After updating from S1 to S2, the music stored on my samsung galaxy A40 can no longer be played from the S2 app. The error I’m getting is [x-track] is no longer available on [my phone]. All music can be played on other apps (and is stored in the Music folder). I’ve granted all permissions (going so far as to uninstall the app, forget my home network, reboot and reinstall everything.) Am not sure what’s wrong.
Is generation 1 or 2 of the sub compatible with S1 ? Want to buy but don’t want to mess with 2 different apps.
Hey guys,Just wondering if anyone has a setup similar to this before I go and purchase:Sonos Amp to iMac through the 3.5mm headphone jackIf so, do you experience any delay/sync issues when watching videos? If anyone has any insight on this I would really appreciate it thanks guys!
Hi guys, I have a Beam, 2 x One SL, Sub (Gen 3) and a Move. I have finally given into the lure of vinyl and I was wondering what the best option is for me and my current set up. The above speakers (minus the Move) are set up in my sitting room as a surround sound system - can I get a turntable that will play music through that set up? I’d need the Sonos amp or connect...right? Would this defeat the purpose of the turntable though, would if be better to get hifi speakers that I connect (analogue)? I’m a newbie to all this. Thank you.
Hello, I have a sonos connect hooked up to a vintage Curtis Mathes record player/radio console. I have 2 other sonos speakers (play 1) in other rooms that are on opposite ends of my place. I am able to stream wireless services (Spotify, etc) through all speakers, including the Curtis Mathes and it sounds amazing. I would love to be able to play records wirelessly throughout my place, but I am unable to get the songs to play through the play 1 speakers, when I’m using the Line In setting and play records through the console. It seems I get some type of signal, because there is a buzzing that comes through the play 1 speakers that isn’t usually there, but no songs. Is there something I’m missing? Are the devices too far away from one another? Is it possible that these two pieces of equipment don’t communicate in the way I’d hoped? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Can I use the Arc & Sub without rear speakers? The room isn’t conducive to placing rear speakers and I am wondering if the Arc & Sub will provide enough sound on their own.
Hi all, I’ve been running a couple of Play 1’s in my office, my music library sits on my Mac, and the S2 OS app on the mac links the library to the Play 1’s.I have an old ZP80, which I plan to reinstate with a turntable connected via RCA in, running to the S1 controller app, I will then factory reset the Play 1’s and add the to the S1 controller app.I am hoping that the music from the turntable, through the ZP80 will then come through the Play 1’s. Am I planning this correctly? Is anyone doing the same and using a turntable into a ZP80.Any conformation and advice would be appreciated.
I have a very good self powered sub that I want to use. I currently use Arc + Sub via optical splitter. However, I’d like to know a way to have the Sonos using EARC while the Sub uses optical. Any suggestions? *** Thoughts on the Sonos Arc so far. Meh. It’s not as good as what I heard from a Sonos one time in Best Buy.. (maybe playbar?)
Two questions Does using the coax output on the port bypass the inbuilt DAC? Does the coax output resample everything to 24bit? If I’m streaming Apple Music will it be bit perfect?
I just moved into a place that has two in wall rear speakers, another two behind those in the kitchen and two outdoor speakers on the patio. Needing help with the setup. If I have the arc connected to the tv via eARC, does the AMP need to be connected to tv as well or will communicate wirelessly with arc sound bar? Also, unclear on how to connect the speakers. Do I need multiple AMPs? Plan on simply playing content from tv in living room and kitchen and occasionally on the patio. There are volume controls on the wall for kitchen and patio. Thanks.
Hello, new to Sonos and modern hi-fi generally. Looking to up my game from portable Bluetooth speakers. I purchased the 5s and the sub. Considering buying a high res mp3, specifically FiiO M6. Wondering if it is compatible with my system and how to connect, and will I have highest quality music on stereo. Thanks, realize this is basic but I'm old. Tk
Hello, I am looking to buy my husband a system for Christmas but need some help picking out the pieces needed. We currently have two mounted outdoor speakers and a sound bar by two different brands and I want to replace them with a sonos system. I want the speakers and sound bar to be able to connect to one another and play the same tunes. I was planning on ordering the outdoor speaker pair and the multi room entertainment set with Arc and Move. Will all that work together as I expect? Is there anything else I need? Or is there a better product for my needs? thanks!
I have a spare Playbar, if I give it to my daughter to connect to her TV, will she need an amp or some sort of base station for it, or will it work on its own?
Hi all! I have a Q85T and a PS5. I asked Sonos what settings to use and they said “Linear PCM on PS5 and Passthrough on TV” - when I do this, the output is Stereo 2.0. If I change the PS5 to ‘Dolby Bitstream” I get “Dolby Digital 5.1” but NOT “multichannel LPCM 5.1” output… do Samsung need to release an update to fix the TV or what is happening? Sorry I asked this elsewhere but maybe it should have been in here?
Just bought a Beam. Looking at photos on line, I see two passive radiators on the front. Where is the third one? Thanks people.
Hello, I have a playbase plus 2 play 5s setup as home cinema.the playbase doesn’t connect to the wifi anymore, works with lan cable but disconnects straight when I take the cable out. I’ve sent a diagnostic report. cheers, rogier
Hello, The only non-S2 compatible component in my system is connect. I recently upgraded the rest of my speakers. However, I do not see any discount for S2 substitutes like amp or port when i chek online. Am i wrong assuming I am eligible for discounts? Also, I am from Turkey. Do you post Products there? Regards,
Can I set up two moves as surround speakers with an Arc?
My sonos plays when i have no devices on the same wifi group as Sonos. It usually plays a song a lot louder than what I'd play it, and it usually plays the last song I listened to on Sonos. Last time it happened it was 7am I was at the gym (20km's away from home) with my phone not connected to any wifi and it started blaring some rather heavy rock at full volume.....wife wasn't happy! Since then its happened a few other times too with no devices on the same wifi grouping (only way we can turn it off when this happens is to turn off the speakers)
I have a pair of One SL’s, one in the kitchen, one in the living room. I cannot figure out how to have them play the same thing unless I pair them as stereo sound, which is great and works well, but what if I want to have them both play both channels, making the living room and the kitchen a “group”? I can’t find a play “everywhere” option either. Thanks!
I have a connect amp with connect wired speakers, what do I need to do in order to add wifi speakers - ac powered
I have a AMC CVT3030 amplifier, it is possible to connect it to the Sonos Port?
I add this because it seems a common thing to want to do, but it took me ages to work out how to do it, and no amount of searching turned up any answer. I wanted to add a network drive source to my Favorites.I have a USB drive mounted on my modem-router. I’ve copied my MP3 library to it. I then added this to my Sonos library using the Windows Sonos client and Manage > Music Library Settings > Music Library > Add. The USB source I specified as \\192.168.1.254\usb1\MyMusic (where usb1 is the name of my USB drive, and MyMusic the folder on it).The trick to adding this as a source in your Sonos Favorites is to click Music (top-right of the window), then Music Library, then Folders. Then use the pull-down menu on the source you just added, and select Add to Favorites. You can now browse the music using the Music > Sonos Favorites route. Some keywords to help this show up in searches: NAS, network drive
Which combo would give the better sound given they would be the same cost - a move or two ONES (Or a ONE and a ONE SL) - I like loud and EDM.,Appreciating the portability benefits of the move of course. I have a large room to fill - 7x5m with vaulted ceiling. Will get a PLAY 5 eventually but for now which is the better of the two options above please? Can’t seem to find this answer anywhere! Thanks! Also, when I have the play 5, which combo would go best with it then - a move or the two ONES?
Hello With the new sonos legacy mode that stops certain Sonos devices from being bricked, is the CR100 going to be added to this list? It was permanently bricked in April 2018 and not much has happened since. Can you PLEASE add this device to the supported devices for legacy mode?
