Can't add Sonos Voice Control into Era 100, but Alexa works well.
I don’t have wired Internet to the flat only a wireless router can I still use voice assistant or does the Sonos system bar from connecting
I have no interest in streaming services at all. ALL I want to do is use my voice to get my sonos to shuffle play all the music on my NAS.That’s it. Simple. or it should be.I created a play list of all my music.I say ‘Sonos play [x] paylist’It bitches about not having a service connected?WTF?
Why does TunIn and even the New Tunin not work for local stations when you use Sonos Voice.I have tried everything for voice commands and it still won’t play local stations. Even tried the radio station frequency.
I’d like the ability to create and manage alarms via Sonos Voice Control.I know it can currently do timers, but I’d like to be able to create an alarm that goes off daily at a given time.
I’d like to be able to use Sonos Voice Control to ask basic math questions:“What’s 42 + 11?” “How many cups in 2 pints?” “How many metres in 200 feet?”
This day in 2025, Friday March 8th, the Sonos S19 Soundbar started playing all by itself. I wasn’t there to hear it but my wife was. My only choice was troubleshoot it (again) or remove it. It is a shame such an nice sound bar had to go.It starts by itself about once every 6 months. It usually responds to voice command by this time she could not turn it off by command and it eventually stopped by itself. We have it connected to a newer Sony 85" Bravia Core Television. We have an Alexa smart speaker nearby, also have DirecTV so there is a set top box (STB) connected. By the time I got to it I just unplugged it and removed it entirely. Problem solved. The only thing reasonable thing that I can imagine is that she likes to cover it with nick nacks, so even though the touch controls have been disabled (using the Sonos application with a Pixel 8a smartphone) there maybe some weird extraneous inputs on its frame somewhere that aren’t disabled. Or maybe Alex conspires to network into it
Sonos voice control should be compatible with Govee. It would make it way easier to be able to control my Govee lights with my Sonos. Or at least Sonos should have add google assistant back.
I purchased multiple Sonos products for the specific reason of being able to play music in multiple parts of my house. I love keeping my speaker in my bedroom and using voice command to play music—Sonos Voice Command is one of the reasons why I purchased this line. With that being said, I’m completely frustrated and feel very hopeless about ever having the option to lower the loudness of the voice command feature without compromising the music volume. It’s completely unacceptable that Sonos has to scream at me when I use voice command to simply play calming music at bedtime and subsequently wake other people up in the house. What a rudimentary, simple, expected feature to have on a product and yet here I am complaining in a discussion board with what appears to be many other frustrated customers where this issue has yet to be addressed. Feeling very frustrated, stuck and disappointed in Sonos as a brand, and rather regretful to have invested in so many products only to be stuck without
I currently use the Alexa Media Player integration for Home Assistant notifications, but I would really appreciate the ability to use my Sonos microphones to trigger automations in Home Assistant. Does anyone know if this functionality is possible?
Is there a way for my speaker to make a sound when it hears "Hey, Sonos" instead of after it responds to what I say? I want an indication that it heard me. Thanks.
Hi Team,Is there a way to ask Sonos Voice Assistant to play music from YTM (YouTube Music)? I already have YouTube Music added to my Sonos App and the subscription is also authorized. I just need to know what command I can use to do something like this:Hey Sonos, play XYZ playlist from YouTube Music Library
I’m new to any kind of smart speaker and have been given the Era 100 for my birthday. I have successfully set the speaker up using the app on my iPhone, and have added my Spotify and BBC Sounds accounts. I am having a problem with voice command: Hey Sonos responds to Spotify but not BBC Sounds. The app shows that my BBC account has been added to content and the speaker will play only live stations via the app, but Hey Sonos either tells me it can’t find the content, or plays Nigerian BBC Haus (!) or else some random music. Also, Sonos won’t tell me the weather forecast even though my iPhone shows my location settings correctly. Please can anyone suggest a fix? It’s very frustrating and disappointing! Thanks
How can I reduce the volume of the confirmation messages from SONOS when using voice command or switch off these confirmations completely? This is completely unacceptable or unusable as it is now.
Hello folks,I got an Era 300 from Amazon UK and an Era 100 from Amazon EU. Both shows “Voice Assistant Off” in my system. My Sonos account was registered to UK. How can I turn on the voice control feature? Many thanks!
Moderator edit:Google Translate- The Radio France service is registered and the stations are working but the voice control has not been working for a few days. The message asks to register the Radio France service (already done) then goes to white noise….a similar mention from another user.
Hello,I installed a new Sonos beam today but I found a very narrow bug. After installed the Sonos voice control on the Beam 2, and the Radio France service, I find it impossible to launch the “France Bleu Pays de Savoie” live service using Sonos voice control (SVC). Other channels work (France inter, Franceinfo...) and even the other local France Bleu channels work (FB Armorique, FB Alsace...). Just the only particular FB channel I need, FB Pays de Savoie, doesn’t work.SVC acknowledge the command, says “okay” or something but then I have the error chime and a message that this content cannot be found. On a side note, FB Pays de Savoie can be launched via the mobile app normally. But it refuses to be added to Sonos favorites.
I am trying to get Sonos Voice Control to use a specific music service profile. I have Deezer and PocketCasts set up, each with different user profiles. This post suggests I can append the profile name and ask it to play on the profile name. For example, if I have a Deezer music service with four profiles, one of the profile nicknamed “Blue” I should be able to do something like: Play Thunderstruck on BluePlay Thunderstruck on Blue’s DeezerPlay Songs by the White Stripes on Blue’s Deezer Specifying profile names isn’t resulting in a consistent experience. Can someone share any tips on how they use Sonos with multiple music service profiles? If anyone from Sonos could comment or update the voice control reference with further details on what is being parsed that would be helpful.
I added Sonos voice control since Alexa no longer worked to play live / terrestrial radio stations (which is what I’ve been doing for over 6 years!). is there a way for Sonos voice assistant NOT to yell “fantastic!” or “awesome!” in response to a command? or at least turn down the volume of those responses? It’s really annoying and disappointing, once again degrading Sonos user experience. Thanks.
Hi all,Hoping someone can help. I have the sonos arc ultra, roam 2 and three of the era 300 speakers. They all set up fine, connected to wifi etc, and Alexa works fine. However, if I try to add sonos voice assist I get an error message saying that there is “still a problem adding Sonos Voice Control.” This occurs on all devices. They are all showing up as connected to the WiFi. I’d prefer to use the sonos voice control over using Alexa for privacy reasons, and it’s really frustrating me! The app was only downloaded yesterday and is definitely OS S2. I’ve tried rebooting everything, mics are on, Alexa works perfectly. Not sure where to go from here. Thanks!Charly
I just started using Sonos Voice Assistant and I’m loving the ability to group rooms by voice. I have Groups set up like ‘Upstairs’ and ‘Downstairs’ which include multiple rooms. Can Sonos Voice Assistant recognize Group names? It doesn’t appear so, but I’m hoping others might confirm.
SVC does not have weather option
I just bought a Sonos Arc Ultra. Sonos Voice will turn on my Samsung S90C and will adjust the volume fine, but it won’t turn off my tv. I hear the chime that it recognizes the command, but it isn’t being communicated to the TV for some reason. Alexa has worse issues: it just says “I don’t see a device labeled TV.” I followed the general troubleshooting instructions:Plug/unplug check eArc check CEC uninstall Sonos voice and reinstallProblem is, after the uninstall and unplug, this actually made it worse: at first I could not get Sonos Voice to reinstall, then when it randomly did finally install, neither Sonos nor Alexa would work at all (mic was on, VC light was lit). I updated the network, and that made it so I can at least have VC for turning on, volume, and music. If anyone has any idea of how to fix this WITHOUT going through the generic troubleshooting steps again, I would love to hear it. Otherwise, not a major issue, treat this post as a PSA/bug report.
I have an Arc Ultra with 2 paired Era 300s in a Living Room system. If Sonos Voice Control is setup on the Arc Ultra, should enable it also on the paired Era 300s also or would this confuse the system?
