Hello!I have half a dozen playlists, originally made in iTunes, that disappeared when we transferred the music library onto a separate storage unit (NAS).The funny thing is that Sonos still sees them and we can play them by choosing them in ‘imported playlists’. The NAS music library is the only source for the Sonos, and yet we cannot find these playlists on the NAS ourselves! What I really want to do is to find these playlists on the NAS, so that I can re-import them back into iTunes. Can someone clever please point me in the right direction, all my online searches on this topic only throw up irrelevant results for this situation! Thanks in advance!
Hi there! Today the audio coming from my Playbar suddenly stopped working. It disappeared from the Sonos app, as well. After unplugging and re-plugging it in to perform a power cycle, the white light was on but remained solid. No blinking.I tried power cycling a few more times, being sure to wait at least 10 seconds each time before re-plugging back in. No success.During this process, I also tried resetting the internet router, but nothing improved. Also no system updates were available. At this point, I’m not exactly sure what to do. I ran diagnostics; here is my confirmation number -- 95276220. Any help will be appreciated! Thank you in advance!!
My sonos beam keeps dropping off my network. i have to reset the beam everytime and when I get it set it plays for a little while and drops off again. Any suggestions?
Hi there :) my Play:1 has been fine playing wirelessly for ages then suddenly disappeared from the app. I have followed all the reconnection app advice and have even reset the Sonos and deleted and reloaded the app. I can get it to work wired but as soon as I remove the Ethernet cable the app can’t fine it. When I do the trusted network it says that the Wi-fi password is accepted and all is fine - then when I remove the wire it disappears? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I know this has been asked before, but not for quite a while, so I’m hoping things may have improved, or there may be some more relevant recent experience. When I was having trouble getting shared folders working (my environment is Linux, which involves configuring SAMBA which is not exactly simple) it was suggested that setting up a UPnP media server instead should be easier. It turns out that setting up the UPnP server was easy under Linux, but getting the Sonos controller to see it is not!I chose to use Rygel as the server (rather than MiniDLNA, which has not been maintained for years), and it was almost trivial to set up. If I use VLC Media Player or Windows Media Player I can see the files on the server and play them remotely without a problem, but the Sonos controller does not display the server when I look at the Browse screen, or anywhere else for that matter. Can anyone suggest things to try that they think I may have missed? Unfortunately I don’t think Sonos document exactly wha
I have reinstalled Sonos S2 app on Mac and It finds and connects to system then in the next few seconds asks me to turn on my system?? cannot connect?? All devices are static via WIFIThis used to work but not anymore why? Only way to listen now is from my iPhone S2 app bummer..
I have 4 zones/rooms, and I cannot consistently switch between rooms using either the iOS app or the PC app. As a 10 year Sonos user, this basic functionality is clear to me but after power cycling the router, waiting overnight and then trying to play in a specific room, the music will continue to play in the former room that I have unchecked and won’t change over to the different room. The zones/rooms are not dropped, they are visible in all apps.I run S1 with a legacy Play5, a legacy Connect:AMP, a new Amp and a supported old Connect:AMP, with the amplifiers powering only 1 pair of speakers.
Voices are low on the arc when tv is playing but everything else is much louder. All sound affects sound good but the voice volume is to low.
hiI am new to raspberry PI. I have a sub and 3 play 1’s and plan to ad the ARC at some stage. I want better sound quality than streaming off the phone or PC so I was planning on some changes.I like the rasperry pi so I was wanting to guy a PI hat audio streamer and play all my music through it to my sonos speakers. I was thinking of using roon too.I also have a Synology NAS and I want to stream from that too.Is there a way to make this happen?? I cant seem to work it out. Thx in advance.
I am a member of YouTube Music and I have successfully added the service to my Sonos app in Android. However, when I try to play music from YouTube Music it is showing a message that access is denied. Please help. Thank you.
Here is the TL:DR right up front. We bought these little guys to combine the analog RCA stereo outputs on each Sonos Connect into one XLR or ¼ Mono output…….https://www.galaxyaudio.com/products/jib-r Here is the rest for context…...I will preface this by saying I by no means deal professionally in commercial audio setup or installation, so I am sure one of those guys will come along and scream at me if this is bad advice. That said, hopefully this helps somebody out there if they are hitting the same roadblocks as I was trying to safely get a mono output from a a Sonos Connect. FWIW, there were some old posts here on the forum that never really went anywhere so I figured I would take a second to leave this here…... We have a restaurant/bar that has the following equipment (among other things) to work with in it’s audio system……….Two 4 channel amplifiers (specifically the iNuke NU4-6000’s) Four Sonos Connects. One for each zone. (Bar, Dining Room, Garage Area, and Patio) 8 Definitive Te
Seems like this has been an ongoing issue but wanted to bring back to attention the inability to create speaker groups with sonos and google home products despite sonos being available with google assistant. Hoping someone has a work around or at least that sonos is moving towards this? Frustrating to use all other features of google assistant but this.
Thought his group might be interested in my adventure adding four additional subs, three powered non Sonos subs and couch bass shakers to my Sonos sub. The Sonos sub is paired to a Sonos ARC and two more One SL’s for a 5.1 system on the TV. I had but shakers in the couch and several other subs left over from the conversion from a Pioneer Elite system. Got tired of having to update the receiver for the newest audio formats, 3D, and 4k. Then the hardware 4k bug hit the latest crop of AV receivers and I pulled the trigger on the Sonos ARC and sub. The sound quality was not quite the same but the versatility and ease of use of the system is easily makes up for it especially if you ask the wife. This mod took the sound quality up to be nearly equal if not better. I wanted to use my existing non Sonos subs but did not like the mods I found on the interwebs connecting powered subs to Ones and Plays directly from the speaker outputs. If I did that I would have no real processed sub audio from
I’m trying to determine how to best setup the following scenario. I would like a Smart TV and a TiVo Mini to be able to send their audio signals to a Sonos AMP that powers two speakers. The TV is separated from the AMP and TiVo Mini. There is a single CAT6a cable that runs from the TV to the AV Closet.Sonos AMP - located inside AV Closet, powers 2 outdoor speakers.Outdoor Smart TV - outside on rooftop deck, its video sources are its own internal streaming apps and a TiVo Mini Vox. This TV has HDMI ARC as well as additional HDMI ports.Tivo Mini Vox - as noted above, a video source for the outdoor TV and located in the AV Rack next to the Sonos AMP. I’m almost certain that i’ll have to use an HDMI extender (HDBaseT or other) as the only cable between the two locations is the CAT6a run that is about 130ft. Since i’d like the TV’s own audio from its streaming apps and the TiVo Mini’s audio to play over the Sonos powered speakers I’m pretty sure I need the HDMI ARC port of the TV to c
Hoping this helps out a Panasonic plasma owner in future 🙂 This tv has 3 HDMI ports. HDMI 2 is the one with Audio Return Channel (ARC). Initially I plugged my Firetv 4K into HDMI 3 and did appropriate setup. Nothing Changing the Amazon stick to HDMI 1 did the trick Cheers
So I got a bunch of IKEA Sonos Speakers and I can simply not use them. The software is a huge big bug.How do you guys get you speakers to play anything at all, let alone the song you wish at the speaker you wish? Why is it after 7months STILL not possible to sync a premium youtube account to Sonos, it keeps asking for a premium account!!!Silly silly software, this is a shame as the speakers are of descent quality for the price. With the small hitch you can not use them. I’ve sent many many buy reports via the app, registers for beta program, keep asking for support but no, filled out many many of these feedback sheets about things not working, nothing all quiet not a beep from Sonos.
hello,The Sonos phone app is not connecting/ finding the Sonos beam, i.e. When I got to the Sonos app, it does not discover my product during setup. When I first installed the Sonos beam, the app worked but it stopped working without any changes to the system or network. I haven’t been able to get it working since. My setup I have a sonos beam connected to my TV using HDMI-ARC. The TV has a ethernet connection to the router. The beam works fine as it is playing the TV sounds. I have no other Sonos devices. The beam is not connected to the router directly (only through the TV). I have 2 wireless networks - one from eero and other from FIOS router. I have tried the following but without successreboot the beam install/ reinstall the Sonos app rebooted my phone tried connecting to beam using 2 different iPhones (don’t have an android phone to try) tried from different distances (close to the beam and further away) setup both wireless networks on the TV and tried connecting with both net
I built a few playlists on my S1 app that were a mix of tracks from Amazon and Apple. After migrating to S2 I get the “song is not encoded correctly” message for the Amazon tracks. Note that this only seems to pertain to the playlist because when I go back to the songs directly in the app via Amazon music they have no problem. Any suggestions (other than rebuilding the playlists) would be appreciated!
I’m looking to setup a 5.1 system using an Arc, Sub and two One SLs for rear channel.I hate the look of the rear speakers mounted on the wall, plus I don't have much space behind me as the couch is flush against the wall. I was wondering if anyone has mounted the Sonos One or SLs inside the wall? I did find this interesting mount from widgetsinc but I’m wondering how much sound I will actually be losing by doing this, even after trueplay tuning. As I understand it, the Sonos One’s are not just front facing and so being enclosed like this may be too boomy or distorted? I’ve also considered the alternative by simply going with traditional third party in-wall speakers and Sonos Amp to start, but don’t want to lose trueplay ability +plus cost of Amp. The sonos architectural speakers seem too expensive for what it is.
I bought the Roam, this is my second time trying to connect to it outside my home. It is a brick. I can’t connect to the bluetooth, had to reset it. Now because I am not home, I can’t set it up in my Sonos system/on my account. WHY? It is dead weight and it should not be this difficult. Waste of money.
Received Sonos Roam yesterday and battery life is nowhere near advertised. Less than 24 hours and playing for 3 and battery completely drained! Please advise?
i have a sonos roam and an existing surround setup with Arc+2 sonos ones. i try the swap feature which seems really good. however i struggle with switching from “swap” to “group”.either way after using or attempting to use the swap/group feature my existing sonos setup becomes almost useless. Sonos is unable to handle any music commands from alexa. Alexa takes the command but i get a “device is offline” from alexa, or alexa accepts the commands but doesn’t do anything. and if i play the music manually, alexa is still unable to pause skip track change volume etc. everytime i play with the swap feature everything gets messed up. anyone having similar issues?
If you have an old S1 system and want the Roam set up as a separate system on S2, you need to swithc off all your product, while you set up a separate system, or you can’t setup your new Roam. After setting up a new system in S2 app, your can switch your old products on again and access them in your old S1 app. After setting up the Roam via network, you can switch on the bluetooth system.Only that way you can get your Roam to work,It took me a while to get it to work, but now it works fine.SONOS please let your customers know this fix, or you’ll get unsatisfied customers.
I seem to have an issue with the battery life of my new Roam. Also - it isn't entirely obvious when the Roam is on or off. A few times I have picked it up to use and there has been no charge left. It seems to be a real user oversight.
Hello, I have reconfigured my home network and I have to reconfigure all devices. My Sonos (I have a couple of Play:1 configured in stereo mode) are unable to complete the config procedure.
