surround sound

I have a beam and added two additional speakers.   When I play music I can hear my surround sound.  
 

but when I am watching tv I don’t hear surround sound.  Only hear sound out of my beam.  What am I missing.  
 

Lg tv 

Beam connected to tv 

Everything is else is wireless.
