I’ve had two MOVE speakers less than a week and every day I’m constantly having to either delete or restore the settings so that I can get a connection to work. I’ve done the online chat and from what questions I’m given by the robot, they would have me believe that it’s not a SONOS problem but mine. My speakers are less than 20 feet from a wifi router. My phone which I use with the speakers is less than 2 feet from the speakers. This is going on EVERY DAY that I want to use them. I mean we’re talking $800 for a system that is total crap.
Each time I stop or turntable auto stops at end of side I lose audio from Five when a start playing other side/new album Turntable is Sony PS-LX310BT with built in phono stage.Have set up Five speaker with line in auto play on. Source level 10 and delay medium. only fix I’ve found is powering off/on Five which is crazy. Any suggestions? As I feel I’ve wasted money on the Five. Thanks
I am updating my home system that has 2 ceiling speakers in the kitchen with an in-wall volume controller and 2 ceiling speakers upstairs with another in-wall volume controller and a Connect Amp. The 4 speakers are now Sonos Architectural in-ceiling speakers (definite up grade on sound quality versus previous speakers) and have a Sonos Amp on order from Sonos. I am replacing the 2 in-wall volume controllers and need advise on how many Watts each volume controller should be (100W, 150W, 300W are various available controllers)? Thanks.
Hi, I've changed the password of my Wifi after which I can't connect playbase anymore with WIFI. Used ethernet cable, updated, but the app can not find the device. When I unplug and replug it, hodling the play button it does not flash orange. Only when I let it go and press it agian. It does not go back to factory settings as far as I can see.Now i'm reading these threads and see all playbases are being replaced. Is this a hardware fault, how can a update result in replacing all hardware (just a question from my side).I'll run diagnostics tonight and send the code.
I’ve been listening to channel 793 Court TV on Sirius through Sonos and today it says channel is no longer available. On their channel lineup it goes from 792 to 794. I know this is a Sirius issue but their customer service is awful. Does anyone know what is going on please? Thank you.
Hello allI received an alert of my router that my Arc SL soundbar tried to connect to http://pagead2.googlesyndication-cn.com:443/. Thankfully, the router did it’s job and blocked the request. Why is my soundbar attempting to reach google servers in China? What possible reason could there be for a soundbar to attempt to contact a website irrespective of the fact that no one was home and no media was being played through it? I bought the Arc SL specifically for the point of it having no microphone and was ostensibly more privacy focused. Turns out, this may be misguided thinking...
Until today when I used the Sonos app on iPhone or iPad if I went into BBC sounds and then Selected “My Sounds” I would get 3 options - Bookmarked, Subscribed or Latest. When I access via phone or tablet now when I click “My Sounds” I just get a list of icon images of some of the episodes of podcasts I have subscribed to. The desktop app on iMac is still working as expected. I have raised this with Auntie so hopefully it will get fixed
Hello,I am currently running a Yamaha rx-a1050 receiver for my zone 1 surround sound with the zone 2 output connected to a Yamaha r-s201 receiver. I would like to replace the zone 2 r-s201 receiver with a sonos amp. I connected a Sonos amp temporarily to make sure it could power my zone 2 speakers and it worked great, EXCEPT when I went to “party mode” on the main rx-a1050 receiver I could not get the music to play in-sync between the 2 zones like i could with both Yamaha receivers. There was a 1 to 2 second lag. Any thoughts on how to correct this and play music in unison when I switch out zone 2 to a sonos amp?
I recently helped a friend setup a Roam, 2 Sonos One’s and a Move. When we group and want to change the volume for an individual speaker it changes the volume for two of the 4 speakers. For example when I change the volume for the Roam the volume changes for the Roam as well as one of the One speakers. There are no pairs setup. Only happens when in a group. Please note I am aware of group volume and can individually change the volume for each room separately but when I do two rooms volume changes.
I have been a loyal Sonos customer from the get go but I just can’t understand why they haven’t addressed the loud popping issue in the beam and arc products when customers are choosing Dolby Atmos output. Looking at these forum posts, its across multiple sources (appleTV, Xbox, etc) and across multiple TV types. Why doesn’t Sonos say something about this? Tell us you are working on it. Something. As of now, I am considering trashing my Sonos set up in favor of Bluesound. I just can’t stay with a company/brand that leaves their customers in the dark on a crappy issue.
This just started happening to me, my Sonos won’t update my music library. If i delete my music folder and re-add it will be have everything in there that should be, but if i add more music (mp3s, which i do almost daily) and have it update, none of the additions show up. my music’s on a macbook running big sur 11.6
I bought a Sonos play 5 several years ago. A year later I bought a Sonos Play 3. Then a Sonos Play 1. The bridge I initially bought was damaged, which is why I bought a Sonos 1 about 2 years ago that I use in another room and it served as a bridge. Even though this is version s2, everything worked perfectly even though the Sonos play 5 is not compatible, using the Sonos s1 app. the problems started 2 weeks ago when i decided to buy the sonos roam. I had to remove the Sonos 5 from the s1 app to get it to work. Now the Sonos play 5 is unusable. I can't reinstall it on the Sonos s1 app. but besides that now this app doesn't work and it sends me to app s2, so play 1, play 3 and Sonos 1 don't work either, and they are not detected in app s2. So now I only have the Sonos roam and 4 speakers that don't work. In addition to the above, for several years Sonos has allowed the use of a voice assistant but in Colombia it is not possible, although it is not a problem with Alexa (have an ec
Bonjour,Comme d’autres utilisateurs j’ai un sifflement du coté gauche de la playbar.Ce sifflement apparait des que la playbar est sous tension, peut importe la source utilisée.Comment avez vous résolu ce problème ?Merci
When using a Sonos Arc with Amp as surrounds the app now specifies that the Arc needs to be hardwired to the router (regardless of other hard wired Sonos products / Amp). I can’t remeber if this has always been the case or it’s a new requirement. The thing that I don’t understand is that on our shop demo system, neither the Arc or Amp is wired but is setup (and works) as Arc, surrounds w/ Sonos sub. The only difference is a Boost, can you get around it with a boost.
Sony Bravia will not stay connected to Sonos Arc. Switches back to TV speakers. Got it to work once by removing all connections, powering down both units then repowering both units and reconnecting all inputs. However when I shut the system down and turned it back on it went back to switching to TV speakers. Can any one help?
Based on earlier questions I posed to ensure I get things right, I purchased a Sonos Five and a Sonos Amp and have them controlled by Alexa (via Echo). Thanks to the Community members for their help with my questions both prior to and following my purchases. On my equipment, I have all the latest versions of the Apps and firmware up to date. All devices are in my “Family Room”.I set up the Five first, and during the set up using the Sonos App, I indicated its Room location was Family Room. The Sonos Five ended up being named Family Room and it was in the Family Room. When I set up Sonos Amp, I also said it was in the Family Room and it showed up with the name Family Room 2 (given, I suppose, that it was the second Sonos device in my Family Room). I subsequently changed the names of the two Sonos devices to Family Room Five and Family Room Amp, respectively. Questions: By renaming the Sonos Five from Family Room to Family Room Five, when I look at the device on the Sonos App, it shows
I renamed the computer and Sonos would say it couldn’t find the old computer name. It wasn’t recognising or seeing the new name. I reinstalled etc. Then realised that there were a few issues. Firstly there were different queues for different speaker systems, these had been populated prior to the name change. I ungrouped the system and cleared each queue. Additionally, the queue that was in the main play area had been populated prior to the computer name change. I cleared all queues, updated the music library and voila!
Hello,I’m trying to use the instructions from this Github repo ( https://github.com/basdp/USB-Turntables-to-Sonos-with-RPi/issues ) to connect my Turntable to my Sonos Beam 2.I got a AT-LP120XBT-USB turntable which I connected directly to my Pi 4B via USB.According to arecord I am getting info inside (I can see volume fluctuating), but I get nothing on the speaker. For whatever reason when I open the ip on port 8000, I get nothing on the Server Status. When I tried following this tutorial: https://www.instructables.com/Add-Aux-to-Sonos-Using-Raspberry-Pi/ I got to the mount point part (sometimes I just needed to restart the service for it work)I tried setting the Turntable output to both phono/line.If you have any advice for me, I’d be grateful.Thank you!
We’ve been having some trouble lately with streamed sources occasionally stalling, and in the process of troubleshooting I’ve been looking at the network matrix to see if interference might be an issue. We introduced a Boost some years ago to deal with such issues, however I still find as we live in a block of flats that changes in surrounding wireless networks will occasionally again start to interfere.Looking at the matrix, I’m struggling to understand and wondering if someone might be willing to take a look. My interpretation would be that several of the players are complaining about the level of ‘noise’, presumably from surrounding wireless equipment. However, I’ve used Wifi Explorer to scan surrounding networks and channel 11 (currently set) is by far the least used. My home network is already on channel 1 and at lowest power/narrowest channel width.Possibly a complete aside, but also can’t work out why the Beam (‘Master’) is not showing any colour at all and very little infor
I believe I may have discovered a bug which, as far as I can tell hasn’t been reported yet, but I can reproduce over and over:I have two Sonos One SLs. I can successfully pair these two speakers to become a stereo pair, and I can play to this set perfectly fine from within the Sonos 2 apps on both my iPhone and MacBook. However, if I try to play a song from within Apple’s “Music” app using AirPlay it breaks the stereo pairing - one of the two speakers stops playing music altogether. It then remains like this regardless of the music source or whether it’s being played from the Sonos 2 App or Music App (via AirPlay). It does not split the two speakers into separate rooms, sound just stops playing out of one of the speakers. I can fix this by using the “Remove Stereo Pair” option, which then does separate the speakers into two rooms and each works fine again, separately. I can then re-pair the speakers, and it will all work fine again until I attempt to start an AirPlay session to them
When adding speakers I seem to be forced now to use this stupid passcode audio tone that does not work… It blasts a tone several times which of course everyone in the house is wondering wtf & then the phone does not recognize (phone has a working mic & access to Sonos app), then I get to go through it again but this time it askes to hold it closer which does nothing either… Then the app realizes it’s not working and THEN it gives me the option to push the connect button which is what I originally wanted about five minuets ago. I'm in desperate need of an answer or explanation for this because its just so dumb… No I'm not using a blessed by the Pope iPhone if that's the problem… Okay, then at least give the option to bypass the tone and go straight to the connect button, its what its there for right?I imagine installers must love this great feature and all that extra time farting around to get it working...
when I'm watching or listening to things I get a soft rumble then a bang and then my base goes mental why is this?
It Seems that a lot of people experiences problems with the power supply of the Playbar. I’m trying to repair one of those… here are a picture of the blowned composants I need the values of those composants : R20R21R19R18R38C27C26 Am I missing something burned on the pictures ? I really need help on this…. Many Thanks Piermo
Finally with some testing, and some pieces. A little Reverse Engineering. Recycle mode reversed on 3 speakers thus far.Play 5’s, and Play 1’s.It was easier then I thought. But you will have to dismantle your speaker and do something pretty simple..Like spend $10
What happened Sonos, when I had S1 literally bulletproof reliability. Now you treat you customers like junk and the s2 app works about 25% of the time. Honestly a ground breaking market leading amazing product to some unreliable over priced rubbish. I don’t know what’s happened but the 23000+ trouble shouting topics here says it all. I’ve plenty of written prof about how sonos treats its customers which I’m happy to publish if anyone wants a laugh. Sooo disappointing and frustrating. Anyway I’m off to reboot all my devices and my router agin in the hope I get 30mins of music before it drops out again!!!!!!
