HelloAs per the title, I have a LG OLED and Arc. I’ve spent 2 hours tonight trying to figure out why all of a sudden I cannot get any TV audio to play. It works perfectly for music as part of a larger network or on its own. List of what I’ve tried (in no particular order)Full factory reset of TVUpdated TV to latest firmware (04.40.70)Full factory reset of Arc.Updated Sonos App (15.4)Updated firmware for all speakers (15.4)Re-run the TV set up for Arc via the app.Uplugged the TV and Arc for 15 minutes.Tried resetting the HDMI handshake by disconnecting and leaving them for 15 minutes.Tried a different HDMI cable that I know works with other devices (I’ve always used the Sonos one).Used Sonos’ recommended audio settings on the TV:TV settings:DTV Audio Setting: AutoDigital Sound Out: Pass ThrougheArc: On. The TV can see the speaker. It displays that the Sonos is connected and that I can control it via LG’s universal remote option which had always worked prior. I even get Sonos’ pretty w
I have just received my new Sonos ERA 300 speaker and have had nothing but trouble in getting it to work. It does not play Apple Music streaming and can only play music that is actually recorded and stored on your computer I had a second speaker ordered but am cancelling it NOW! Avoid this company!
I no longer have access to my Sonos 1 system…..my controller keeps referring to Sonos 2
Norberto Rodriguez.
Cant connect, only getting a white colour appearing, Roam not showing up as a device in Android when next to itOh and the App is useless BTW bit will keep product if can Bluetooth it !
Hi all,I was bored that I cannot stop the music when the alarm rings and I'm not at home or when I want to skip to the next track when my laptop is connected to my companies VPN. That's why I created a little web app where you can control your Sonos speaker groups.I just hacked this one together, so don't expect too much. But at least it works from everywhere you have internet.https://sonos-web.web.appFeatures: No account needed, except your Sonos account Pause/Play audio Skip to next track Change volume Play your Sonos favourites I just tested it with Spotify, Soundcloud, Audible, and Apple Music. My System is fairly simple (1x Sonos One, 1x Sonos AMP, but not connected to a TV) so I'm not sure how it scales with more complex systems. If you run into issues, you can open an issue at the Github Repository (https://github.com/ariksidney/sonos-web).Technical stuff:It runs on Google Firebase and there's no backend. Every request to Sonos is a call to a Cloud Function, so the web a
I’m searching best quality speakers which are give feel impressive sound without echo.
There are a couple of albums on my system that I cannot seem to find in the Sonos app. Ones a compilation by an artist called cerrone. I had this issue before and there used to be a log file on the system that showed any indexing failures. I believe that has gone. Can anyone tell me if there’s any issues with my indexing? Everything else seems to be fine. Thanks.
Is Sonos Radio now officially streaming content from the Deezer catalog and if so, has anyone noticed a difference? I know that some complained about repetition of songs and limited playlists within the Sonos stations. Was wondering if this is still an issue.
We have a large open living/kitchen area in our current new construction and I’m having a hard time figuring out what speakers I need and where they should be placed. The room is 29ft L x 25ft W x 32ft H
The latest app update is terrible. My system freezes and stops regularly. The que empties itself. Freezing and dropping all of the time. My network is fine, pushing more than 200 mb per sec. I have reset everything multiple times. I have deleted and re downloaded the app multiple times. Sonos roll this back until you have something that works. I would never ever recommend anyone buy into this ecosystem. (Luckily when I avoid the Sonos app and use airplay it still works!) this is 100% a Sonos issue.
Hi allSo I have a children’s party on the weekend, in a nearby hall. I’ve got a Sonos Roam and several Sonos Ones at home.Last year when I attempted to use one of the Sonos Ones in a similar situation it didn’t work, and had to resort to the Sonos Roam, which is probably big enough for the space.i am looking for some advice on what to do, I think the cheapest thing would be to take one of the Sonos One speakers to the hall and use that. However I’m not sure if there is wifi.I assume if there was no wifi this would be not usable? If there was Wifi could I use one of the Sonos One’s?I am extremely tempted to use this opportunity to buy another speaker. If I were to get and Era 100, set it up at home, could I then use it as a Bluetooth speaker at this other location? Is the main benefit of a Move the battery?thanks!
Persistent drop outs when playing Amazon Music via Sonos. Usually happens at the start of a song for about ten seconds and then reverts to normal via set up of playbar, rears and subwoofer. Sometimes songs stop mid way through for a few seconds ( no sound) and then resume or will not play at all. Virgin Media router hub 4 has been replaced with new hub 4 but it has made no difference. Sonos on Channel 11. Router is in a cupboard but the issue has not occurred until the last few months. Any thoughts on how to address the issue would be welcome.
Hi, I have become really exasperated with trying to connect my new Ray to a Sony TV. In regards to this problem, I have tried everything. Resetting both, disconnecting, a new optical cable, I am now at my wits end! Both live in my holiday home. However, my Ray will play Spotify with no problem and very good it is too! Almost as good as my Move….Can someone help? TV model is in the title. The Ray was purchased as the TV speakers are not the best….My Sonos playbar I have at home is brilliant. regards,Chris Berrisford
Hi, I have always used a BOOST, but recently I moved my Port closer to the router and connected it by ethernet for the first time. Since I did this, a few times per week speakers will disappear from the app (1 or more at a time, including the wired Port but also Play:5, 2x Play:1, and One). Sometimes 1 speaker disappears at a time and sometimes more than 1. Restarting the speaker and/or router usually solves the problem. This has *never* happened before in many years of using all these speakers.Router is using channel 1 and SonosNet is using Channel 11. All Sonos products have reserved IP addresses.I would prefer to keep the Port wired instead of going back to wireless, so I appreciate any input. I am also wondering if I should not have 2 products wired to the same router. And finally, despite reading several posts about it on this forum, I am not clear whether the wired Port should have Wi-Fi enabled or disabled (it is enabled now, disabling it caused worse performance).
Hello, i have problem with my Symfonisk Frame speakers. I have Apple TV 4K, in front Symfonisk Frames in stereo mode and rear two homepods. While i play something on TV, sound goes only from rear homepods. So i must stop playing and continue, sound goes from front speakers with rear homepods. In Apple Tv have set all speakers on, i was trying change channel of 5 Ghz wifi on my router, but this not changing. It doesn't happen to you all the time, but about every third boot the front speakers have no sound. Just stop the playback and start it again, the sound on the front speakers will start. Any idea, where is the problem? Thank you.
Came back from 3 weeks away, turned on sonos roam, opened sonos app on phone and no option to play stored music on my device. Radio only option! Where's my downloaded music gone???Why has the icon to access it disappeared from the app???
Hi, I have a turntable that I’m trying to connect to 2 Sonos Era 300 speakers and a Sonos Sub. One way to connect is use a RCA to 3.5 cable with direct connection using the Sonos in-line adapter to one of the Era 300 and stream to other Era 300 and sub.The 2nd method would be to use a Sonos port to connect the turntable and and then stream to Sonos speakers. The question is which will give the best vinyl sound quality? Using the port connection or direct rca and line-in method? Pls let me know. Thank You.
Dear All,I have a very simple question : i have a tv, and i would like to hear the sound of my tv through sonos multiroom environment in every room of my house. Could you please help me out on what equipment i have to buy and what protocol i have to use in order to connect these equipments together ?I thought a connected tv with connected speakers would work together easily, however it seems not to be the casethanks for your help
Hi there! Can you set the volume not to change as much when using TV remote? Samsung smart tv change to much on every “click”. From zero to first it's a huge difference. Is it possible to change the settings in the sonos app? Would like it to be not so sensitive. Also have an issue watching soap2day or other, sound isn't synched with movie. Sound is dragging after and all I can find in sonos app is about the other way around.
When using Sonos Alexa to stream BBC radio via BBC Sounds, or music from Amazon Music, I experience frequent (every minute or two) frustrating interruptions of a few seconds in the play back which just go on and on until I get fed-up and I stop trying to listen. If I monitor the playback on the Sonos app whenever there is an interruption the message is displayed “Unable to play song ‘song’ - the song is not encoded correctly. ”When I use Alexa on Sonos to access other streaming services (Greatest Hits radio for example) the radio service streams OK without interruptions….and if I connect my iPad to the same wi-fi point as the one used by Sonos and use BBC Sounds/Alexa/Amazon music on my iPad and AirPlay the stream to my Sonos it also works ok (no interruptions). So I only get a problem when using Sonos Alexa to stream the BBC Radio / Amazon Music content…..I’ve seen lots of posts about this error which generally try to blame the network the sonos is connected to….but streaming radio/mus
What I am writing here is not a question but simply an observation, and written with the hope that Sonos will take note.I use my Port with the variable analogue output, these are connected to a power amplifier, therefore I use the Ports equalizer and loudness function.(There are probably not many people who use their Port this way.)But after the update to version 15.4, my Port's sound signature has been changed again - again. The sound lacks warmth and musicality and it is very voice oriented and clinical sounding. That is, a sound image that you want to aim for with a soundbar that plays together with a subwoofer and not from a product like Port. And e.g. the bass control now only adjusts the very lowest bass, before it worked higher up in the bass frequency range. The loudness function has also changed. At the same time, it seems that the DSP is programmed to give more attack in the midrange sound. My experience is that Port's sound changes almost every time a new software update is rele
I don't understand why the Roam won't charge with a 5V/1A power supply. I know Sonos says it doesn't have enough power but that is not a sufficient answer. as long as a charger has a higher Voltage capacity than the battery, the battery can be charged. The Amp rating of the Power Supply just determines how fast the battery will be charged. For Example: If I use a 5V/1 amp power supply to charge the Roam with a 5000mAh battery and required charge voltage of 4.2V5Vx1amp=5W5W/4.2V=1.19Amp5000mAh/1.19Amp=4.2 Hours (Time required to Charge the Roam) So I understand that a 1Amp charger will take long but not charge the battery doesn't make sense. My only conclusion is that Sonos programmed the built in Charger in the Roam that it will only allow charge if the charger receives more than 1 amp of current. I can understand this out of a User friendly perspective to not allow chargers that will be slow so that people who can't read a label or do Math not get frustrated with a slow charge. But
