But what button?I found something on the kit but nothing happened.is it a button on the app?Have just bought two speakers, beautifully packaged...but so far it's form over function. Going to have to return.Back to my Kef Coda 4s
My system just picked up the Amazon service changes. However, the Desktop app has an empty “Collections” section at the root of the object tree. Mobile shows Library / Explore Podcasts / User Playlists which I assume is correct.
I have a new (~3 weeks) Sonos Era 100 that has developed a digital ‘scratch’ sound when waking up the voice assistant. Whenever I say “Alexa…” I’ll get the chime and what sounds like a short scratch/static sound. The rest of audio playback is fine, music is unaffected, and I’ve not heard this same sound aside from using the wake word.Restarting the speaker didn’t do anything and I’m not sure if this is something I should initiate a return for, or if its a known issue with a fix.Ideas are welcome.
Please add a setting in Sonos Voice Control that lets users enable or disable the spoken announcement before music starts playing.Currently, when using Spotify, Sonos Voice Control announces the song title and artist before starting playback. With Apple Music, playback can start immediately after the confirmation sound. It would be useful to have a simple option such as:Announce song before playbackOn OffIdeally, this setting could apply per music service.Personally, I would prefer Spotify playback to behave like Apple Music: voice command → confirmation sound → immediate playback, without Sonos reading the track information aloud.Since the Spotify announcement is already handled by Sonos Voice Control, this seems like something that could be exposed as a user preference.Thanks.
I have multiple users on my system. Sonos says to log in to get the full experience. Does another user need to set up their own account then log in on the app which is connected to my system or do the need to use my login credentials?
Just wondering how the Era100 pairs with the Ray
Just as the title says. I know at one point, long ago I had this working. I have network drops at my Amp, and ARC and both of my subs. I want to hard wire all of them into the Ethernet ports and then turn Wifi off on the Arc, Amp, and both Subs. I was able to get the Wifi turned off on my Arc, and then add my Sub, but now that the sub is added to the Arc I don’t have the option to disable Wifi on the Sub. And the “Disable Wifi” on the Arc is checked but greyed out. Can I hard wire everything and turn off Wifi? If not, what is the point of the Sub even having an Ethernet port?

How do you remove the registered username from Sonos port without affecting the registration of the other Sonos devices
Hi! i have my turntable → sonos port → five. I am looking to see if there is way to get autoplay to work on source level 8.My thinking is that as long as the turntable is always connected to the port, the port should send a signal to the five as soon as the turntable sends signal to the port, without me having to manually change input in Sonos app to the five.Has anyone got this to work and can help me out? Thanks!
This new Amazon app is terrible. I don’t want a Sonos algorithm to choose my selections or what some AI decides is “personalized.” Part of why I pay Amazon is to access the millions of songs. On this new Sonos/Amazon interface, that is no longer a possibility. I hate this.
Hello, Some frustration here. I have Amazon Music Unlimited. I can connect to Amazon Music just fine. But when I try to play various Playlists that I have created using My Sonos I receive the message “The connection to Amazon Music was lost.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos app (S1). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon Music services on the Sonos app. Also, the Amazon Music was re-authorized. I have power-cycled everything: unpowered all my Sonos devices and unplugged my router and restarted everything five minutes later.Bottom line: No difference. I cannot play my my Sonos Playlists with Amazon Music tracks: “The connection to Amazon Music was lost”.At this point I have no idea what to do except the solution of last resort, which is to re-create all of my playlists. This, of course, is unattractive, to say the least.Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!Mateo
Can Airparrot send my windows PC sound to a Sonos device?I mean like Airplay does with mac
Sirius channels are misidentified in the app this morning. Ch73 60’s gold shows undefined Cincinnati Reds w the logo Channel 73 60’s Gold??? Other channels have the same misidentified issue pointing to other Sirius channels.
Posting here because I'm out of options through normal support channels and hoping someone from Sonos or the community can help.I ordered a bundle (Arc, Sub, 2x300 ERA’s) and decided to cancel the SUB before the order shipped. The SUB was cancelled before anything went out — but I was still billed the full amount, SUB included. That was back on July 15, and I still don't have my money back.Since then I've:Called support multiple times Sent multiple emails Been told every single time that it "takes 10–15 business days"That window has come and gone more than once now, and nothing has actually happened. No refund, no real explanation, no escalation — just the same scripted response on repeat. Thanks for reading the rant. Happy to share order details via DM to anyone who can actually help.
Hi , I have connected the Sonos Port to the enterprise network. However, after connecting the Sonos Port, the corresponding switch port is going into a disabled state. The IT team has raised the following questions: Is the Sonos Port supported on an enterprise network?Does the Sonos Port send or support BPDU? Could you please help us troubleshoot this issue and advise on the required switch configuration or any other network settings that may be needed?
Gracias
Love my new Sonos Play’s, and Alexa seems to working properly, except for one feature we love and miss in our household...All previous Sonos units support a whole-home intercom feature Amazon calls ‘Make Announcements with Alexa’ that we can trigger by saying“Alexa, broadcast: _____”https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GKACGU9SSBEYA2TX But Play alone seems to not support this very useful feature -- any plan to support it?
Hi!I own 2 Sonos 1 gen 2 since many years ago and I’ve recently been contemplating to buy 1 or 2 more speakers. But after digging around it seems Sonos 1 is no longer produced. If I buy for example era 100 will it give significantly different quality of sound that it will spoil the vibes when the speakers on or do you believe that it’s okey to mix and match different gen of speakers?
I have an Era 300 and a Roam Gen 1. The Era 300 doesn’t get used much any longer to its full capacity so am thinking of trading both in for a new Play.I did once have a Move but was too powerful for our small-ish garden.Any thoughts/comments welcome 😀
I know this has been probably been done to death, but how the do I just get my Beam to play a BBC Radio station via Alexa? I think I’ve done everything, set up Alexa in the Sonos app, enables BBC Sounds skill in the Alexa app and linked accounts. What I am getting;Me “Alexa, play BBC 6Music”Alexa “Playing BBC 6Music”Followed by silence or Me “Alexa open BBC Sounds”Alexa “(BBC Sounds open noise)..What would you like to hear?”Me “6Music”Alexa “Playing BBC 6Music”Followed by silence So close but so far! Any tips?
Why do my two moves fail time and time.again to work? So I hold the button for five.seconds to turn it off. Yet when I go to use it a week later the battery is half or more drained. When I try to set up Bluetooth in the right sun it's impossible to see the blue led, but more frustrating is it's failure to be recognized as a device when trying to play music. Maybe the new moves have solved these problems but I don't think I'd risk that they have. No new moves for me. Between the battery losing charge and the connection issues I'm done with this part of the Sonos system.
The adjustment shortcut is missing sub. I still need to go to the room settings and jump between EQ and SUB level.
We have the Lutron Smart Bridge Pro 2 with several picos, dimmers, etc. We’ve integrated the Sonos account inside the Lutron app and it has a green check. Inside of the Sonos app, we have turned on Sonos Voice Control for the Era 100 speaker. However, when I say … “Hey, Sonos turned main bedroom lights on” I am getting this error message from the speaker: to enable voice control for your smart home devices, activate the Home control feature on your smart devices app Things I’ve tried: both Lutron and Sonos are fully up to date, restarted the Lutron bridge, deleted and read added the Sonos integration to the Lutron app, deleted and re added voice control to the speaker inside the Sonos app. Note: The Sonos speaker currently accepts Sonos’s voice commands for music. It is just not controlling any of the Lutron lights via voice command.
I’m thinking about upgrading my old Play:1 speakers that I’m using for surround sound on our entertainment center. I’m considering ERA 100 and ERA 300. Be interested in anyone’s experience with such an upgrade to either product.
