a pre amp, which is connected to my Technics stereo with CD player which is connected to the Port. I have just purchased the Port and can play CD’s but cannot seem to hear the records on the turntable. Can anyone suggest what I’m doing wrong please? thanks

so i was wondering if anyone knows why the sonos app wont show if im playing dolby atmos or any other audio channel. its just blank above the moon shape. any fixes.  im connected to my Samsung QN75Q8FNB through ARC hdmi port.

Hi, does the new xbox series x transcode dts to dolby digital while playing blu rays? The previous xbox did, and I'd like to know it does, and it's tested with a beam, before (hopefully) buying one. 

Hi Everyone,Wonder if someone can help me with the following question:If I want to stream music (24-bit 44.1kHz/48kHz) directly from Amazon HD via the Sonos app (S2) in the latest Sonos Five. Does the Sonos Five need to be wired or can it stream that quality wireless as well?I have a 100mb broadband speed so not a problem.Looking forward to your answers.

I cannot create a group from the Spotify iOS app. This is what I get when selecting the option to create a group. I was able to do last month but after a Sonos system update and/or iOS 14 and/or latest Spotify app update I only get this blank screen.  Of course I can still create the group from the Sonos app.

HiI just bought a Oneplus Nord and can't get Sonos to show on the lockscreen. The volume control doesn't work either.  I've tried Spotify and that works on the lock screen.What can I do about it? 

Hey guys, I recently bought an Arc and wanted to upgrade my TV to support Atmos. I was looking at the TCL 8 series and noticed that with the latest firmware update it has eARC enabled.My understanding was that only if the TV had HDMI 2.1 it would have eARC . Since it isn't HDMI 2.1  but the firmware update enables eARC , how would it work exactly? Would the TCL 8 series after the update be able to play Atmos? Thanks in advance!

Hello Sonos community :) I have an issue where i am unable to get surround sound working on my home theatre setup.Whenever i play netflix on my projector connected to my Sonos surround sound, it does not play any audio, I need to go into the audio settings of netflix and change it to stereo and then it works. (in stereo only)The sonos app says the speakers are setup for surround sound.This is very frustrating and would love to get surround sound working correctlyMy setup is a chromecast & projector connected to an Avencore HDMI 4x2 True Matrix Switch & Splitter via HDMI, Optical cable from Avencore matrix to a sonos playbar. 1 playbar, 2 * play 1 & 1 sub all connected wireless.Im happy to purchased some new kit to get this working.thanks

Hi Everyone,I’ve just hooked up my Samsung Q95T to my Sonos Soundbar and there seems to be a slight delay on the sound. This wasn’t an issue with my previous Samsung TV. Hoping there is a setting that I’ve missed but can’t seem to find it.Thanks!

I have a playbase, two Play:1s and a sub set up in a 5.1 configuration.  My 4K apple TV is connected to my TV by HDMI and the TV feeds the playbase through an optical connection.  When I listen to music I use Plex and can access it in a couple of different ways (Apple TV, Sonos app, Plex app).  Each app gives me different features with the Apple TV the best.  But I get different audio as well.  If I listen with the Sonos App or the Plex android app I seem to get balanced audio from each of the playbase & the Play:1s.  But if I use the Apple TV I get almost nothing from the Play:1s.  I realize in a basic 5.1 set up there isn’t much sent to the rear channels so I’m wondering what I would have to change. Thoughts?  Suggestions?BTW, I’m happy to detail the features lost within the Plex app and the Sonos app but that’s a whole other set of threads.Thanks.

Hi,Is Sonos current limit to a 5.1 (or 5.1.2) system due to software/firmware or due to hardware? If it’s firmware, hopefully that means a future remote update will open up the ability to pair more channels with our Arc (like 9.1 or 9.1.2)! Can you tell me what is currently bottle necking the home theater expansion?If a Sonos employee -- Please pass on this request! Thank you for the info!

I have beam surround set up. And i recently buy arc and set up surround setting. I usually set volume at 30 when i was using beam. But now i need to set volume 50 to hear same sound. Anyone have same problem???

Hiya, Sonos peeps!While I respect that Sonos is encouraging people to upgrade, I’m growing a bit weary of the S1 app asking me to consider updating to S2 over and over and over.You know I have legacy equipment, you know I’ve chosen to stay on S1, you know you’ve asked already. So stop asking already!Btw, I bought my first Sonos gear 10+ years ago and have grown our collection over time. Everything still works great! I admire that Sonos has created and supports such durable tech gear, as way too many companies don’t.So don’t consider this post a complaint. Consider this a gracious request.

Hi all,I have downloaded the S2 Controller app for Windows 10 and I am facing the issue that I cannot find the option how to minimize the Controller into the system tray. When I minimize it, the the app gets minimized into the taskbar. I tried to open Mini Controller and then to minimize the master app, but then I got two application in the taskbar instead of system tray.Could you please let me know if there is any “hidden” option that you can check/uncheck to have S2 Controller app minimized into the system tray like, for example, Spotify app.Thank you and best regards.

Hello,  I recently purchased a Connect (ZP-90) and connected it to my Yamaha amp via the optical cable. (into the CD input on the amp),I changed the CD input on the amp to optical via the amp’s setup menu.  Problem is, there is no sound.   The optical cable is fine and is transmitting the red optical signal.  I’ve used 2 other optical cables, with the same result.  It works fine if I use the RCA leads but not the Optical.  I have checked and re-checked my settings on the amp and there is no reason why it shouldn’t work.   I have used other inputs on my amp but same result.    Any ideas? Thanks,Mark,

I have upgraded from a Sonos Playbar (probably the best purchase I have made) to the Sonos ARC with the view to obtaining Dolby Atmos.  The Arc is connected to two Play One’s as surround speakers.  I have the Arc connected to the an HDMI ARC port (4) on the TV via the supplied HDMI cable.  I have a Sky Q box connected to HDMIARC 1 and an Apple 4k streamer connected to HDMIARC2.  The TV is able to have HDMIs 1 and 2 set to HDMI 2.1 which is enabled.  I get significant lipsync issues with all sources including the inbuilt Netflix and Prime Video apps on the Philips TV.  The audio sync issue is in the opposite direction to the adjustments that can be applied to the TV and SONOS ARC so I have no way to alter through settings.  If I switch to optical using the supplied adapter, the sync issue disappears so it is HDMI related although I am unsure whether the issue lies with the TV or the ARC.  I also had no prior issues with the Playbar which was Optically connected.  Dolby Atmos wise, I hav

Hello I have an older Play:1 and now I am planning to purchase ARC and ONE to have a surround system. Will the older Play:1 pair with the ARC and the ONE? Or do I need to get two ONE speakers?Thank you 

My Playbase is not working properly (as part of a system with multiple Sonos devices connected to Wi-Fi where everything was fine). First, it disappeared from the S2 app. I was only able to add it back to the app by plugging it in to Ethernet. But it won’t add back to my Wi-Fi network no matter how many times I try to do this. It disappears from the app as soon as I unplug the Ethernet. I just submitted diagnostic code 2022648469 - thanks!

I am looking to upgrade to the Arc in the new few months to go with a new tv...my current system is a play bar along with gen 1 Play 1s and a sub.  Will the play 1s and sub work with the new arc?  And would I see a significant improvement if I upgrade my sub? Thanks

I wanted to pair a Move with my wife’s Lenovo DESKTOP that runs Win10. I had an old LogiTech USB/BT adapter that I tried, but no joy. Probably just meant for their BT keyboards & mice. To prove out the concept, I DID successfully pair that Move with my MS SurfaceBook, which runs Win10. Now my question: has anyone successfully paired a Move with a DESKTOP PC that runs an external (USB) Bluetooth adapter? If so, what BT adapter did you use (/do you recommend)? I am looking to Buffalo LinkStation 210 or Western Digital My Cloud Home Personnel.

hey guys,  you know, this wouldn’t be an issue if I have a TV cos it’s a no-brainer. But now I have the abovementioned devices and I need advice before I splash some money to buy a device that would make it work. My monitor has 3 HDMI ports. Nintendo Switch dock has one HDMI port and Sonos Beam has one HDMI port.  Connecting Nintendo Switch to Monitor would only generate visual, no audio. Very doubtful that HDMI through Sonos to Monitor would have changed that. So I didn’t try. So what are my options? Thanks guys!
