I have the surround sound set (Beam, Sub, One x2) and just got the Five + Pro-ject T1 package. Everything is in a medium size square-ish living room. Based on what I’ve read so far, the Beam and the Five do not play well together (though I may be mistaken). I have an idea as to how I set up multiple rooms and multiple groups from those rooms to have functionally two different setups, which I’m comfortable operating exclusively from the Sonos app:Room 1- Sub + 2x One Room 2- Five +Pro-ject Room 3- Beam Group 1 (primarily for music)- Room 1 + Room 2 Group 2 (primarily for TV/ movies)- Room 1 + Room 3Is creating multiple Groups with components from the same Rooms feasible? Any and all thoughts/ tips are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I’ve had a Sonos Connect on my S2 app for about a year. Suddenly it has disappeared. I’ve tried the “find missing devices”, updating S2, plugging the connect into an Ethernet cable and updated the connect. It functions correctly on Ethernet, and it will go through the setup process on WiFi successfully but it never appears in my system on S2. Any ideas? I have an ASUS mesh router
Hi there, I bought an used playbar. So I opened it, because Tiere is no power. So I found a burned fuse and also a burned varistor. Can someone tell me, what Kind of varistor it is?
Just bought new ARC and setup Alexa. voice commands are so low that you can barely hear them. this is one of the reasons that I got this system, disappointed to the least. finally turned off microphone and went back to using echo dot which has a blue tooth speaker attached.
Can you use play 1 as chime for google nest doorbell. I have no other Google products. I have iPhone and google account with google home app. If yes. How to make it work ?? Thanks
So I tell Sonos Alexa to play a SiriusXM channel for me today and am suddenly told that she can’t do that and to check my account for instructions on how to link my account with Sirius. This had been working fine for a few months! Bonus: My Sonos phone app doesn’t work anymore either. When I go to SETTINGS, the “Account”, “System”, and “Services & Voice” menu options are greyed-out and unclickable. So I can’t actually do ANYTHING with this buggy speaker. This is beyond ridiculous. I now own a $250 paperweight.
Can anyone help me to identify burned elecronic parts?
I have a Sonos arc connected to the arc output on my tv. however I have another device that I want to play sound through the Arc without plugging and unplugging. I currently use an Sonos Arc->HDMI switch ->TV Sony → other audio device (optical) since the hdmi switch is bi-directional it does sometimes work but very unreliable and now the ARC(Bravia sync) does not work and I’m not able to control the arcs volume. Every now and then it starts working again. I do use the optical dongle to make the connection to the other device. anyone can recommend a switch that can do what I’m looking for? Or a way to reconfigure this setup?
Ongoing, various issues with these two plugged speakers, which are part of an 11 device Sonos system. When I group them (daily, morning routine) randomly, but frequently, the Move can't be found ("Try later") or if they do group, volume is unresponsive on the Move. I have to use manual adjustment.I have had related issues with accessing the Roam or finding features like volume unavailable.Often Find Missing Products helps, and i have to power off/power on, etc. Router reset seems to help but, with 5 family members, is a hassle. Then the problem(s) return. Any ideas?
I have a Tidal subscription and a number of Tidal songs on my Sonos playlists. As of a couple of days ago, I cannot play any Tidal songs from playlists - I get the error ‘song not encoded correctly’.The same issue has been raised by some people on the forum, as early as four years ago. Some seem to have been due to router issues, but some were due to issues on Tidal’s end. My problem seems to have coincided with Tidal recently allowing Hi-fi quality on a regular subscription. Has anybody else experienced the same problem? My diagnostic is 1444797406.
I have a youtube music premium account and have added it to the sonos s2 app but when I go to youtube music all I see is “No selections are available” How can I play music from youtube music on my sonos?
I have a sonos ZP and a Player 5 (1st Gen) in one room connected to a TP-Link router. In another room I have a Sonos One connected to a second TP Link router. Both routers are connected via ethernet and the one in the Sonos One room serves as an Access Point with no DHCP. The issue is that the Sonos One keeps disappearing from the system. I have ‘cold’ reset it many times, but it keeps dropping out. The second issue is that whenever I play audio it keeps dropping in and out. Especially when I group all the speakers through the Sonos One. I recently gave it a static IP and it seems to have helped some with the first issue, but the second issue persists. I just submitted a diagnostics report #1031527086Hopefully someone can help since I am loosing my sanity over this.
i have set up a system at a customers house fitted kit 6 sonos amps 3 subs gen3 2 play bars now everything works great apart from 1 sub it appears on the app room however it will not play any audio wifi is good in said room unifi nano hd’s are the wifi points. im sure its a firmware problem and from what i have read its been going on for sometime with no fix from sonos. there not cheap and we all expect them to work as they should.

I have a Sonos ARC that was prefessionally installed on my LG 65UN8500AUJ about 5 months ago. It worked fine until last week. Then stopped sensing the TV. I have reset it three times and that works until I turn off the TV. Next time I turn the TV on the TV icon is not available on my iPhone App. I have to reset it again. What happened?
I am recapping my ZP90 at 12 years old. The caps mostly appear good, apart from the 1800uF on the 3.3V supply, which has a bulging top. I think its testamount to a good design that these units last this long. I leave mine switchedd on all the time, with 230V nominal mains. These are the main capacitors, all originally by Jamicon, to consider replacing. They should be replaced with parts with same or better ripple current, life hours, and similar ESR. I avoided organic polymer etc, which might seem an upgrade, but which could lead to loop instabilities. My cap choices were rather limited by stocks.400V 22uF main reservoir. 20mm long maximum. I am going to use https://hu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Wurth-Elektronik/860241378003?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsKEdP9slC0YVUSgIC2sJFYWYuR0ZnncGk%3D22uF 35V C104 - low stocks meant I am not going to worry changing this. value for info. Its the aux supply for the switcher IC.C206 1800uF 6V3 105c Jamicon MZ 18 tall dia 10 pitch 5. I will use https://eu.mouser.com/Pro
Hey gyes. Does anyone know a solution to get the nest wireless doorbell to ring on a Sonos? Have a lot of PLAY one SL. I added both Sonos and of cause the nest in Google Home app, but cant get it to work.
I hesitate to even suggest this solution, as for many months my LG CX 55 inch OLED (OLED55CXAUA) randomly stopped outputting ARC audio to my [Sonos Beam Gen1 + Play:1x2] system requiring me to physically unplug the Beam’s HDMI cable from HDMI Port 2 on the TV multiple times a week. The TV would just output to its internal speakers while completely ignoring the Sonos setup until I re plugged it in. I was getting to the point of worrying about the TV’s HDMI port 2 getting worn out.All prior suggested solutions on this website have been temporary at best, but I seem to have found a durable solution that has lasted me the past four weeks of regular usage, found by reading multiple posts about this issue and parsing together a solution through trial and error. Of note, I first thought this was an Apple TV / LG CX / Beam problem, but I have realized after changing multiple settings on my Apple TV 4K Gen 2 (tvOS 15.1 with output forced to Dolby 5.1) over many months that it was a red herring
I can manage my system with an iphone. If I try to manage it with an ipad, either the system is not found or the Move is shown as the only device. I have deleted & re-installed sonos app on the ipad to no effect. Any ideas?
My Connect:Amp has disappeared from my SONOS app. I also have a PLAY:1 and PLAY:3 and both show and work. All were bought new and installed when I moved to a new home 5 years ago and have worked perfectly until now.I’ve tried powering the amp off and then back on, but it just doesn’t appear. The network hasn’t changed.I’m sure to be doing something wrong, or missing a trick but would appreciate some tips please. I haven’t found anything here that has helped so far.
Hi,I manually added the radio station by pasting the following URL to the field in the Sonos app: http://web.sabc.co.za/digital/player/1.0/rsg/index.htmlAfter successfully adding the radio station I received a message that the song cannot be played because it is not encoded correctly. Can someone please get me the streaming url for the above. Not sure how to get it in Safari on a Mac. The previous one I got from the forum does not want to work anymore. Seems like SABS keeps on changing the streaming URL.Thanks
I recently purchased Sonos Roam and I added RadioApp as a service under Music & Content. When I ask Google assistant to play a radio stations using RadioApp (3AW, Fox FM, SEN, ABC Melbourne) the assistant says “Sorry, it looks like RadioApp isn’t currently supported on Sonos Roam”.I have tried using TuneIn, however my most listened to radio station (3AW) no longer streams on TuneIn as of August this year according to their statement: https://www.3aw.com.au/how-to-hear-3aw-on-sonos-and-other-devices/Can someone please assist me to play 3AW and other Australian radio stations using Google Assistant on Sonos Roam?
Within the last couple of months, Sonos will randomly say “Something went wrong, please try again later” at max volume and always very early in the morning, usually between 4-7am. We don’t use any voice assistance on Sonos, and we never play anything at max volume, so the fact it plays the warning that loud is strange. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Hello. I own both a Sonos One and a Sonos One SL. One of them is in my living room, the other is in my bedroom. I’m having issues with my Sonos One, which is the one in my bedroom. If I’m listening to music on my One SL, and I press the “play/pause” button on my One, it will give me an “error sound” and blink orange 9 out of 10 times. If I have manually connected and played music on it within the last half an hour, it will accept the “play” command, but there will be a buffer of 20-30 seconds before any music is played through the speaker. I have a brand new Asus RT-AC86U router, so wifi connection should not be a problem, also the One in my bedroom is no more than 3-4 meters from my router, with only a wall between them (which doesn’t have anything inside it interfering with the wifi connection). I don’t have the same problem on my One SL. It will play music instantly whenever I press play, and if I’m switching from listening on my One to my One SL (in my living room), it will never g
Hi, all. Seems like quite a few of us on this board are having issues with loud popping during Atmos or other codec playback. I have read each thread on this board with no resolution from Sonos offered. I see this problem going back as far as Nov 2020.Here’s my suggestion: Write an accurate/truthful review on social media or the review board of where you purchased the product from. Let other potential buyers know that this problem is out there and has not been addressed by Sonos.Maybe when Sonos sees these accurate/truthful (yet negative) reviews of their product we will get some fixes from Sonos. For me, I will be posting my review on Crutchfield and Twitter.
