I'm sure the answer for this question is in this forum, but I can't find it:Our system was set up in 2015 and includes many products that only work with S1, eg: Connect, Connect: amp, Play 1, etc. My wife bought a Move and liked it so much she bought another, although unfortunately this time a Move:2. Am I correct that it is not possible to connect a Move:2 to a system using S1? If so, it's irresonsible that Sonos does not make that distinction clearer on its website, especailly for customers who may not be aware that 2 operating systems exist.
I own two Sonos Rams that will not turn on anymore after the battery ran all the way dead
I did a factory reset on my roam as the new app didn’t find it.After the reset when I try to connect it to my system it is on my product list but it says not registered so I can only use in Bluetooth mode at the minute.i have tried rebooting phone and router but still no joy. I have also tried rebooting the roam holding the power button for 15 secs
My Sonos Roam had a reset. It will go through setup but won’t link to my account so setup fails. On my Sonos account it is listed as linked to my account, but setup fails because it cannot be linked. Can anyone help please? Many thanks
I have been a loyal customer of Sonos for years, mainly because I think the sound quality is great, and I love the idea of a whole home system. I am at my wits end though with the awful software that is constantly glitching and cutting out in whichever room I’m in. I contacted support a while back and they suggested a mesh network might fix the problems. It didn’t. I was optimistic about the big new app update, but alas, the problems prevail.Aside from the home system, I have also owned a Sonos Roam, which has just about driven me mad. I bought this to come in clutch when traveling or outdoors, but it never ever works when I need it. It is the guaranteed buz kill, because I will foolishly go to use it to keep a vibe going, and it literally will not turn on. Or it will flash its red light that the battery is dead, even though it sat on a charger after the last use. I then spend countless time trying to get it to “re-charge”, then connect to my Bluetooth, which is a maddening proce
Does the Move 2 support charging through the USB-C port and if so what are the charging device requirements?
First time with Sonos, bought a move 2. Unable to connect the move 2 to the app. I have an account but saying that I not the owner
Just bought a Move 2. This wouldn’t set up because there is an update. Sonos app stops updating error 1014 comes up. I have rebooted router. All other systems fine in house. And, helplines closed an hour earlier than advertised. Please help. thanks a lot in advance
I’ve got a Roam, alongside a One, Play:1 and Connect. They are all updated, the Roam has a full battery. Everything connected to wifi. I use Spotify. So all should be honky dory. Only when wanting to use the Roam, it’s such a faff and requires patience, which really shouldn’t be the case. Example, from todayl. I turn it on, it appears up in the app. I add it to the speakers which are playing. Go back to the song, and it removes Roam (never played). Sometimes it comes on after a while. Today I switched all the other speakers off and use voice to get it to play music, and then added the others. Only it’s never really that consistent. Any tricks? Tips?
I have google nest at home will i be able to connect my move2 with that. if yes how can i do that
I bought a Sonos Roam in April 4 at retail BestBuy and I’m still waiting the Sonos Roam
Device setup issues and lack of customer support. Does anyone work on the support team?
This is long, but i think it’s emblematic of what is going on with the company as a whole these days. TLDR at bottom I picked up a brand new Sonos Move (Gen 1) yesterday from the source. Yeah it’s not the shiny new one, but it was a good price and is fine for the back deck and occasional beach days. This thing would not setup. iPhone, iPad, main network, guest network, nothing. Spent hours looking through trouble shooting docs and trying everything I’ve seen online. At one point i even spun up an SSID *without* security, NADA. So i decided to give Sonos support a call, strongly suspecting I had a lemon. Despite telling the support agent what i had already done to trouble shoot this device she made me do it all again. Fine, nbd, i expected it. Then she started making me do some truly random and nonsensical things. She said having a guest network was an unsupported configuration, and to turn it off- didn’t help. Then she said to split my 2.4 and 5 ghz networks, despite the move having
Greetings Forum-users👋 For the one’s that “are familliar” with me and my Sonos…i have now placed two Roam in my bathroom. I have been using them at grannys place but then i bought a couple of Ikea Symfonisk Lamp’s. Anyway….I have not been able to find a good spot for the Roam’s in the bathroom. I have placed them in a small window. They are set-up as stereopair just as an info. But(oh no,here he goes again😆😆😆) i’m not comfy with the sound(performance). Not that i’m suppose to creating a discoteque in my shower i think it’s a little doll. It might be that i should try move the Roam’s closer to the glass-corner where the shower is. For that i need some wall-mounts,and i’m pretty sure i’m not getting around the issue that i need to drill a whole in the wall for this mount to be. The Roam’s IS going to be ON the charger allways. Not gonna place them on this mount only when i’m in the shower. Then i start thinking: Why not try two Move’s(gen2) in stead. Buy two orginal Hooks and screw th
Initially YELLOW ,SONOS app.turned to black. And I could not see my set Sonos Roam SL previously registered.
Why does the Roam suck so bad? I have it plugged in and it still constantly drops the network and is impossible to get back online. Really thinking about ditching the whole system.
The orange light keeps blinking on my new Roam SL when plugged in and charging. The unit was 100% charged and then discharged to 90%, with first use. I then plugged it into my computer using the supplied USB C cable. The app shows charging and at 91% but an orange light is flashing. The website says the orange light will flash if depleted (see https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/charging-your-sonos-roam-or-roam-sl). It was not flashing when connected to a wall charger vs computer (5V/3A USB). So, what does the flashing orange light mean in this case? Also I can only find statements on how long it takes to partially charge the unit. How long does it take to fully charge the unit from 0% to 100%, say using a fast charger (i.e.full capacity)?
I have the original Sonos move and I want to add the move 2 and play my music through both speakers . What is the best way to do this . I tried earlier with the move 2 being added and I lost connection with the original move in my Sonos App thanks
How can I check whether warranty remaining on Sonos Roam I am considering buying? serial number given as A103 23 09 C D **************Moderator edit: serial number recorded and removed
My Sonos roam works completely normal other than the fact the status lights seems completely dead. It's less than a year old and is primarily used in the kitchen/patio. Its super frustrating trying to get it to power on correctly when I'm using it with Bluetooth because I never know it's on or off and just have to guess and go based off the on/off noise. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this with their roam?
My sonos roam keeps cutting out whilst listening to the radio. I listen to virgin radio that cuts out every minute for about 5 seconds. This also happens on the Global App. If you listen to BBC sounds or Spotify, all is fine with no cut outs. I have been in contact with the tech support and sent countless data back to them as well as countless resets. I have also contacted my Internet provider and switched the channels for both 5hz and 2.5hz for ones that have no interference. The firmware of my router was also updated.I personally think that this is an app issue as switching back and forth between the stations shows that there can be stability on certain ones.Any ideas?
HelloI was tempted to add this review/information/update to one of my previous topics on the Move 2. However, I feel that a report on battery life deserves its own piece for several reasons. The given or easily verified factors of the Move 2:Better sound with dual tweeters_No argument here Pass-through charging (tested and proven) Stereo Pairing in Bluetooth mode_Must be on home Wifi (tested and proven) Bluetooth gateway to other Sonos speakers (tested and proven) New optional color_Olive (my choice 😊)Battery life on the other hand is not so easily verified unless one is willing to test it. Sonos boosts a 24 hour battery use between charges starting at 100% for the Move 2 versus 11 hours for the original Move. Companies are notorious for exaggerating battery use between charges. Most often (or should I say always) they never divulge their testing parameters. Therefore, I decided to run my own controlled battery duration test.I’ll give you the test results up-front (borrowing a page fro
When I’m listening to my Roam on Wi-Fi using a music service such as BBC Sounds, the music stops every time my android smartphone receives a message. NB the phone is not actually being used to stream the music to the speaker - it just usually happens to be in the same room somewhere. It’s very annoying ! Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening ?
Hello,My sonos roam appears as switched off in the sonos app. I have tried to charge it via USB c câble and wirh thé wireless "triangle"...none of them worked. I alors tried to reboot but didn't work...Would you have any suggestion ? Thanks !
I went to use my ROAM the other day and it isn’t paired with app - can’t find it! Tried to connect it but NO. Haven’t changed router. Rebooted router, etc. as per the help sheets. My ROAM has the orange / red light at the bottom on or flashing. There is no response to the back button when it is pressed. No sound - chime to start or turn off. It doesn’t turn off! I can only get the orange / red light. Is the ROAM faulty? The app seems to be working - have started it a number of times and there is no change. I think it is the speaker itself. Any suggestions?
