Hi all! I have a Q85T and a PS5. I asked Sonos what settings to use and they said “Linear PCM on PS5 and Passthrough on TV” - when I do this, the output is Stereo 2.0. If I change the PS5 to ‘Dolby Bitstream” I get “Dolby Digital 5.1” but NOT “multichannel LPCM 5.1” output… do Samsung need to release an update to fix the TV or what is happening?
Samsung just told me the 2020 QLEDs don’t support LPCM… *sigh*
I asked today in a chat. I was told that LPCM is not supported. So instead I asked if the 2020 QLED models (including my Q95T) will be supported in future firmware update. This was the persons response.
Our Expert Engineer as working out for that but as of now we don't have a time frame. But we can notify you once we have a update in regard to LPCM update.
Went into a chat again to make sure. Guess they’re making it confusing whether the 2020 QLED model supports LPCM.
I would suggest looking at the e manual of your tv just to make sure.
