iOS 26 was released earlier today. While I’m not yet brave enough to go for it, I’m curious about other’s experiences with it.
Just wanted to share some useful information. I found a post in this community suggesting a HDMI ARC Audio Extractor made by Tohilkel and sold on Amazon. I had tried everything up to that point and I’m a HT technician for Geek Squad. It worked like a charm. Sound immediately started playing as soon as I plugged it in with zero issues. Idk about other TVs but this TV in particular definitely works. More than likely it will work on other TVs, especially other Samsung TVs. Ordered 2 for the 2 of the same model TV listed above. This is what I used. https://a.co/d/2T2ww3p
Whether it’s Amazon music or Spotify for me, occasionally I will get the error code “track not encoded correctly” and then skips to the next one. Is this a my network problem or the streaming service itself. Thanks
Any button I press it asks me to sign in, I do then try another button and it asks me to sign in again
I am totally lost, I have two surround systems that are working fine. Surround 1 is with an Arc ultra and ceiling speakers with AMP and surround 2 system is with a ARC and ceiling speakers with AMP.After rewiring one set of speakers to the surround 2 system it still worked fine. Now out of the blue I have no more surround sound. The speakers by itself make sounds but as soon as I add them as surround they are gone.I have been through the complete forum and tried it all. Factory reset, music level to 15, music from Ambient to Full.I think I reconnected the AMP like 20 times now but still nothing. What puzzles me is that it worked fine and now it doesn't.Honestly, I have no clue what to do next, what am I missing here… Been working on it for hours now and just have no idea what is going on. Especially since the other surround system is working totally fine...Maybe some interesting items:Speakers has not been moved no new internet or router Both ARC and AMP are connected to Ethernet, not
The desktop app sucks all of the sudden. Please fix this and revert to local controls. Theres no benefit to me to be cloud connected to Sonos servers in order to use the software for the devices i purchased. No one asked for this and frankly, its unacceptable.
I have a house with in-wall/in-ceiling speakers in 4 different rooms plus outdoor for a total of 5 zones. They are connected to a mechanical switch box and then a Denon AVR. The switch can select one or more zones for playing the source audio. Each zone has a wall mounted volume control.I know I can connect these speakers to my Sonos system with Sonos Port but I’d like to see the individual zones in the Sonos App and control the volume using the app. Is there an alternative to the existing “dumb” speaker selector switch that will integrate with Sonos and let me do what I want?Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Il faudrait un adaptateur inverse à brancher côté barre ARC ultra.HDMI mâle/ optique femelleMerci pour votre aide Bien à vous Moderator Note: Translation by Google Translate- Hello,Before purchasing the ARC Ultra soundbar, I need information on the connections. I have a Playbar with an optical input. I can't run an HDMI cable because everything is recessed and there's no more space. I only have the optical cable from the TV to the Playbar. There's no optical input on the ARC Ultra soundbar, which is a shame, and the optical-to-HDMI adapter plugs into the TV. I need a reverse
Does Sonos have a dowloadable app for an Apple MacBook. The web based version is utterly terrible.
Hi all,Apologies if this has already been asked (I couldn't find it from a quick search)Got a beam and watching a movie the dialogue is a reasonable volume, but the loud sounds (such as explosions) are so loud is off putting. Any recommendations of what to do or change?
Over 15 years with Sonos. Once again, the App at the point of not useable. I have 9 Sonos components and getting more frustrating every day. When I go online it shows 3 of the nine are connected. There has to be someone at Sonos that know what they are doing. SONOS IS FAILING.
Since the App update in spring of 2024 the “Artist Radio” functionality of Tidal doesn’t work correctly via the Sonos app.Only the first song plays and then the playback stops. There is no “Play all” button.Present App version: 80.24.37 on iOS 18.6.This has been raised in several threads (all closed for comments now) and it seems that Sonos has several times said that it’s a known issue.Does anybody know if Sonos is every going to fix this?BestJon
Eight months ago ,there was an update for S1 Sonos app .This caused two play 5 gen 1 to have totally distorted sound.I could not use them .During the many months ,I did keep trying them ,but sound still distorted,so again ,I could not use them .The app was on my android phone .Today I tried again ,but no good .By chance I decided to access the app S1 on my apple I pad and it said there is an update.Obviously I retried it and was amazed that I now have no distorted sound on both speakers I wish SONOS would pay attention to this neglected S1 app .There has been so many problems with SONOS ,but I’m a loyal customer and want this company ,to get back ,to where it was ,in the market place
Sonos really need to sort out their app. I have a very simple setup: 2 sonos era100 downstairs & 1 roam2 upstairs. App never works smoothly controlling upstairs, downstairs, & whole house. Never works first time when roam2 timed out and reconnect. It's a rubbish app.
Mon ampli ne veut plus s’allumer
The Sonos isn't working, but the LED flashes white every 10 seconds. It doesn't seem to fully boot up, and after 10 seconds it reboots. As ukpicasso and Timc995 when injet voltage then power ON After testing, I can measure 14.5v to 13.10volts at the injection points and the same voltage at the green points, with no more power than this board, that is, with the ribbon cable disconnected. When connecting the second board with the ribbon cable, power consumption increases and the voltage drops to 5V - 0V, so the device restarts, entering the cycle I explained at the beginning. With the 24V injection, everything works at 100%.Does anyone know what could be wrong with keeping the voltage stable when the device is consuming power? There are 330V at the blue points.Does anyone have a possible solution, or is someone experiencing the same problem? Thank´s
I have had issues for as long as can remember with music, specifically Spotify, cutting out when switching songs or starting music. The sound would come on one speaker and take around 20 seconds to reach all of my other speakers. Very annoying. Well, I wired a single Sonos One directly to my router and turned the wifi off on that speaker. That solved the entire issue. No music ever cuts out or lags now. I think the key was turning off the WiFi on that speaker because I’ve had speakers wired before but always had that issue. Hope this helps anyone else out there with a similar issue.
I'm a long time owner of Playbar and two play one speakers. They have been a very good surround system. I finally decided to complete the system with a base sub. Wanting the best hardware I bought the newest version, the sub 4.I set it up with the app and found out it was not compatible with my old hardware. All these products are connected via Wi-Fi and Sonos has decided that they don't want us to use the sub 4 with my old hardware. I'm sure this is a way to get us to buy new hardware where it is not needed. Backward compatibility is a good business model for the uses. They have decided they don't care about that, they want more money. DON'T BUY SONOS.Yes, I contacted tech support, their answer is send the sub 4 back and get the older sub.
Unable to reconnect Sonos. Only if Ethernet cable is used. Otherwise app doesn't find device.
I’m posting this to illustrate the difference between what you pay your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to bring service into your home and how that translates into actual Wi-Fi speed/coverage. Using my service as an example I hope to make the differences understood. Admittedly, my internet service and equipment used are an exception; and therefore not meant to say that yours’s should be the same. Your internet service and Wi-Fi speed/coverage barring external/internal interference will vary based upon what ISP is used and the hardware (modem/router) used to distribute the Wi-Fi signal in your home. Here are the specifics of my internet service, hardware and my device used take Wi-Fi Internet Speed/coverage measurementsISP: Google Fiber_3GB Incoming Speed Network: Mesh with Ethernet Backhaul * Equipment 1: ASUS GT-BE98U_Wi-Fi 7 router (Main Node) Equipment 2: ASUS RT-BE96U x 2_Wi-Fi 7 routers (Satellite Nodes) Device: iPhone 15 Pro MaxThis picture shows the Mesh Configuration of my netw
I have external speakers by Sonos and Sonance connected to a Bluesound Powernode 2i. The first set of speakers blew after 2 years and this set have lasted 1 year and the bass has gone but they still both work with a tinny sound
Hello.I recently purchased some Era 100 speakers to connect to my Sonos Arc.The room is large, and I use them for both movies and music.I've read that for the most immersive sound, the best position is B, but that would be detrimental if I'm watching TV or listening to music at the table. What setup do you recommend to immerse myself in movies and listen to music from across the room? Thanks in advance.
All music in all streaming apps that includes apple music, amazon music , Spotify, work fine on my old sonos play 1's in its own sonos room. However, my new arc ultra, 2 era 300's, and sub 4, all using wireless connectivity to the router drop songs in all streaming apps intermittenly and consistently (Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify). My new Hisense 65 inch TV audio which is also connected via wifi works absolutely fine via Surround, HD, UHD, and Atmos fornats. Should I hard wire my arc ultra to my router and try? From AI OverviewYes, you should absolutely hardwire your Arc, Era 300s, and Sub to your router to improve their wireless performance and resolve intermittent music drops. Your old Sonos Play:1s likely work fine because they aren't part of the same wireless network as your newer devices, which may be experiencing interference or a weak connection. Wiring the new components will provide a more stable and reliable network connection, which is often the solution to this type o
Hi! Ok, stoked but as techie w.ADD Sonos put me through a really enjoyable wringer. i work in IT Support for fiber, but I know I’m smart enough to know cocky vs. practical, I know a lot about a little and that’s the truth: please help as I’ve lupus, I love music , I need easy access to play consistent soundstage , stereo era100s w.Sub Mini is great. not as much now with beam gen2, though as surrounds and sub to push the beam , movie pops like it’s amazing, crack the whip good audio.(on eBay official, btw eBay Sonos store purchasing is smartest. You get a 2yr warranty plus if you’re patient, awesome savings ie. Brief august coupon, had era @ $120, factory refurbished is usually smarter than new . If you know, you know..Anyway; sorry ADD again.… context is When sub mini was added, I loved the music soundstage . As 2.1 please help as I’m used to music using stereo + sub, the L+R , is this lost since bought Beam Gen2 now,? ie. Downgraded atmos or DD+ vs. automatic separation and beam
We have a really awkward room set-up. Is there a system with 3 surround speaker to put on each corner of the sofa (with a sound bar under the TV and a Subwoofer we can put anywhere)?Or do you have another suggestion? Ps The roof of the extension is vaulted (not a flat roof). See below a sketch:
