Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Can SONOS create the ability to create a playlist and add songs? Like Spotify, etc. Or is that an option I don't know about?

I’ve had my Sonos units for some time - in those years I’ve had to go through the whole reboot router, system and all speakers maybe 3 or 4 times, which is a pain as I have them mounted near the ceiling in my warehouse, which means moving the ladder around and climbing up and down, holding some combination of controls, unplugging/plugging, etc.  Today I opened the Sonos app on my Mac, and it can’t find any of my speakers - I’ve updated the app, no joy -  The speakers are all present in my airplay selector, so maybe that's the best to use them. But I just discovered that the Sonos web interface has all my speakers and favorites and works great - but not the app (again) - which tells me that they are all working, and everything necessary to operate them exists somewhere. Why is this so hard? It’s the main reason I steer friends away from Sonos - 

I recently purchased a stereo pair of Fives, and a couple months back a stereo pair of Era 100s.   I first noticed the issue on the Fives that Trueplay had turned off (not by me and I am the only one using the app, etc) and the EQ settings had gone to 0 and loudness off also.  Then I noticed this was also happening on the Era 100s., but no other speakers throughout the house, and there are a few.  At a suggestion by someone on reddit, I factory reset the Fives and set everything back up again yesterday (set the two as stereo pair, performed trueplay, set the eq and turned loudness on).  Today, the same issue occurred.  Trueplay was off, EQ back to 0, and loudness off.  WTH!?  Kind of annoying.  Is anyone else having this issue?, because to me it seems like an issue with the app,. and I really, really hope not a hardware issue since, of course, I dropped a good buck for these speakers.

Hi,I have play:1’s, a play:3 and Playbar.I have the Sonos S1 app controller for these.I wish to add another speaker but can no longer buy play:1’s as they are discontinued.If I buy the Era 100 Sl or Era 100 can I add these to my existing set up (ie will they all be compatible with each other [the old and new ] and which app will I be able to use to control them all - the Sonos S1 app or the Sonos app? thanks in advance  

I set up alexa, it works. Next day it doesn't. It goes on and on.... Driving me mad. It just does no respond to the voice despite being set up in the app properly 

In the Sonos iOS app, scrolling generally freezes in the volume slider window.   This probkem seems worse on the iPad than on tne iPhone.   Resettng the app, clearing the cache, and rebooting the device did not solve the problem.   Luckily, scrolling the volume sliders still works in the Mac app.

Hello everyone, I’ve recently set up a new Sonos home theater system and I’m experiencing some issues that I’m hoping to get help with. My setup:Sonos Beam (Gen 2) connected to a Samsung OLED S95C via HDMI eARC Beam is also connected to the router via Ethernet (CAT 8) where my Download speed is 115mbps & Upload is 23mbps 2 × Sonos Era 100 configured as surround speakers Sonos Sub Mini Additional 2 × Era 100 configured as a stereo pair placed to the left and right of the soundbarIssues I’m facing:I’m experiencing intermittent audio dropouts, mainly from the soundbar (Beam), where the sound cuts out for about half a second. The issue occurs only with TV audio (apps, TV channels, and console connected to the TV). When playing music directly from the Sonos app, everything works perfectly with no dropouts. I sold my Sonos beam gen 1 and the new owner cannot activate it. I have performed a factory reset three times, but still not working.

I’m reaching out for some clarification on the recommended network setup for our Sonos system, as we’ve been experiencing some stability issues and want to make sure we’re configuring everything correctly. Our setup:• 15 speakers across 3 floors (~1,500 sqm)• Mix of Play:1 and Sonos One• UniFi network with RSTP enabled (we do not want to turn this off just because Sonos only works with STP) We’ve tested a few configurations and are seeing conflicting results: 1. All speakers wired (Wi-Fi disabled)• This caused STP loops on our switches• We’re unsure if Wi-Fi is truly disabled, or if speakers are still communicating via SonosNet in the background 2. I have had a Beam with Ones in a stereo pair working rock solid for a few years. I also have a Five and a Move 2 and have had no issues at all. I’ve just added 2x Era 100s and a Sub mini to my setup. The Era 100s are in a stereo pair with the sub in one room (my office)At least once a day, the stereo pair drops/breaks down, with music just coming from one Era 100. The only way i can get it back together is to power cycle the speakers. I use the Sonos app mainly to play music but occasionally use Airplay and my Connect+Turntable. I’ve not noticed any cause+effect with the chosen source and stereo pair drops.My office has the router located in it, so the wifi signal is full strength. I have no other issues with my network or speakers.Any ideas why this is happening and how i resolve it please?

I am streaming with a hardwired (1Gb/s) Nvidia Shield Pro passthrough to a TCL 65QM851G TV. My new Sonos Arc Ultra is plugged into the eARC port of the TV and the TV is set to passthrough to the Arc Ultra. I also have a pair of ERA100’s for surrounds. The Sonos gear is connected to a 5G wifi network. The system plays/streams PCM stereo content with no issue but when I stream any type of Dolby content (Dolby Atmos or Dolby Plus 5.1) it plays awesome for about 5 minutes then the sound starts to drop out very briefly about every 1-2 seconds. If I pause the stream for a couple seconds and restart it, the cycle repeats, 5 minutes of awesome sound then the dropouts restart. What can I do to rectify this issue?

Hi! I work in a restaurant that has two different rooms where we normally play two different playlists. Normally thats not a problem but we have recently had a message saying “playback from Spotify was stopped because playback was started from another room or device. Spotify limits the number of simultaneous audio streamsyou can access from its services” but that has never been an issue in the past. Is there a way i can fix this? We use Ipads as our music control and our sono’s app to decide the playlists.  Thanks

Hi everyone. Just a quick question. I watch streaming channels Netflix, Disney, etc through a 4k Apple tv connected to my Sonos system, arc, 2 era 300's, sub mini. When I am not listening to Dolby Atmos it normally shows on the sonos app as pcm multichannel 5.1, I have found setting  it to Dolby digital 5.1 on the Apple box sounds louder & clearer but they recommend the other. Would be very interested in your thoughts & help. Many thanks.

My Ikea/Sonos Symfonisk keeps disappearing from my sonos app every day. Any Help?I have to manually unplug it and plug back on daily to sync with the rest of my Sonos system.  I have updated everything, reboot everything even re-connect and recalibrate the entire system via Ethernet cable and only works for 1 day, and the following day it all disappear all over again.Additionally it drops from the sync multiple times during the day, Any idea to remedy this issue? 

A while ago I created this post: This is still a problem. For several games, if not all games, the volume is not how it should be. In the game Metaphor, dialoge form the sides are much louder than from the center. In other games, certain sounds seem too loud. These problems are especially bad when using Dolby Atmos on PS5, but also a problem in Linear PCM, in some cases just as bad like with the Metaphor example. I have tried several combinations without luck. This is not an issue with the TV or PS5 because this is not an issue with the TV audio. I am using passthrough on the TV and device type soundbar on PS5, but tested multiple combinations. Do I have a faulty Arc Ultra? I’m only using the Arc Ultra with my LG C4 TV, no sub or other speakers. I find it odd I can’t find anyone else reporting this. Edit: I think the

Hello all.I have my mac mini connected to my bravia tv with hdmi and i have the tv connected to sonos amp over line in. When i play the movie my speakers connected to sonos amp give a lag of sound approximately 2-3 seconds. At the same time when i disconnect tv from sonos amp and play the sound through tv speakers it is perfectly synchronized. Anybody knows the reason why? Is it my tv giving the lag or is it sonos lagging?
