I am about to buy a Samsung QLED with the black friday deals but want to make sure i can:a) connect to my sonos system (new play 5’s & sonos 1) … i have a sonos port if neededb) wont have serious latency issues? c) if there are major issues what tv do you recommend sony or LG 85”? i really dont want to have to buy an arc or playbar if i dont have to.
This is my first experience with Sonos, and I expect high-end customer service with high-end products like this. Last week I placed an order for a Beam on Sonos.com, they charged my bank account $400+ but my Sonos account shows no open orders. I'm a new customer so the account shows no orders, ever. Are they having trouble right now? I see the community comments that they only bill you when the item ships, as most other companies do. Anybody else having this experience?
Just bought a Sonos Move and tried to connect it to my Philips The One (PHILIPS 43" Smart UHD 4K TV 43PUS8535/12) thru bluetooth. The tv dont find the Move but find other devices(other bluetooth speakers). The Move is found by my mobile and my othe LG tv.Feels like there is some bug but anything I can do? Tried to restart and so on.
I’m struggling with Sonos since moving to the new app.i have a Sonos boost, which is hardwired into a ubiquity dream machine.i also have a play bar and sub since upgrading to the new app I can’t seem to connect to anything, the play bar and sub work fine with the tv, but I’ve no way of using the app as it just tells me it can’t connect. Any thoughts thanks michael
Hey. really keen on creating a surround sound system on my tv. Currently we just use the tv speakers but have a pair of stereo One SLs behind the couch. a few questions: If we added a Beam and connected the ones to it would it make a decent surround sound? could we still use the Ones SLs as a stereo pair for music? will the beam be big enough for the tv? is the beam future proof? I.e when we upgrade the tv to a 55inch, will I soon be wanting the arc? is it worth the purchase ya think?
It would be great to have a quick toggle button that would either join rear surround speakers for movie watching or separate them out when someone is using the TV for say video games. This would allow others in the room to listen to music. To do this now takes a ton of steps. Thanks for consideration!
I have read posts over 4 years old about sonos playbar not supporting Dolby Digital Plus. I find it amazing that sonos does not clearly state this or even better found a solution. If a conversion process is not possible then the conection mechanism should be changed to hdmi. I phoned sonos and the operatives are not really awarevof this issue. If sonos want to be in the 5.1 home cinema market this is a must!!!! I would like to see some meaningful response from sonos that addresses the issue and does not just fudge the ussue since it was first identified over 4 years ago on this site.
Sonos Port has been working fine. suddenly today it is not visible in the app. yesterday it was working well. My other speakers are connecting just fine. I tried rebooting by disconnecting and reconnecting the power. then tried a reset which initially looked successful. the port was reconnected briefly but would not play and then disappeared from the app. is there anything else to try?
Hello all. Is there a way to play music from my Marantz Melody X through my Sonos speakers without having to buy another piece of equipment ? Many thanks !
Hi - I have my Sonos beam connected to tv through ARC, and have also tried optical. Under both set ups the sound keeps skipping. I’ve switched hdmi cables, Wi-fi is strong etc but still happening. Diagnostics 1922675514. Can anyone please offer guidance? Thanks
We've had several occasions where we lost internet for a day or two (we live in the middle of nowhere in east Texas). We own 15 Sonos speakers and listen to them all the time. My favorite music source is my mp3 library stored on a NAS drive. When internet is down,, the network is still up but I can't connect to the controller and manage the music and the speakers. So my question is "When an SHTF event happens, (and it will), how am I going to still enjoy my thousands of dollars of Sonos speakers"?
Hi, I have 1 play5 using s1 android app and 2 play2 using sonos s2 app. Since this morning, i am not able to use both system. When i launched s1 it says that can t connect to sonos...i did reset it but same issue. I have a play 5 gen 1 that I bought a while back that wont turn on. Since I cant turn it on, its still connected to the sellers account, which means that I cant reset it. Is it still possible to use the trade up program for me even If I cant turn it on and connect it to my account?
Hello everyone Thanks for looking. Long post sorry. I need some help as I’m stuck. Here is my set up. Any questions or answers I would be grateful.I’ve set Questions in the post thanks. TV MODEL LG OLED65CX5LB (2020) OLED HDR 4K.Playstation 4 PRO, HDMI 1 (Changing to PlayStation 5 eventually, or New Xbox). BT Vision 4K HDMI 3.Sonos Arc HDMI 2 eARC with Subwoofer Gen 3 and rear 1s. (Note all HDMI1,2,3,4 settings are set to BITSTREAM and not PCM) Atm. TV Internal Apps ———-Straight to Sonos Arc from HDMI 2 eARC from TVI can successfully get Atmos (over Dolby Digital Plus on Netflix etc), and Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Digital depending on movie or show. For Atmos, the TV has has to be set to eARC button ON and the DTV Audio set to AUTO or PASSTHROUGH (Both Work) PCM does not work. Obviously this a lossy format of Atmos and better with Blu Ray or Hard Disk I suppose. Q1 I’m assuming Blu Ray players can play Atmos movies to this soundbar if not encoded in DTS OR DTS-MA or you could cho
Hi - If I’m music playing through multiple Sonos speakers, including Move, and then I take the portable speaker towards the end of the garden where WiFi drops out, will it automatically and seamlessly switch to Bluetooth and continue in sync with the other WiFi connected speakers in the house? Assuming I’m using the app on my phone and have that with with me…..Thanks, JH.
My zp90 is not booting, as soon as I apply power the white light flash very quickly constantly and never changes.i tried holding buttons down and applying power but no joy, my Simon’s one with Alexa doesn’t work anymore so assuming it’s the zp90 that holds everything together on my system. any ideas would be greatthanks
Checking my speaker in the Sonos app: Everything is listed as S1, including the new One speaker I bought that is advertising as compatible with S2. With the erroneous information I am receiving, how a I supposed to know if my subwoofer or playbase is compatible? Not only is the upgrade onerous. Its haphazard.
Considiring going for a Sonos Arc.My TV does not support eArc. Will I be able to get Dolby Atmos on a Sonos Arc through HDMI arc?If not - would my dolby atmos receiver with two 2 hdmi out do the trick?
Add an extra speaker for another room ?
Just received my Move. Unpacked, set up and now playing took under 20 minutes. No issues. On the charger while playing. And I just answered my own question I was going to post here. Yes it does charge while using Move (while charging). Sounds great so far.
With the new announcement of Sonos Radio HD, just checking in on people’s thoughts. Did you sign up for the trial? Will you keep it? How does it compare to others like Amazon, Tidal and Qobuzz? Is it in addition to? How to improve? Share please. Thanks in advance.
There seems to be some confusion out there with the need to move from S1 to S2 for Hifi streaming.I have 2 AMPs and 1 Connect that are older and can’t be upgraded to S2. I am using Amazon’s HD family plan and Radio Paradise’s new FLAC streaming services. ( Previously I used Deezer Hifi and Tidal as well) Is there any audio advantage to move to S2 (thus new equipment) to stream these service’s in FLAC/Lossless? It seems like S2 only helps with streaming HD music that is local? Thanks for any feedback!
Hi, I’ve seen a few questions pretty close to this but I’m a total novice and they weren’t super clear to me.I’m designing a new home theater experience and I’m looking to set up a projector. I think most of the time I’ll be streaming movies from Netflix or hbo or something so I want to equip the projector with a streaming stick, probably amazon fire. And to get surround sound I’m going to use the beam or arc.My understanding is that in order to use a projector with sonos I need an hdmi matrix. In layman’s terms I guess it is the equipment that allows me to feed in the source material and split out audio to one device and split out video to another device. In my case it would split to a projector and sonos beam.Where I’m getting lost is how I get a fire stick involved to watch streaming content. Can I also plug it into the hdmi matrix? And a couple really stupid questions… 1) if I have an hdmi matrix, I need to physically run a cable to both the projector and the beam, correct? 2) is al
I have a Sonos.Arc and two Sonos One speakers. I added a third Sonos One and it is not playing any sound. Any suggestions..
