On this weeks iOS (April 26)  update the A-Z listing down the left hand side of the screen  for “Songs” has disappeared (from Local Library)

It’s still there for Artists and Albums

Ah well. We’ll look into it. Thanks for making sure, @ainsley002!

Have you also got the issue with Imported playlists not playing? This wasn't this update but happened a couple of updates ago.

2nd level Sonos support have told me its a known issue but no timescale for a fix.

Hi @ainsley002 et al

We are sorry to hear of this issue you are having with the A-Z picker not showing at the side of the Songs listing for Music Library.

Could you all please report your iOS device model and iOS versions here, as well as submitting a diagnostic report from the same device? Thanks. Please do not share the given number here, but please say here when you have completed the process and I’ll be able to find it (assuming you use the same account here as on your Sonos devices).

HI, thanks for the response Corry, much appreciated.

Mine is an iPhone Air and the iOS version is 26.4.1

I’ve just submitted the diagnostics (13:23 UK time)

Thanks, @ainsley002 - I’ve forwarded that on for inspection.

@MoPac, @Mangoe - Could you please also follow the steps in my previous post? More data will be more helpful. Thanks!

Something I did spot when looking on my Android phone, @ainsley002, was that the A-Z Picker only showed up once I had already started scrolling down the page - could that be why you don’t see it, perhaps? I just want to make sure, just in case it’s as easy a fix as that.

I was hoping it was that easy but sadly not 😊

IOS:  Scrolling did not bring up A-Z.

A little annoyingly, todays updates didn't fix this or not being able to play local library imported playlists via the iOS app (an unwanted present from the update a month or two ago).

Hi @ainsley002

Today’s update was likely compiled and ready for release before the issue reported here was even raised.

Fair comment😊. The issue with imported playlists is a longer term thing, however, that 2nd line support are aware of

Hi @MoPac & @Mangoe

My colleague was unable to reproduce the issue reported here and is still awaiting further diagnostic reports to be submitted. If you’d like this issue to be investigated, please follow my earlier steps:

Just in case anyone was getting excited, todays update (12.5.26) doesn't address either of these issues 😒

Hi @ainsley002

I’m afraid that is because when I asked for diagnostics from anyone affected here on the thread, you were the only one to respond. We were unable to replicate the issue ourselves, so we were relying upon getting diagnostics from those who could.

As this thread is the only thread that I know of in relation to this issue, and as there are only 3 people reporting the issue in total, it seems rather likely that the issue may be local in nature. Please try a restart of your iPhone, if you have not done so already in the intervening time.

I hope this helps.

Screen size varies from model to model. I wonder if the issue is related to screen width.

Confirmed here as well.

I’m confused about this report. The A-Z index appears on the right side of the screen for the Artist and Album listings. Not on the left side. But I also do not have an index on the Songs listing. I’ve never looked at the Songs listing before, so couldn’t say if it ever did.

This is on an iPad and iPhone 15 Pro Max  iOS 26.5, Sonos ver 85.00.31. So maybe not based on the size of the screen. Possibly the size of the library?

The index scroller arrows do appear on the Songs listing on the Android controller ver 85.00.31. (On the right hand side of the screen).

Ok, Done. 😀

iPad Air (4th gen) and iPhone 15 Pro Max both on iOS 26.5. Diagnostic submitted from the iPhone. The email address used here is same as the sonos account.

Ditto for me. iPhone 14pro running latest IOS and today’s Sonos App update. A-Z showing for all local library options except for ‘Songs’. Diagnostic submitted from iPhone. Email address here same as Sonos account.

I’ve done multiple restarts of the phone for various reasons over the last few weeks so it’s not that. The only thing I haven’t done is to delete the Sonos app and reinstall so I might try that.

I’ve also wondered if it was maybe to do with the size of the Library? My local Library is around 50,000+ tracks which, although it’s well within the Sonos limits, could be upsetting the app maybe? However, having said that, I’m not aware of this being a problem previously.

I have a lot less than 50k tracks.

If you touch the long edge of the screen does the index appear?
