Hi,My sonos system & iOS app updated this morning, and appears to have nuked my music library. When going to Settings > System > Music Library:in Music Library Setup: No network locations are listed, and if I enter the location again it is not added to the list, but the library does show as indexing briefly I have the option to update music index now, but nothing happens when doing thisThe music library icon under Browse is not showing as there is no music. It does show while indexing is running, but no music is visible. I have tried the following to try and resolve the issue:rebooting all sonos devices rebooting my phone uninstalling/reinstalling the sonos app on my phone installing the sonos controller app for windowsUpdate: issue appears to have resolved itself after adding the library location and indexing the library for about the 5th time. Google just released native support for SiriusXM via the Home app. It is listed as a “radio” service. I can use voice commands to start and stop stations just fine on the actual google home products (Hub, mini’s etc), however when I attempt to target my Sonos system for playback I am told by Google Assistant that the device is not supported. For example, I say to my Home Hub “Sonos Kitchen play Phish Radio on SiriusXM”. Google Assistant recognizes the command as valid with something like “OK playing Phish Radio on SiriusXM on Kitchen” ; immediately followed by “Sorry kitchen is not supported at this time”. Is this a bug or functionality that is not yet built? Please note that I am logged into the same SiriusXM account on both my Sonos system and the Google Home system.
SonosNet does not activate when it absolutely should. I have talked to Tech support several times and followed that “converting to a wired setup” instructions procedure a dozen times. I’ve audio recorded the “click” that I hear when I plug my Ethernet cable into my one plugged in device more times than I can count, just to ask a friend and ensure that I did in fact hear the magical “click” sound. When I check my setup, a half dozen speakers are in, hooray, “WM: 1”! If I remove my WiFi network from the app, all those speakers VANISH forever. It’s like they’ve given up on life and have no will to live. Even though supposedly there is a magical SonosNet blasting around everywhere. The only fix is to plug my physical Boost back in, and they magically re-appear! This Boost must have the magical key that gets them to connect. The fix for this? RESETTING my entire system one-by-one. Tech support told me not to, their forums as well. But the moment I finished spending 30 hours trying t
Since the last two days, the Sonos app (on my Imac) reads a title coming from Deezer for a minute or so and then suddenly stops the music and says that the title or file is not correctly coded and jumps to the other title. It does that with 2 out of 3 title that I listen, whatever I am listening to. Never had that message before. Didn’t change Deezer app or Sonos app. Only thing I did was updating Sonos app about a month ago to the latest update.
When playing music from spotify I select one Move, 2 One and 2 roams.Everytime I need to switch the roams off and on before they start playing. Can I do something to make them play instantly like the others.
I have a Sonos Ray hooked up to a TCL Roku TV.I like it a lot ~ but have 2 problems that did not exist before the soundbar. 1)The Volume Level is not displayed on the TV.2)The Volume does not increase when you hold it down. You need to keep pressing it.Is that correct. If I upgraded and got a Beam with an HDMI cable will that solve the problem?
Hello all,I just wanted to see if anyone has any advice or suggestions for addressing an issue I’m experiencing with my set up. I currently have a Samsung JS8500 from 2015, which means it has ARC, but no EARC. I use a Chromecast with Google TV for all of my streaming. And I recently purchased a Sonos Arc to replace my previous Pioneer soundbar. I understand that I cannot get Atmos directly from the TV to the ARC because the TV lacks EARC, so I purchased the Orei HDA-931 Audio Extractor (https://www.orei.com/products/dual-hdmi-earc-audio-extractor-converter-4k-60hz-18g-hdmi-2-0-arc-support-hda-931) hoping to feed the Chromecast into the device and then split the video to the TV and send the EARC to the ARC soundbar.I can confirm that this set up works - I can watch movies on Netflix and the Sonos app shows the audio as Atmos. I also see the Audio In under the system info as Dolby Atmos (DD+).The problem is that when I hit the power button on the Chromecast remote to turn the TV (an
My Sonos Beam is connected to my Samsung TV. It is plugged in to the TV using HDMI. When I am away for an extended time, I sometimes unplug the TV. If I do not use the Beam for an extended time, will it go into a sleep mode or is it better to un plug the power too.Thank you, Irwin
Using my roam on blue tooth. As soon as screen on my pixel 5 goes black (as in goes to sleep) my roam keeps stopping for a couple of seconds then carrying on where it left off ( as goes silent for a second or 2). It does this about every 10 seconds. When I turn off automatic sleep so my phone stays on it keeps working normally although this drains my phone battery. It does it even if my phone is within 1m of the roam. There is no WiFi network where I am so that is not an option. No other device is linked to roam. Any help gratefully received.
Sonos version: 11.2.13Plex version: 1.25.0.5282 (same issue encountered with 1.24.x.x)Plex running in Docker container on an HP MicroServer serving music stored on same server. Plex app works fine and can browse/stream music from internal LAN and from outside LAN. Sonos app can browse music on Plex fine.Until recently, I’ve been able to stream Plex music to SONOS without issues. It stopped working a couple of days ago. A new Plex update became available today and I’ve tried that with no success. Problem description:I believe the following are related issues as they started at the same time.Variant 1:Using the SONOS appFind and select track from Plex. When Sonos attempts to play track it reports error:Unable to play track '<track name>' - the connection to Plex was lost.Variant 2:Using the Plex web app, the cast locates SONOS boxes but when trying to connect reports:Playback ErrorAn error occurred loading the media being played on "<sonos device>". Expected behaviour:SONOS p
This is a completely speculative inquiry that cannot be validated at this time, but I'm curious as to whether people believe it to be conceivable. Based on what I've observed and what's forthcoming, it appears to be a significant likelihood.Sonos acquired the voice assistant business Snip some time ago, and it is now seeking a leader for its Home Theater OS division. While considering how consumers may subsequently utilise their own voice assistant to control not only music but also televisions, I recalled that Matter has also been delayed till this Fall.Suddenly, I realised something because of this. What if Sonos takes advantage of this and creates not just a music/television voice assistant, but a full-fledged home voice assistant that will have access to a plethora of Matter-compatible devices this fall, thereby rendering Sonos independent of third-party voice assistants such as Google, Alexa, and Siri?It will be intriguing to observe how this develops and whether it becomes a real
No changes at all on my end, but last week while listening to our regular local radio station (KBCS 91.3) via TuneIn, my Sonos system will suddenly play the BBC instead of the radio station feed.Right in the middle of the music it will just switch over. 😖KBCS is a local station that plays mostly music. I don’t even have the BBC on my list of stations. The station’s live stream is just fine. If I listen to the station via TuneIn on my phone it’s fine. But on my Sonos it suddenly plays the BBC. it doesn’t do this to any other radio station I listen to. I removed The Station from my presets. I restarted my router. Still doing it. Very depressing as we listen to this station for many hours a week and can’t get the signal clearly on the radio tuner. Thanks

Hi… One room in my system has been acting up recently :(I assume it’s some kind of wireless interference, but I have been unable to pinpoint it myself. How do I open or find an existing support ticket to add more information so I can get help?I was trying to reach out while I have time to get a diag. and the issue is actively going on, but support@sonos.com kicks back an auto-reply and chat support is unavailable.I started a chat the other day and was asked to reset my Office speakers, which helped then, but now I can’t join Office to other rooms. There’s lots of information in that ticket, but I can’t locate it in my account and I never got an email followup. I assume it was closed. Can someone at Sonos please look up this ticket and contact me either here or by email? Here’s another diagnostics: 1202345315Thanks!
Hello everyone,After the latest update to 14.12, TruePlay doesn’t change the sound at all at my Arc+Sub gen3.Besides the known problem of cutting the bass down, there is no change in the sound whatsoever. On my Sonos One for example, I can clearly hear the difference when togling TruePlay. On Arc, none, zero, nada.Did enyone expierience the same issue?
Bonjour, je viens d’installer le composant BOOST, mais le système ne reconnait plus mes hauts parleurs Play 1 et Play 3. Merci de votre aide si vous avez une solution !
Anyone have a recommendation for a narrow wall mount rack shelf solution that could be used for separate shelves for anywhere from 3 - 7 Sonos Amp’s? It will be located in a cubby behind a TV and unfortunately there isn’t the width to the right of the tv mount to allow a standard 19” wide audio shelf rack. Ideally looking for something closer to 10” wide. As a side note, i am installing AC Infinity Airplates to vent. TV Cabinet Area Area to the right of TV mount where I am looking to put stackable shelves for Sonos Amp’s
When I purchased my first speaker in 2011, I was so excited for this product. Ever since sonos 2, it's been nothing but a pain in the ass. Developers have ruined this system and customer service is PATHETIC. I'M ABOUT TO START A CLASS ACTION SUIT against this company. This product is now a lemon and thousands of dollars down the drain because of piss poor development and irresponsible management. Hate this product now.
Previously my Sonos system was fine. I had an Arc joined with a Sub Gen 3 in a room. I then purchased to move’s and added them no problem. Things ran fine for several weeks. I then cahnged my modem to a newer Rogers Ignite modem. No problem, updated the network and everyting worked fine. Suddenly one of my moves looked like it was conected, solid white LED, but when looking at the system it showed Move L/? meaning that one of the Moves just didn’t seem to be reporting to the Sonos app although the LED light remained solid white. There was no sound from the one Move, the Arc, Sub 3 and other Move were fine. I am really so not impressed with Sonos at this point. I went and unistalled the app three times, restared my phone. It just keeps remembering the previous install it seems. I want to have the app be reinstalled so that I can begin adding all the products again, but you can’t. Products can’t be discovered even when powered on solid white lights, no system exists to forget. You can’t d
Hi, I have found an annoying bug with the move. When the move is taken off stand and goes to sleep after a certain amount of time, when placed back on the stand, the announcement “Alexa make an announcement…” functionality needs two takes to actually broadcast your announcement. The only fix I’ve found is to remove Alexa and re-install Alexa in the Sonos app for the Move. This fixes the issue until the move goes to sleep off stand again. Can Anyone else reproduce this ? Thanks Tom
I have a number of songs where Sonos does not recognise the artist from the field in iTunes, and some more where it doesn’t recognise either the song name or artist - in which case it just shows up as a file name in the Sonos playlists.Good examples below - two tracks from the same artist, Avicii (may he rest in peace). As you can see the set up in iTunes is identical - yet in Sonos, for one track the information is received fine, but not recognised at all for the othr. Thoughts/comments/suggestions?
I was very close to returning my Sonos Move before I found some posts here guiding me how to fix this. The previous post are kind of old, so I decided to make a new one, I cannot believe that this is still an issue - if someone here can explain why a default setting on a fairly common WiFi router will cause so much problems with Sonos Move (instability - disconnecting from WiFi all the time, google assistance not working etc) - I will be most interested to hear more about it.The fix is here (copy/paste from another post here). You need to log into the router - here is what I did: Connected an Ethernet cable to the ASUS RT-AC88U WiFi router, typed 192.168.1.1 in an internet browser and logged into the router (default username and password is “admin” (you should change this, I did and spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I changed it to...). navigated to the menu described below and disable “Airtime Fairness”“Wireless menu >> Professional Tab >> Airtime FairnessThis
