Hello @Billaswell, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue controlling your two different Sonos systems.

It is not clear to me from the information you provided, what your current setup and situation is. Are you connecting both systems to the same EQ? What are you trying to achieve?

If you can please provide us with a bit more information/details so that either me or other Community members can provide assistance.

Thank you in advance.

A Sonos system doesn’t stop playing simply because you switch to another app.  It is meant to keep playing regardless of what you do with the Controllers used.  If you are switching from the S2 app to the S1 app and wish to stop the music on the S2 system, you must physically pause/stop the music by hitting the Stop button in the S2 app.

Questions…

Do you actually have two Sonos Systems or are you referring to two Sonos Rooms?

Are both Systems as you call them running through the same standalone equalizer and then out to the respective amps?

If running a S1 and S2 system are both passing through the same equalizer as mentioned above?
