Surround speaker placement

Hello.
I recently purchased some Era 100 speakers to connect to my Sonos Arc.

The room is large, and I use them for both movies and music.
I've read that for the most immersive sound, the best position is B, but that would be detrimental if I'm watching TV or listening to music at the table.
What setup do you recommend to immerse myself in movies and listen to music from across the room?

Thanks in advance.

I think position “B” is your best option for full immersion for movies. You might even try moving the speakers to the outside edge of the couch corners.

You ‘ll still be able to enjoy music as a “wash” over the room when at the table just not as though your sitting in the middle of all speakers. However if the speakers are on stands you can experiment to see if moving them to position “A” degrades your movie enjoyment.

As @AjTrek1 says: experiment. You have the speakers, so try things out and let your ears decide what’s best.

Probably B for now but adding another pair at A and grouping them for music would be good. Not for TV though as the delay in grouped TV audio would likely be unacceptable.
