Will there be further improvements to the EQ settings of the Sonos Ace? Perhaps more customization including bass and treble? Also will there be any on headphone dolby atmospheres/Spatial Audio like the AirPods Max?
I just noticed the latest update for the Android App to 80.18.23 and upon launching it then invoked the update of each Sonos device to OS Version 84.1-63110. Unfortunately the new App hung at the “Finishing update” stage. I left it for 30 minutes and nothing happened but the spinning wheel. The Android App and the devices are all reporting that they are at the correct level now so I presume it hung whilst cleaning up but it doesn’t fill you with confidence.
Update 03/31/25This issue has been resolved for iOS with update 80.18.25😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊Part OneYou can continue reading for the complete story or skip to Part Four for latest news. In Part Three you’ll find news from Sonos Tech Support (STS) with a suggested work-a-round with promise of a final resolution to come later. As the title indicates you may find that the balance slider is not working on your Sonos Amp under certain configurations. Meaning that there’s no change in audio position. The slider still appears as white (active) and not greyed out (inactive).I have two Sonos Amps used as music devices only; both setup with Sonos subs and 3rd party speakers. Had a conversation with Sonos Tech Support (STS) who helped...kinda’.STS ran a diagnostic on both Amps and said it showed they were set as Home Theaters🤔 That was very odd as they have never been setup as such; nor was TV Autoplay engaged. In fact a HDMI cable had never come within two inches (or less) of the HDMI port on the Am
I spent 1 hour 15 minutes with a customer service rep. The system will not update from Iphone or windows app. Very frustrating that we have been without Sonos for over 2 weeks.
Love your products, I have a 5.1 system that I would love to have it remember where it was when I turnoff the TV and start playing the playlist already on the system. Also it would be great if the speakers could remember their playlist after a power outage (which I experience too often) or a default playlist on boot up.
Hello community, I have a playbar witch wouldn't connect. And came across this post: https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/playbar-not-powering-on-blown-regulator-tps54226-replace-does-not-fix-it-6879440?postid=16638419#post16638419 2 years old but same problems with the main cpu board. TPS54226 blowen powerlane completely shorted. Pin 9 on TPS54226 is shortet to ground. Pin 9 is alsow shorter to Pin 1, 5, 8 and 10. Don't know if this right. After further investigation I found a ic with a "big" hole in it. Near the cpu. U55-Markings: IDT6V4919 8APGG 1507T A58636FMY Does any one have a idea were i can buy this part ?
Est il possible de synchroniser les réglages son sur tous les systèmes en un réglage ?
Since the app update, my Sonos Favorites don’t show up on the IOS App. I can see them fine on the desktop app. How do I get my Favorites to show up on the IOS App?
I ask Alexa, “Play FOX News”……..nothing happens. I say to Alexa, “I think you’re censoring me! Play FOX NEWS!” ……...Alexa plays FOX News! It works every time. What is going on?
I have an old system that has been working fine until recently. The system comprises a Play:1, a Play:3 and a Connect, connected to a HiFi.I have a music library on a Synology NAS.The Connect is hard wired (ethernet), while the Play:1 and Play:3 connect wirelessly.I can play from my library to the Play:1 and Play:3 without a problems. Radio also works just fine. The Connect however will not play from the library. It gives the error: Unable to play “song file name”, access to “server share” is denied. The same song will play on the Play devices just fine, so I don’t think there is a Synology rights issue. However, the Connect will happily play Radio streams, which also suggests that the Connect is working fine.Any idea what the problem with the Connect and library might be?Many Thanks,Neil Attard
So I posted This post a while ago. I tried a bunch of things, including that which was suggested in connecting a speaker to the mesh directly and none of these thing helped me keep a stable connection with a couple of the speakers. I did further looking around and eventually found something that mentioned changing the wifi 2.4Ghz channel from “auto” to 11 and since then it's been rock solid. Can't remember where I found the answer but if all else fails try that. There was no way I was turfing my mesh network. That seemed a silly option from the start.
What about fixing Mixcloud on the new app, empty playlists, empty list of followers, empty list of everything almost..
I bought my arc ultra, I have encountered a recurring bug when I play music in dolby atmos via Apple Music. On the 3rd track of the album and at the 15th second, the playback switches from dolby atmos to stereo.if I rewind the third track, the dolby atmos comes back but after
I haven't updated the barely functioning Sonos app so I checked for updates and read the reviews first. It sounds like the latest update is worse than the useless outdated version I have. The question is, is the OG useless app better than the updated useless app? Just a thought - the primary product offered by sonos is THE APP - without it they sell speakers that are comparable to others that don't rely on a disfunctional app. Seems like a little more resources should be dedicated to app development. Just saying....
Our Sonos system used to be so easy and intuitive. Now it’s lost its mind. Various rooms refuse to play, but then come back on out of nowhere. Volume control is all over the place. Sometimes nothing works and we spend an hour trying to figure out why. We know that they had a major software makeover disaster and it seems like it’s ongoing. We’re actively looking for alternatives, it’s super disappointing and the simple act of playing music in your home shouldn’t be this hard. It’s a reminder that new technology isn’t always better. Super disapointing after the money we’ve spent on a housewide system
Since the recent app update, I keep getting the error message: “Something went wrong. Try again.” — almost every time I try to use the app. I primarily use the “Favorites” and “Recently Played” sections on the Home Screen, but neither works anymore. Whenever I select something from these sections, I get the same error message.Additionally, the “Recently Played” list no longer shows my most recent selections in order, making it harder to find what I last played — and when I do find it, it still doesn’t play.My only workaround is going into the music services directly to play something, which defeats the purpose of having “Favorites” and “Recently Played” at all. This has made the system far less user-friendly, especially for my 85-year-old partner, who can no longer easily play music without my help.I’ve been a longtime Sonos fan, but this update has really shaken my confidence. The new Home Screen may look sleek, but it has come at the cost of basic functionality — a music system that
I usually listen to 'Radio One' but today I am trying to listen to 'Radio Six'...I choose Radio Six and it brings up Radio One. It won't change so I close and reopen the app. I have to do this alot. It reopens and shows me Radio Six. Good. So I press play, but the content it plays is from Radio One…So, I go and choose Radio One. And guess what? I am currently listening to the content of Radio Six but the Sonos app says it is playing Radio One. Wtf Such a terrible, slow & glitches app.
So great, new leadership, new update that supposedly fixes the volume control issues - but now my Pandora Account (while playing - I'm actively listening to a song) - Sonos says 'No Content's and you cannot pause or skip or change tracks. One step forward, two steps back. Somebody PLEASE get this godforsaken app to work like it used to!!!!!
We have several Sonos speakers - Beam Era 300Play 3Play 5OnePlay 1 x 2 For weeks now we cannot play music from the Sonos app, we just get the “unable to connect, try later” message. No software updates are needed, iOS and app ore up to date. Asking to play music via Alexa works fine. I have wasted countless hours on this community looking for fixes, tried them all, wasted weekend after weekend rebooting, setting up new systems etc etc to no avail. How can a product costing so much be so bad! I’m distraught, life is too short and I want my money back, never in my 47 years have I been so infuriated with a product. hoping someone can help, otherwise it’s all going in the bin and will be seeking advice on “Not fit for purpose” with Trading Standards.
Background. I have 2 x PLAY:1 configured as a stereo pair and 2 x Sonos ONE configured as a separate stereo pair which had been working as well as the current version of the app would allow. I had to reset the router and since then have been unable to successfully add back in the 4 speakers. I had another attempt this morning and managed to add back in the SONOS ONE’s, but no joy with the PLAY:1’s either cable or wifi connected. The app cant find them. Successfully managed to play a track using the SONOS One’s, but then couldnt stop the track playing. Reset my phone (a Google Pixel 6) and the Sonos app now tells me it cant find any products. I despair…..
I have been searching around, reading forums, contacting support several times, tried router settings and so on but I notice that many threads regarding Sonos and Asus are old so I thought I would create a new one for my specific case as I still have issues..I had the feeling that things had improved recently with all the updates, but then there are still situations where everything just goes off the rails—sound disappears, it stutters, then disappears again. The app won’t pause music or change tracks, and I end up giving up, wanting to shut everything down and try again later. And when the app finally realizes I’m trying to stop the music, it takes 3–4 attempts before it actually works.I have two Asus AX58U routers, latest firmware, did a factory reset on everything a week ago, including the speakers. I’ve set up all the recommended settings that Sonos suggests for Asus.I do have Airtime Fairness Off, Snooping on, and everything else that is recommended for Asus routers. Wifi Channel
Hi!A few months ago I updated my Sonos Home Theater system.I now have an Arc Ultra with Sub 4 and two Era 100.From day one I noticed something that puzzled me: whenever I use Night Sound with Dolly Atmos content, the Night Sound mode is unusable because sound from the Arc Ultra get way louder at times (it clearly have to do with some specific positional audio elements during the playback) and also dialogues get way too low to the point they re not audible. This dialogue thing is easily solved with Speech Enhancement, but the audio fluctuations, where it gets way to loud depending on some specific positional sound effects just is an absurd. Also, at times, surrounds get delayed creating an echo effect to the whole content. It seems to be a software thing because this does not happen with other sound formats aside Dolby Atmos, and only happen with Night Sound on (hence I suspect this to be a software thing rather an hardware issue).Any clues?Does anyone has the same experience?I believe it
The new interface is not intuitive in any way. All I’m trying to do is figure out how to pick a speaker, pick a playlist to play on that speaker. It doesn’t seem to be logical at all. The software seems to want to let me add more than one speaker, but how to add a playlist or music from a single artist is NOT obvious. so what is the logic. Am I supposed to pick some music first and then determine what to put it on? Because none of the other apps I’ve ever used for speakers works that way. I pick a speaker and then I pick the music to go on that speaker. I’ve been using another app to pretty much do most of what I wanna do but unfortunately, they do not have a sleep timer. Every time I try to go to Sonos app I revert back to the third-party app and then when I go to the Sonos app, the music is playing on the speaker I want and I go set the sleep timer. It’s got awful. Please, if someone can help me understand the design logic, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks,DMW
