I am buying a FRAME TV with the One Connect box that connects to the Frame TV. I am also buying a Sonos Amp to connect via wire to 2 pairs of Sonance In-Ceiling speakers. Do I need to connect the AMP via HDMI to the One Connect box or can I use Wifi, understanding I may need to sync the sound with the TV due to the latency caused by the WifI. I simply do not want to have to put the amp in the in-wall box behind the tv, rather have near the router. Will this setup work? Are there any pitfalls?

It’s been working fine for over a year and a half and now it is silent and the app tells me it’s not recognised, i can get audio by turning pass through off in my TV (LG A1 OLED) settings but don’t want to have to do that every time as this makes my other devices play in pcm instead of atmos. it’s a Sonos arc with Play 1s as rears and a sub mini.   

I have an Arc/Sub/One/One SL setup.  Because their is no bluetooth function in Sonos Arc to stream, I use my laptop to play music and stream to my Roku which is the only way to connect.  I want full stereo coming from the speakers I paid for and not ambient.  Since the signal is coming from Roku/TV and not some Apple/Google device, Sonos thinks it’s a tv signal when it really is a music signal and I want full stereo in my two One’s which are my rear surrounds.  It’s been quite difficult to play my flac files and such, but this is the perfect work around with a Roku until I purchase a NAS.  If you know how to force a music or tv playback let me know!  This should be an option.  What about live music shows for a party and you are stuck with a weak ambient signal coming out of your surrounds when you really need full playback in stereo?  I know Sonos just wants you to buy more speakers but I’m not putting multiple sets of speakers in the same room, except maybe another sub!  Don’t get me

Hi everyone, I recently purchased the Sonos error 300. I have been looking and reading at a lot in the forums that are suggesting to put the rear speakers at ear level. I was hoping to save some square footage and potentially mount them higher on the rear wall about 5-6 feet from the back of my couch and invert them, but I had questions about this affecting the sound quality of the home theater.  I'll attach some photos for some advice. I did ask a Sonos tech support directly, and I save the screenshot here, but it seems that the sound quality should not be affected. Thoughts?  

I am getting a Hisense class U7 tomorrow.  It has 2  2.1 HDMI ports.  I also got an 4 port 8k switch.  I will be using all 8k cables.  Just want to make sure I run a cable from the earc on the TV to the Sonos arc. Then run another cable from the other 2.1 hdmi port on the tv to  the output on the switch.  Finally run 8k cables from the switch inputs to the Apple TV, PS5, and Xbox Series X.  Appreciate anyone’s advice.

HiI have an Arc (+ 2 Play:1 as surrounds). The Arc is currently hardwired (it was on WiFi but I just wired it to see if it improved things… it didn’t). Both TV audio and music playback is generally fine. I only have an issue if I group the Roam with the Arc (the Roam is about 6m away from the Arc in the kitchen area and allows whoever is cooking to hear TV audio without having to turn the Arc up crazy loud).The sound just constantly drops in and out on the Roam when grouped like this, maybe every 10 secs or so.I have both 2.4 & 5Ghz networks with Unifi AP’s. Roam is currently connected as below on 5GHz. I have read about issues with Unifi kit & Sonos, but in general it is working fine for me, except for this grouping.  I have set the networks to use STP rather than RSTP as I read this was preferable, otherwise I have done no tinkering with default settings on the Unifi network.Any suggestions on improving performance gratefully accepted! Up until yesterday, my Arc was working fine. But when I turned my setup on today, nothing. No sound from the Arc. I am using an older Sharp TV so I am using an HD Fury Arcana to separate the audio as I was only getting stereo pcm from the tv. This setup has worked fine for about the last two years or so, until tonight. i haveSharp 65” tv. Virgin TiVo.chromecastBluray player. the devices go through an HDMI switch before getting processed by the Arcana. It outputs display to the TV and eArc to the Sonos. I am also using a Harmony hub universal remote to control everything.The Arc still plays stuff over the WiFi, such as BBC radio and Spotify so I know the speakers work. I noticed when I use the remote, it will turn the volume down on the Arc but it won’t turn it back up? I’ve tried the usual fixes, turning off, checking connections and cables, swapping them round, even plugging the TiVo direct into the Arc. Hi guys,I am really sorry if this question has already been asked.I moved to an apartment where there are already ceiling speakers.On my side, I already have Sonos Beam2, Sub Mini & two Sonos One used as surround.I have two questions:In the current set up, is it worth buying the Sonos AMP and connect the 4 ceiling speakers (not as surround) but as extra speakers?    I have one ceiling speaker in a different room. If I get the amp, would I be able to play music on the existing set up (Beam, Sub, surround + 4 ceiling) and different music on the other ceiling speaker? Thanks very much in advance!!

We have a surround sound set up named Livingroom  (Playbar & 2, Play:1). Until about 2 months ago, even when our TV was off we were able to connect to Livingroom, to listen to music. Now, when the TV is off, Livingroom shows "Unable to Connect" in the Sonos app so we are not able to use it just for music anymore even if we turn the TV on....it has an auto off so, eventually, Livingroom disconnects.Can this be resolved? TIA!

Hello, Objective:have both tvs playing the same content from the splitter and only having sound come out if the main tv with Sonos arc connected.  setup:-hdmi  splitter connected to 2 Samsung TVs on output input is from media box (shield)-main tv has sonos arc soundbar connected to TV’s earc input.  problem:-with current setup the sources on the main tv with the Sonos arc keeps switching on its own-sound switching between tv speaker and receiver (Sonos arc) on tv sound output -sometimes when switching back the source on the main tv the second tv that it’s split to switches sources on its own.   ——- I don’t need cec control, simply want both to mirror on both TVs but have sound come out on main tv Sonos arc without switching sound output from tv speaker and Sonos arc and without switching tv sources on it down.  thanks in advance 

I just got a Sonos Arc and a pair of One SL Shadow.  Can I pair them together for use as a surround sound system?  I got some kind of error message that since the Arc is Dolby Atmos, any surround speakers have to have the same feature, i.e.  Era 3.  Is this true?

It’s a small room,probobly 2.5m x 4m…full height(210/220cm) on half the sealing,other half dropping and on that side where the roof is lower to the floor(around 100-110cm) there is the housing of a staircase between first’n secound floor making it smaller on the side my head will be in the bed(the wideness). Idk if this is usefull info but now you get an idea of the room.There is a cabinet(pretty high…perhaps 120x180x40cm) witch my LG 32” and the Ray is placed.The issue/problem is:I think the bass from the Ray is from the front(of course it is…) given me no other alternative to lower it to -4 in the EQ. Can I downgrade a sub Gen 3 to the S1 app

I have tried every setting in the Samsung s95b audio and sonos app and Apple TV and still cannot get the audio to sync! I got the arc from Costco so wondering if it’s a hardware issue or the default/included hdmi cable that’s the issue?  HELP ME

I’m facing this issue only from last few weeks. All I get is stereo pcm when watching 5.1 content. No issues with Atmos content. Samsung qn90 with Apple TV 4K, Arc, Sub, 300s. Arc is connected via hdmi eArc to my tv. Apple TV audio is set to Auto/Atmos.  Sound is not right when I change Apple TV audio to ON ( I hear voice from surround and not from Arc).

Hi all!I know that the Sonos Arc, by itself, is a 5.0.2 system. If I were to pair two Era 100s as surrounds, would the system still be 5.0.2 (taking the two surround channels from the Arc), or would the system become 7.0.2?That would affect how I place them: 90-110 degrees off-axis behind me for 5.0.2, or even further behind for 7.0.2.Thanks!

There is a bug in Sonos’ home theater sound bars wherein mono Dolby Digital 1.0 and DTS 1.0 tracks play back as silence. I’ve experienced it personally on a Gen 1 Beam. A quick Google search shows multiple reports of the problem on these forums as well as on Reddit. I believe the problem persists on the Gen 2 Beam as well. The bug is easy to reproduce-- Play back any 1.0 encoded Dolby Digital or DTS source through a normal ARC setup to a Beam or other Sonos soundbar  Confirm in the Sonos app that the Beam is receiving TV audio and note that app displays the correct flag (e.g. “Dolby Digital 1.0”) Note that no sound plays back from the Beam.A workaround to the problem is to change the TV or BD/DVD Player to output as 2.0 PCM instead of bitstream, but again, this is not a fix so much as an inconvenient workaround, and requires the end user to change the setting back after viewing mono content so that future surround content is handled properly.Furthermore, I’ve confirmed this is a bug in

Sonis Ones in living room hard wired on the walls are not being detected so cannot use them the Sonos Beam connected to the TV works fine for TV and for playing music. How do get the Sonis Ones working?

Think I found answer to why Sony remote doesn't work with Sonos. On your remote, tap the wrench button to get to Quick Settings. Then go to Bluetooth. In Bluetooth setting, turn it off and now the remote volume will control the Somos speaker. 

Ik have a LG Oled65CX3LA that I want to Work with a Sonos Beam gen2.I plugged the Beam in the eArc-port of the tv, changed the needed settings of the tv and have sound, but when I come to the tv-installation I get the message ‘ the arc-mode is not connected and the remote doesn’t change the volume.On the tv I even set the HDMI2-port to a soundbar, but Sonos is not listed in the options offered to choose.On internet Philips was told to choose, buy that doesn’t work.What van I do?

I have an LG C3 TV, a Sonos Arc, and a Sonos Sub Gen 3. Earlier today I factory reset all of these devices and started from scratch. I started by connecting the Arc to the TV and using video/audio content from the TV itself (antenna or TV apps). In this situation everything works as expected (audio is being passed through to the Arc, and I can use the volume +/- and mute buttons on the TV remote to control the volume of the Arc.I have two other HDMI devices that I would like to connect to the TV, a Samsung Blu Ray player, and an AppleTV 4k. As soon as I plug in the HDMI cable for either of these devices into the TV, I lose the ability to control the Sonos volume using the TV remote (or the other connected device remote).For example: If I connect the AppleTV and use the volume controls on the Apple TV remote, I can see it “changing” the TV volume via the TV interface (which has no effect since sound is coming through the Arc), but the volume changes aren’t passed onto the Arc. From time to time we get a loud chirp out of our speaker(s) while streaming movies through our TV via our ROKU Ultra. I sit closest to a Sonos 5 so it’s a bit startling when, out of the blue, a chirp occurs. I’ve posted this before and the support staff, based on my previous diagnostic, had me reset the 5 that is closest to me. Well, I’m still getting the chirp.If a Moderator sees this, my diagnostic for this incident is: 1514047738

Sonos beam has audio interruptions/cuts out. I rebooted tv and speaker. Still having issues.How do I fix this. 

I have this week moved from Sky Q to Sky Stream using the puck . I also have a Sonos Arc which has had in the past  the usual sound delay problems which I successfully corrected using the amazing HD Fury Arcana device . I was previously watching UHD through Sky Q with no no sound delay issues . After  switching to Sky Stream I’m now faced with one of 2 options 1.no sound delay and not being able to select UHD2.Sound delay removing HD FURY  and seeing UHD .  The problem seems to be that Sky stream want you to connect the puck straight to my Panasonic TX-DX750B. If I route through the HD Fury it won’t allow me to select UHD ( screen just flashes ).  Maybe a different question but if I had an eArc enabled TV would all these  problems go away and there would no time delay issues and I could attach my puck straight into the tv and not through the HD fury . Thanks very much having read all this it’s probably better I post it on a sky community but I thought others should know about this .
