All,Pocket Casts are not showing on Sonos for too long. What is happening ? Please can you give an update? Thanks.
I have 4 sonos play speakers and had the system for approx 8 years. Over the past few months the connection to the system has been very temperamental with the trouble shooting steps working maybe 1 in 3 times. I am using the same router, in the same position and do not have issues with any other devices connected to the network. The system is unusable for some time and getting to the end of my patience with the system.
I recently bought a Sonos Roam and a Sonos Move. Both speakers are great and I use them with Google Assistant.I have a home set up in the Google Home app with all my family members.I’ve added my Voice Match profile to both speakers, but every single time a family member of the same household in the Google Home app tries adding their profile, I get this error message, even though they’re in the same home (and not any other homes). So currently I cannot add multiple Voice Match profiles to either my Roam or my Move which is extremely annoying, especially since this feature is really supposed to work.I’ve seen another thread where the user had a similar problem with his Roam, but he was still able to add additional Voice Match profiles, and didn’t get that same error message. The solution to that problem in that particular thread doesn’t work for me.I’ve removed and added my family members back to my home, I’ve relinked my Sonos account, to no avail. Is there any solution to this?
After struggling to get my Roam pairing with Bluetooth devices and finally succeeding, I managed to get my Roam working both via the S2 app and via Bluetooth. For a day. It charged to 100% and was working plugged-in and on battery. I turned it off last night and woke up this morning and nothing I do will turn it on or wake it up (if it were sleeping. I've tried multiple chargers and cables (in case the battery somehow went dead. No joy, no lights, no sound, nothing. I could occasionally see a faint orange LED near the center below the SONOS logo underneath the mesh, but it goes away eventually. Anyone else have the same problem or suggestions? I've tried to factory reset and that isn't working. Held he power for over 20 seconds with and without the play pause button held simultaneously. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Hi all, I’d be very grateful for any advice on the following. I own a Sonos Port so we can send audio to an external line-out source via the Port’s RCA outputs. It has been running glitch-free on our Unifi system for well over three years, alongside our many other Sonos devices.A couple of days ago, I noticed that although the Port showed that content was streaming from it, output was not being heard via its RCA outputs. Power cycling the unit did not resolve the issue. To try to troubleshoot, I hard reset the Port by holding down the button on the back of the device while connecting it to power. And that’s when my nightmare really started. I went through the process of setting up the unit. At the risk of hijacking my own thread, I do need to note in case any one from Sonos is reading this that the setup experience for this product is horribly inaccessible to me as a totally blind person. Rather than simply joining our existing Sonos network, the iOS app prompted me to connect to the PO
We have wi-fi and internet intact. All products have power and a unit is hardwired via ethernet to router. Nothing has been changed - though we have been experiencing a lot of drop out these last few weeks. Anyway, today we are no longer able to access/connect to sonos. Tried all the recommended fixes. Nothing. I can see no reason why it shouldn’t work, but it doesn’t. (Have just updated mac os on laptop, but that should not interfere with my iphone...). Im using S1 app. Sonos help sequence sent me here...
Hi, I'm having problems with Iphone v15.5 in my Sonos Five System ( 8 Speakers) the speakers at the moment disappear and after a while they appear alone, even remaining in the same physical place with the iphone.Using the speaker system from a laptop the problem does not occur. I have been having issues with playing Audible on my Sonos Roam via Alexa. I use the command “Alexa, play Audible” but after 3-4 minutes the audiobook will stop. On the Sonos app I get the following message: “Unable to play <Audiobook Chapter> - the song is not encoded properly.” Sometimes Audible will skip ahead 2 chapters after the message, but mostly the audiobook stops completely. This issue only happens if I play Audible via an Alexa command. There are no issues as far as I can tell with other services (eg Spotify, iHeartRadio, etc) or playing Audible through my phone.Below are the following solutions I’ve tried and their respective diagnostic confirmation numbers after the issue reoccurred:Completely reset the speaker - 1687113073 and 1909624914Switched speaker to a 2.4 Wi-Fi network - 1319891684Reset my Wi-Fi router - 267135584
A SiriusXM station will be streaming to a Google Nest Hub Max and when I open the Sonos app the Google Nest Hub Max stops streaming saying the SiriusXM account is being used on another device. I didn’t play or even search for anything on SiriusXM through the Sonos app though. All I did was open the app on my phone. I hit no other buttons. How do I fix it so I can listen to SiriusXM on my Google Nest Hub Max in one room while listening to music (not on SiriusXM, on Google Music) through a Sonos speaker in another room?
I have connected my Audio Technical AT-LP120 turntable which has built in preamp to my Port and then linked the Port to the Arc but the sound quality is very full of static and sounds horrible. Had no issues using this turntable with my old receiver and stereo speakers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
Same issue as 4 months ago. Error:unable to browse musicsonos app on iOS updated to 14.16 recently and problem started. Anyone else?desktop app same issue and error.
Hi all, In the past few months I have noticed some major negative changes in how we have to communicate with our Sonos system for Spotify.I have a Sonos Arc+2x One SL+Sub, 1x One in Sitting room, 1x One in Office, and a Sonos Roam.Ever since I got the system a few years ago I could simply say “Hey google, play music/ specific song” etc. and it would play on the speaker that heard me say Hey Google. In the past months every time I ask it to do anything it always askes me “I also need to know which device to use. Try saying that again and include the devices name”.This never used to happen, and even when I try include the devices name, about 50% of the time it says the same thing even though I use the speaker name. My wife is ready to throw the system out. This is with Every. Single. Spotify command. even just “Turn volume down” or “stop music”.Is there a way to disable having to include the devices name?Is this a feature that changed recently that anyone else has to deal with?Any help wou
I have three iOS based controllers and they intermittently lose visibility to the Roam or will sometimes see the Roam but you are unable to adjust the volume. There’s no pattern I can discern - one day it’s one controller, some days two but rarely will all three controllers lose visibility to the Rroam. After connecting with the working controller the other one/two controllers will mysteriously regain visibility to the Roam. All of the devices are within a 15 foot radius without any intervening walls. In addition sometimes simply rebooting the Roam resolves the issue, however this is getting annoying. I submitted a diagnostic report #591028388, however right now the controllers at home both see the Roam. Should I wait until the controllers lose visibility to the Roam and submit another report? Is there a diagnostic tool for the controllers to see what state they are in when they can’t see the Roam? Grasping at straws here!
I have 2 Move speakers on a network with Google assistant tied to Spotify. Was working fine until last day or so. Now when I say “hey Google, play The Beatles” it responds “To play media, say something like, play Pop Music or play animal videos on living room TV, you can also use commands like pause or continue or volume up” I updated the system and I have no other indications. The speakers will play music i select from Spotify and it will respond to “pause, stop, volume up” etc
I am trying to get an audio input signal into my system for watching TV on our patio outside of our MBR (Master Bedroom). On this MBR patio, I already have a pair of outdoor speakers fed by a Connect:Amp labeled “Patio” that I would like the ability to listen to while watching the MBR’s Television. Currently we watch the MBR TV through a typical 5.1 home theatre style AVR system, an older Onkyo HT-RC160 and do not use the TV’s audio at all. The TV (Sony XBR-85X900H) is only used for Video which is fed from the AVR through an HDMI. When outside on the patio with the doors shut during hot or cold weather we have to crank up the (non Sonos) AVR which is a little annoying to others in the house. I would really like to use the current Patio outdoor speakers which are right there already installed. The Onkyo AVR has HDMI inputs from multiple sources, a Dish Network STB, a PC, a PS4 and an older Connect labeled “MBR”In my home, I have several of the older style Sonos’ Connect:Amps, Connect
Unable to play airplay on arcI have a sonos arc and two sonos one. Airplay works fine on sonos one. However it never works on Sonos Arc. Have tried multiple troubleshooting steps given by customer support(60+ mins). But no luck so far. Steps performed:Tried aiplaying from another mac, ipad and iphone. Removed wifi extenders from setup. Switched arc from wireless to wired with wifi still on. Multiple restarts to router, arc, iphone. Factory reset of arc(Even though it was not recommended). But no luck so far.
Cannot share USB audio files with SONOS v2 systemRouter Model: TP-Link Archer C8Hardware Version: V3Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20220510 rel.32759(5553)The USB drive plugged into the Archer C8 shows it is active in the Archer C8 advanced USB settings. All files are shared with no login required. The network address is: \\192.168.1.1\sda1\USB_MusicWindows explorer can find the music files OK and can play them, but the SONOS v2 system cannot access the music library.I have worked extensively with TP-Link and SONOS customer support, but they were unable to resolve this problem. SONOS suspects a problem with the TP-Link Archer C8's implementation of SMB1 and/or SMB2 protocols.I have tried sharing the USB drive with and without user login and password, but neither works.I just updated the router to the latest version firmware, but that did not resolve this problem.Any suggestions from other users would be welcomed.
Hello All,I have a SONOS Play 5 generation 1. My Network Configuration is as follows: ATT Uverse for Internet. ATT Gateway is located in My Office and is using WiFi Channel 1 for 2.4Ghz and Channel 153 for 5Ghz I have a Netgear Nighthawk Router in my Living Room which is set up in Access Point mode so it is wired to the ATT Gateway. The Netgear uses the same channels for 2.4 and 5Ghz as the ATT Gateway which is 1 and 153, respectively. Sonos uses Channel 11Now for the issue. I use Spotify to listen to music and podcasts with my Play 5. I can play music without any issues. When I play a Podcast (someone speaking), the Podcast plays for about 10 minutes and then the Play 5 goes silent. When I look at Spotify, it thinks the Podcast is still playing. I can hit pause and then play and the Podcast will play again. Thanks, Bill
Hi,I hope to find help here, because after hours of troubleshooting I’m completely lost. 😰Since 3 days all of my speakers disconnected from the Wifi. All at the exact same time. Since then, none of the speakers were able to reconnect. While digging into the root cause of the issue, I’ve recognized, that the speakers send DHCP Discover messages and the DHCP server replies with DHCP Offer messages. After the DHCP Offer, there is never a DHCP Request message from the speakers. I’ve dumped the traffic on the DHCP Server and on the access point (Unifi U6-Lite). The packets were seen on both ends. Although I don’t see any RX/TX drops, I can’t confirm that the DHCP Offer ever reached the speaker. The weird thing is, based on the Unifi Controller information, all speakers are assigned to the correct reserved DHCP addresses, but none of the speakers is reachable.I’ve gone through countless troubleshooting hints within the community and Google searches, i.e. which describes pretty much my issue.
Hi all,My Sub is visible on my App and in the lounge with the Amp and surrounds but it won’t connect when I try. If I hard wire it to the amp then it works but I can’t leave it in the position. It asks me if I want to add this sub to Lounge and then just says it can’t connect. I have reset it multiple times and left it for a while before I try and connect it but nothing.Everything else on my network is working fine. Really annoying!
Is there anywhere I can get updates on the issue that has been going on for nearly a week now?I have Apple Music added via the Sonos App however, It is constantly asking me to re-authorise Apple Music. I have done this a few times and ends up saying “Unable to browse music”.Service Status Page indicated no issues with Apple Music (there is a partial outage in my opinion). Been told a few times on chat “Use an iOS device”, I don’t have one and shouldn’t have to have one, to be able to use the services fully.
I have wired surround speakers connected to the Sonos system but no sound is coming through. I’ve tried resetting the Arc and the amp but still nothing. I tried full music and also nothing. The system says surrounds are connected. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi!i have a problem with my Sonos Move. I try to connect my Sonos Move but when it comes to “linking the system to your account”, Nothing Happens. it keeps loading but nothing happens, i tried everything my nothing works, does someone have any idea?
Hi All,I was on the point of posting an issue but found a fix and thought I would share it in case anyone else is having the same issue.I recently bought the Beam (gen2) and 2 x One SL speakers. Almost immediately I had sound drop out and picture break-up.We previously had an LG wirtesed surround system with no issues.I spent an age trawling the community for a fix/solution, changing settings and options on the TV to no effect.Programmes on the TV were fine but switching to my Apple TV (4th Gen) caused all the problems.I switched from ARC to optical and back again with no improvement. The solution was simple enough, updating the Apple TV software to it’s most recent update.Immediately it has resolved the problem. If you’re having any issues, check your TV and peripheral kit software for updates. Hope that helps. Stewart
