Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I guess it is by design as it has always done it but has always updated correctly.  Is that just bad design or what?

I have a Arc Ultra and Sub 4 arriving this week.  what are my best option for adding surround speakers in this room.  the house came with 5.1 ‘pre-wired’ but i don’t think the ceiling locations are optimal.. Would you pick #1 (ceiling rough-in), #2 (end tables era 100) or #3 (era 100 on wall).  or suggest other options?  thanks 

I'm suggesting a redesign of the web based controller with a new (ok, really old) interface.Just grab an old CR-100 and duplicate the design as a web page.Simple, distinct buttons for every feature and not at all confusing. Sonos CR-100 Controller 

My home theater setup is Philips 55inch tv, Ultra Arc, sonos Sub and 2 era 100 speakers for the rear. Since the problem with the arc and apple tv working together with atmos with my 10 year old tv, Im looking for a replacement for my tv. I have had it with resetting all the time for good sound. Only…..every where I look there seem to be a problem with the Arc and the Apple TV together for using Atmos and sound in general.  Is there a recommendation for a good 4k tv where they all work together smoothly?

Originally had my Play 1 speakers running under Sonos 1 Controller.  Wanted to use my NAS instead of my local drive for storing music.  Existing Windows app doesn’t support SMB2 so I decided to install the latest version (Sonos_90.0-77070.exe).  Said my product (Play 1 speakers) were not compatible yet the website says they are.  Suggested resetting the speakers.  Did that, both are flashing green.  Every time I run the application installer it only offers me connect to existing system or learn how to never create new anything.  Connect to existing results in can’t find any products.  As such, it never actually installs the app.How do I install my speakers as if I just bought them from the store because right now, I get no such option.  It only offers connect to an existing system, which now, doesn’t exist because I reset the speakers.  Before resetting the speakers, it said no compatible products were found and to install Sonos 1 controller instead.What’s the deal?

Hello Sonos Community,I’m looking for some advice on the ideal wall-mounting locations for a pair of Era 300s that I’ll be using as surrounds with my Sonos Arc in my open-plan living area.Current setup:Sonos Arc mounted under the TV TV located on the top wall of the attached floor plan Planning to add a pair of Era 300s as surrounds No Sub (yet)I’ve attached my floor plan for reference.A few things that may affect placement:The living room is part of an open-plan kitchen/dining area. The main sofa will be facing the TV in the living area. There is no rear wall directly behind the seating position. There is a bulkhead above the kitchen cooktop that houses the air-conditioning system.Thanks in advance!

On this weeks iOS (April 26)  update the A-Z listing down the left hand side of the screen  for “Songs” has disappeared (from Local Library)It’s still there for Artists and Albums

Both systems ethernet from spectrum to sonos amp and connect gen 1System 1: laptop via 3.5 mm headphone out to rca in on EQ into sonos amp into Mythos 5 passive speakers also definitive tech powered subwoofer controlled seperately by EQSystem  2 connect gen 1 to EQ to chartwell passive speakers...velodyne powered sub controlled seperately by EQProblem:...when I attempt to switch from Sys 1 to Sys 2….EQ on system 1 stays on and sys 1 subwoofer stays on...can not control through app or laptop...what am I doing wrong...thanks..!!!

Please share any eArc hdmi splitters that worked for you. Everyone was talking about Arkana, I’ve tried it, payed 400 usd with taxes, then spent several weeks trying to fix sound interruptions, changed tons of cables, trying all recommendations, but had to give up on that one and now looking for other options.There are plenty opt of hdmi splitters on Amazon, so would be great if anyone had success with any and will recommend.Thank you!

I’ve had my Beam 2 connected to the ARC port of my TCL 65S425 for a while without issues and then I broke everything and can’t fix it. The volume controls for my universal remote were really slow and didn’t always work at all, so I decided to set up the remote with the Beam over IR. Seemed to work fine for a little bit - I don’t seem to have a way to make the TV stop responding but it didn’t really matter. Then maybe just a few days in, it started resetting the volume to 15. Restarted, unplugged, etc., the TV and the Beam several times in different orders and looking through every menu I could find for help and nothing. I couldn’t find a way to undo the remote setup. Eventually I decided to do a factory reset on the Beam, and it’s still there blinking green at me like a demonic sob. It’s still in my app as ‘Not Connected’ and I don’t see a way to actually wipe it AND when I click Add Speaker or Component, nothing happens. Also I have a sub mini which now says Speaker Missing From Ro

I am wondering if anybody has had problems with the Sonos app occasionally disconnecting while it plays music, from both Spotify and Apple Music.   I submitted a diagnostic to Sonos, but the rep on my subsequent chat did not have a definitive solution.   He suggested I phone CS, because they have better diagnostics.I tried disconnecting my wireless speakers on a hunch, but the problem recurred after that.   Could these glitches be on the Sonos end?   Has anybody definitively solved these?    Thanks.
