Add an option to disable song announcements in Sonos Voice Control

Please add a setting in Sonos Voice Control that lets users enable or disable the spoken announcement before music starts playing.

Currently, when using Spotify, Sonos Voice Control announces the song title and artist before starting playback. With Apple Music, playback can start immediately after the confirmation sound.

It would be useful to have a simple option such as:

Announce song before playback

  • On
  • Off

Ideally, this setting could apply per music service.

Personally, I would prefer Spotify playback to behave like Apple Music: voice command → confirmation sound → immediate playback, without Sonos reading the track information aloud.

Since the Spotify announcement is already handled by Sonos Voice Control, this seems like something that could be exposed as a user preference.

I don’t use voice assistants myself, but I do agree that having SVC (Sonos Voice Control) work the way you suggest would be a great feature to have and would help make SVC feel a lot snappier to use, especially if you’re making multiple requests.
