You can only add two surround speakers to a Sonos home theater setup. I would use the Era 300s as surrounds with the Arc and use the One SLs...

Arc sound chop

When I change the volume, it's not smooth.  It goes out for like a 1/4 second between volume level steps.  Very brief, but annoying.  So if I hold the volume up on my remote, it doesn't transition smoothly.  It stutters so to speak.  Once I let go of volume button, it's fine. My beam never did that.  Anyone else have this issue?

Sonos surround system keeps cutting out

Sonos Beam hard wired to router at front with sub and 2 sonos one’s rear which keep cutting out.Also, keep loosing 2 Sonos 3’s in a separate room.Have changed routers, mix of hard/wifi connection - same issue keeps cutting out.  On the verge of scrapping and moving to another system as nothing has worked to resolve - any last suggestions?

Completely Reset System & App?

TLDR: Does anyone know how to COMPLETELY reset products and app? I had an internet outage on Saturday, but my provider didn’t post there was an outage until over an hour afterwards. I completely reset my router, and had to change the network name and information, everything, thinking it was my equipment. In the process, obviously my Sonos system (Two Beams, Sub, two Ones, Roam) wouldn’t connect. I followed the prompts of updating the system information, and they got caught in purgatory and wouldn’t update. I kept trying and nothing, they wouldn’t do it. Last night I spent over an hour with the Sonos support team on the phone, and after plugging in each product to my router, adding them back to the system (which still didn’t want to add many of them the first few attempts), my system is finally working, but my Ones are cutting out constantly, and they’re both within 15 feet of the router and have never done that before. Overall, I want to just completely wipe everything and restart like

Sonos Arc for Karaoke

Hi, I’m trying to set up the Sonos Arc with Apple TV and Behringer Flow 8 mixer to do some homemade Karaoke via iTunes on the Apple TV.  So far, I can Bluetooth the iTunes from the Apple TV directly to the Behringer Flow 8 mixer and blend in the vocals. The problem I’m having is when I output the RCA audio to the Sonos Arc. To do so.. I’ve bought of Amazon a small USB powered RCA to optical and then I use the Sonos Arc Optical adapter to HDMI cable to feed to the Sonos Arc. I then tell the Sonos Arc that I’m using a non e-Arc HDMI feed, but the Sonos Arc will not recognize the signal and in turn, there is no sound. I’m wondering if the problem exists because the RCA to optical signal I’m sending the Sonos Arc, does not include a video signal as well. or is there something else going on.. Note: I tested the Sonos Arc adapter and HDMI cable from the TV’s non e-arc plug to the Sonos Arc and it worked, so it's not that. Thanks :)

Secondhand Beam registered to another persons email - wont accept mine

I've bought a secondhand Beam and used my Router to connect using the S2 app. Once connected it automatically requests and update and won't let use my email account. I can't access the Settings to do a Transfer of Ownership, probably because it needs an update first.Any help or should I just call Sonos?

Sound Loss with Spectrum Cable

I have been having intermittent sounds loss to my system (sono beam, sub, two SLs) when watching TV via Spectrum cable.  I have swapped out HDMI cables, adjusted all sounds input and output settings on the TV, Sono system and the cable box, but it still persists. The sound works for about 15 min and then skips out for 1-2 seconds. This only happens with the tv, music has no issues. I submitted a diagnostic and got a ticket. Here is the number: 1776223067 Can someone please advise? Has anyone ever encountered this before?

Sub won't power on

i have been using my sonos sub for the past 2 years now and suddenly it won't power on. i have tried all possible options like changing the power cord, changing location, etc... but still to no avail. can somebody help me because this is really freaking me out.

Newbie setup help: through TV for both listening to music and TV watching?

HelloFirst-time-caller, and a first-time SONOS owner for 2 weeks now. I’ve had a look around this helpful community and not found what I’m looking for - please direct me to an existing thread if there is one. I wonder if I’ve bought the wrong setup, or haven’t figured out how to set it up to suit my expectations. I’ve replaced 2 big floor standing speakers and an amp - that I’ve had for 15 years. I’ve since gotten married and we have a 4 year-old, and now live in a tiny appartment. Even I realised the big speakers had to go… I mainly listen to music. This is through an Apple TV connected via HDMI into an old Samsung TV (that has no HDMI ARC, but an optical out). All of my music is through iTunes Match. I listen to music approx 20 hours/week. We watch TV too, mostly the 4 year-old. Sonos Arc cracking

After having my Sonos Arc, sub and two Sonos 1 SL surround speakers tonight the system started crackling and cutting in and out.  I have a Apple TV hooked up to a projector the a HDMI Matrix Switch.  The sound goes through the optical to HDMI adaptor and again has worked great for a few months till now.  I did submit a diagnostic report 1066721761. Would love help.  Have loved my system so this is frustrating to say the least. Mod Edit: Corrected typo for clarification

No volume on TV start-up

 Every time I turn my TV onthe volume is muted and silent on my Sonos Beam. Why is this and what needs changed so there is volume on start-up.

Problems with Nintendo Switch Surround Sound

First time poster here! I've been extremely happy with my Sonos Arc, 2 One SLs for surrounds and Sub 3 as a whole. I've recently realized that I had my setup running incorrectly and was only getting stereo PCM forwarded through my speakers, so I started changing a few things to get the best sound I can. Here's a summary of my setup:TV: LG CX (65") running latest firmwareSonos arc connected to eArc port with HDMI 2.1 cable. Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xfinity 4k cable box all connected to other TV HDMI ports with HDMI 2.1 cables.Arc, 2 One SLs, and Sub 3 all running latest firmware, as are the connected devices.TV settings: eArc is toggled on, audio is set to passthrough with all HDMI set to "bitstream."When I change the Nintendo Switch to surround sound in its settings menu, there's no audio signal detected at all. Choppy Audio from 5.1 Play 1's

I currently have the 5.1 setup with a playbase and am having issues with audio from my Play 1s. The audio skips every few seconds or so for everything (spotify, video games, regular TV, streaming).I have an ethernet cable plugged into the base and have the others connected via wifi. I have read through a few posts about remedying my issue but none have worked. I tried:Hard reset all speakersUnplug speakers and router then reconnectUnplugging eternity cable and restarting router then reconnecting ethernetIs there is anything else I can try?

Sonos Arc Placement: Directly Under TV?

Is this setup recommended?  The poster has mounted his Arc directly under the TV and pushed the soundbar forward so that none of the speaker is covered (here’s a pic). I’m having an Arc mounted on an MM540 Mantel Mount under a Sony 75” TV this week.  There’s a lot of ambiguity about the optimal setup.  On the Sonos Arc wallmount marketing page they say the Sonos must sit 4” below the TV.  On the installation page, one sentence says 4” below and a few steps down it says 5.5” below. Elsewhere (that I can’t put my hands on right now) I’ve seen it recommended that the Arc be 2” in front of the TV if it’s directly below it; which seems to be in conflict with the way this redditor set it up.I don’t have the luxury of mounting, trying it out and remounting if it doesn’t work, but would like to minimize distance between TV and Arc if at all possible.Thoughts?  Thanks in advance.

SONOS no sound

My SONOS was playing sound just fine but when a friend tried pairing with a SONY speaker I had, she inadvertently tried pairing it to my Sony TV which has my SONOS hooked to it. As soon as I canceled the attempt, my SONOS quit playing sound thru my TV. I have not been able to get it to work again. I’ve tried resetting the TV speakers to internal & then back to external. I’ve tried pushing the button on the back of the SONOS arc. I’ve tried unplugging the HDMI cable to the SONOS, waiting 30 seconds & plugging it back in. I’ve tried unplugging the HDMI cable to the SONOS, waiting for my TV to switch automatically to internal speakers, plugging it back in & waiting for my TV to switch automatically back to my external speakers, which it does but still no sound. I’ve tried unplugging the power to the SONOS, TV & DISH Joey, waiting 30 seconds & plugging it back in. I’ve tried resetting the Joey & the network connection. I have a SONOS Boost, but I didn’t try unpluggi

Sonos Arc, volume sync with Chromecast with google tv

Hi, i am having an issue with volume not syncing between normal stereo content and high res audio.I have an LG 55 nano90 2020 model. I work with a Chromecast with google tv. Chromecast is in hdmi stating higher refresh rate. And Soundbar is plugged into the eArc port. Chromecast is also directly plugged in with Ethernet.*Yes ALL my stuff is updated to latest software. (Computer nerd, build computers...have Plex server...)At first I struggled to get the Atmos or Dolby format to play. Was only getting stereo. Finally found setting in Chromecast to allow surround sound formats and also set tv to passthrough.*Other settings hdmi is set to bitrate and not pcm. I have tried turning eArc on and Off. Unplugged system so it could reset between swapping. I have tried to turn off and on the CEC settings in Chromecast and or tv to see if that would help...nothing.I don't know what else to try...i have fiddled with app settings but not much. I see there was remote setups but it doesn't pick up my C

Unable to Connect One SL System to Desktop after Wi-fi Network Changes

Hi, my Wi-Fi at work crashed and was not working correctly, we had to do a bunch of resets to the system, once I got it resolved, the Sonos system was unable to connect to the speakers or spotify, I determined that reconnecting the speakers would solve the issue after trying one so I set them all up on a new system via my phone. After that all the speakers were working and are able to play music but I can no longer find them on any of our register or office computers. Most of the desktops are using an ethernet connection, however our office computer has a Wi-Fi connection and was also not able to find anything with the sonos app. We do have a backup Verizon network that may have kicked in at several points, however I think its supposed to be the same network since we don't have to do anything on the computer to switch to it. Does anyone know any solutions for this issue, or would a Boost make it work again? Thanks!

Sonos 1 SL Stopped working

My Sonos One SL had been set up for 9 months and worked perfectly. Yesterday i went to use it and it was not on the menu for available rooms. I tried a hard reset and then to add it back to the network. It can be located and then the app tries to connect to the home wifi network it comes up with this message: “Your Sonos One SL has been added but may not appear in the system tab. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish set up from the system tab”. Once done it still does not appear on the system tabI have tried to add it back to the network by hard wiring it to the router but this also failed. Thanks for any advice given.

audio cut out

I have a beam that’s hardwired with my Ethernet cable and connected via HDMI ARC. Also have an Amazon Fire Stick 4K. I still get intermittent cut outs. But ONLY with Disney+ and HBO Max. Haven’t noticed that happen on Hulu, ESPN, Paramount+, Netflix, YouTube. PlayStation 4 or Apple TV.How do I fix this? Diagnostic # 693926820 Edit: not answered. Accidentally hit the check mark

Sonos not recognising Beam HDMI ARC connection using Sky Q box

I have moved house. Previously my Beam was connected to my Panasonic TV via a HDMI ARC. TV sound could be controlled via Panasonic remote, Beam also functioned as a speaker for music. In our new house, my Sonos sysem works fine with the new network. However, we have a Sky Q box connected to the TV via DHMI. Plugged in Sonos Beam into the TV HDMI ARC input. Sonos does not recognise this. Error message is “HDMI ARC not detected”. Tried diferent HDMI cables, turning things ON and OFF, disconnectiing the Sky Q box. Same error message. Any ideas?

Sub wifi not working, only hard wired works

My sonos sub refuses to connect to my sonos arc. The ARC and SUB are connected on the same network and will only connect to the ARC via hardware via my network and not via wifi.On the about system it says: Warning: Your wireless network will not support the use a sub or surrounds with the sonos Arc

Beam speaker popped?

Hi,Got several Sonos devices including an arc and a pair of ones in my lounge and a beam in my Kitchen, as well as several 1’s in my dinning room and hallway.its the beam that got the issue,When listening to any music with a bassy beat one of the drivers sounds like its popped as sounds distorted, this is a recent phenomenon, so i'm assuming its a blown/popped driver, is this repairable as i dont fancy parting with £399 to replace the whole unit.Ive never used it hard or all that much, as it was my main speaker in my lounge when i lived in a semi detached house and i was mindful of annoying the neighbours, anyone else had this issue?TIANeil

one for all universal remote

Hey everyone, trying to get a universal remote to work for my tv and beam.  Getting the tv to work was no problem, but the beam on the other hand has not worked at all with it. So I first tried setting the code supplied by the remote manufacturer for Sonos, but that didn’t work.  That’s when I found via google that I should set it up via the Sonos app.  Since I’m using the optical plug, it asks to setup the remote.  So I click through and it says I should just have to peer + volume, but that still doesn’t do anything.the remote was coded to work with the TV, it’s an older plasma so I don’t have an ARC hdmi plug.  Any thoughts on what to do?

Apple TV Match Frame Rate Audio / Lip Sync

New ATV 4K 2021 user here with audio/lip sync issue having to do with Match Frame Rate.My set up is ATV 4K 2021 -> Sony X900H -> Sonos Arc. All cables are 2.1 compatible.With Match Frame Rate On, I get a noticeable audio sync issue across all apps. The audio is in front of the video by approximately 2 tenth of a second but the amount seems to vary a bit based on the app, and video format (SDR / HDR / DV).If I turn Match Frame Rate Off, the issue instantly goes away and the sound remains in sync across the board.If I want to keep match frame rate on, I can get the audio and video in sync pretty close with the Sonos app through the lip sync setting by delaying the audio. However, given that the amount of delay seems to change a bit based on each app, that doesn’t seem like a viable long term fix.I've also tried the wireless audio sync calibration on the ATV but that didn't help.For now, I've just turned match frame rate off and enabled Cinemotion on the Sony TV to take care of the
