Anyone else having issues streaming BBC radio since Nov 1 is USA. No longer working on Sonos or tunein. I have tried via sonos speaker, also tried direct with tunein and access seems to be terminated, maybe licensing issue. I have managed to access it through mytuner radio but it’s not as slick. BBC sounds app is no longer available outside of UK. Help!

Click over here to see the videoThe video shows how my beam gen 2 flexes up and down when pressed, is it normal or is it some qc problem which took place and this product slipped through it, just so you guys know I purchased this yesterday itself and it has been like that since it came out of the box. Is this normal for a beam gen2?, please do let me know!, i will opt for a replacement from the retailer I have purchased regardless. But i do want to know whether its normal or not since i will be getting it again and want to make sure if its okay or not. Thank you so much guys!
Bonjour, tout est dans le titre je souhaite écouter une radio disponible uniquement sur l’application Radio France et l’assistant vocal ne fonctionne pas alors que depuis le téléphone fonctionne pouvez-vous m’aider ?
This has been requested in the past, but seems to have gone dead. I have an Arc Ultra, Sub Mini, and two Fives. I’d like to use the Fives for hifi audio and as additional front left / right channel speakers on the Ultra. Is this on the roadmap? Should I just return the Ultra or the Fives and wait to see if Sonos delivers what seems like fairly obvious functionality?
Hi, I recently added a switch 2 to my set up. When I did this I changed the order of my HDMI ports. Obviously, I kept my beam 2 in the earc port of my LG TV. Since I made this change, the audio will cutout for less than a second every few minutes. It happens on multiple HDMI ports. I originally thought this was a switch 2 problem, but today I noticed it while watching my apple tv. I have a beam 2, mini sub, and to One SL speakers as surrounds. Any ideas on what’s going on here? I‘ve tried turning off and on again. Thanks for any help!
My Sonos beam keeps disconnecting from my WiFi and when I try to reset it through the app it cannot find my beam to connect it, but the odd thing is when I use the google voice function it can give me the news, weather and other things like that but it won’t let me stream my music. I’ve unplugged the beam for a few minutes plugged it back it and the problem still persists, app is up to date WiFi signal is good and strong just not sure what’s going on. any help would be much appreciated thank you
A month ago my playbase play 5 system developed a glitch when playing my music playlists The techs couldnt figure it out so in frustration I bought a new system Arc ultra and era 300s surrounds . I thought I had everything set up But noticed that some of the songs in my playlists were played in Dolby Atmos and they sounded awful and you really couldnt listen to them. I asked the community for advice and got a few suggestions of like turning off trueplay but I didnt really want to keep having to tweak the system every time a song was played in Atmos. Today I reached out to the support team and instantly problem solved. I had in the app Spacial Music immersive 3D button switched on. Big mistake If anyone else thinks atmos music is awful turn Spacial Music off and the music now comes out in HD or ultra Hd . It is very simple when you realise but all things technical are a complete mystery to me
Called support few times and they all claimed that Sonos app does not support linking sounds bars with TVs but worked perfectly with music apps. Also app is not friendly at all, it should be when I link few devices to match it with a source right away. Too many maneuvering around to get it working. If u connected as a source to TV with multiple devices, u need to wait for 15min and pray that might work. Too frustrating, I am going to return my all sounds bars and keep Move 2 speaker. That is a great invention device. To fix the app, it takes few programming lines. SONOS EXECUTIVES should invest in the app. What is the use of having great devices if your app sucks.Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
We have two Sonos from Ikea (SYMFONISK). These worked fine, but then the power went out and now it won’t connect. Last time this happened I reset and updated the firmware of the router and connected the Sonoses with ethernet cable to update the firmware on those too. The router update required that I changed the SSID of the network because it had illegal characters so I did that and had to reconfigure all my devices to the new SSID. This also made the Sonoses work. However, I don’t want to change the SSID of the whole network at home just so I can make the sonoses work…Here’s what I’ve tried: Factory reset both the Sonos and gone through the configuration setup again. It finds the Sonos and plays the chime and I write the SSID password, but then it says it can’t connect and that I should still find it in the app (which I don’t) Resetting the app from settings Reinstalling the app from App Store Connected on of the Sonos to a ethernet cable. This works, but then the Sonos has to be co
Does anyone else see a benefit to being able to turn the Loudness feature on and off for all the products in a specific room or zone withough having to go to each product’s Settings > product > EQ > Loudness setting individually? … or be able to adjust all the EQ settings for all the products in an entire room or zone without having to visit the Settings for each product?
What’s up … I’m new to the Sonos fam! Trying to figure out the placement of speakers.Era 300’sOn stands behind the couch are a no-go for us. So I’m looking at mounting them on the wall. Placement AInstalled 2 feet below the ceiling above speaker (tray ceiling height is an additional foot higher). Requires me to angle (not tilt) them 45 degrees to hit center of room.Placement BInstalled 2 feet below the ceiling above speaker (tray ceiling height is an additional foot higher). Speaker would shoot straight out into room towards back of couch. Sub PlacementSubs arrive Wednesday! I bought two of the Sonos 4’s. I was thinking of placing them on each side of the TV table. Good idea? Bad idea? I’ve included a few angles of the room to help visualize it. Thanks in advance!
Hi, please can you look into developing your portable speakers so that they can be paired to the arc soundbar to achieve a surround sound system. Getting power to rear speakers is not possible so a battery powered speaker pair would be a game changer and open so many more options to create a bespoke surround system. Would this not be a simple software patch for the portable speakers? Thanks
The Sonos app is so dogs***… why? reasons why my dog can make a better app with his butt: no custom radio stupid pinned s*** at the top of my app lost ability to connect to radio stations outside of the Sonos garden Finding my offline music takes like 20 steps did not even revert the horrible app after community said pls give us back the old app tunein radio doesn’t work as advertised, lost of help articles are inaccurate because they refer to old app overall, I’m never buying another Sonos product. Gonna let this one die and then happily throw it out and get a more customer-focused product Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I have two white Flexon stands for Play 5s as shown in the photo. We have no room for them now as we have moved into a flat and our Sonos 5s are sitting cosily in a bookcase. I’ve tried eBay (no takers) and Freecycle (no takers), but am reluctant to take them to the tip. If anyone wants them and is willing to pick them up in Guildford, UK I will quite happily let them have them. They are in very good condition.
Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I’ve had several conversations here with folks with Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet unfriendly houses. Saw this mentioned elsewhere and it sounds interesting.Does anyone have experience with this or know if it is fully compatible with Sonos’ networking needs?Virtually Invisible Fiber – Ultra-thin, bend tolerant fiber blends seamlessly along baseboards, trim, and corners, preserving your home’s aesthetic while creating a point-to-point connection.https://www.amazon.com/InvisiLight-Home-Fiber-Kit-Installation/dp/B0F8DQW36V/ref=sr_1_4https://lightera.com/invisilight-home-fiber-kit/#
I currently have a Beam 2 connected (HDMI eARC) to my TV with 2 x Play 1 set up as surrounds (additionally I have 2 x Roam 1 in a stereo pair in the same room). My son in law has just upgraded his Arc with an Arc Ultra and is giving me his old Arc.I am thinking of replacing the Beam 2 with the Arc (connected via HDMI eARC to my TV) and combining that with the 2 x Play 1s then using the Beam 2 stand alone behind the settee in the same room as an additional speaker. Is this possible? Will the Arc and Beam2 interfere with each other? or should I just use the beam elsewhere / sell it?
Sometime ago, I asked for people to recommend a music player for my Sonos speakers. I was looking for something to rip my CD collection to that was easy to use and navigate. That thread got closed, but I thought I would provide an update. My initial attempt was a Brennen Helix, but I just never got on with it. The 2nd suggestion was to build your own NAS with a Raspberry Pi. I was not keen, because I wanted something a little more presentable than a collection of devices. Also, I wanted my wife to have full access, so easy to use was a high priorityHowever, with no obvious commercial device out there (or at least one which I could guarantee SONOS connectivity, I bowed to the inevitable and bought another Pi. However, in this case it was in the form of a Waveshare CM4 box, which I could fit tow 512 GB SSD’s. These I have in a RSYNC so have a backup (RAID would be overkill, since it rarely changes), and use SMB to connect with. The device came pre-assembled with PiOS and OMV pre-insta
How do I play prior radio stations on my Sonos era 100 I had unplugged it yesterday by mistake and it’s stuck on a blues station
Bonjour j'ai une playbar gen1 qui a toujours été relié à la TV avec la fiche optique sauf que je viens d'acheter une nouvelle télé et celle ci n'a pas de port optique.Comment je peux faire pour la relier à la télé ? Merci
Absolute garbage product. Im at a perfect spot to throw this s*** out. Apology after apology after apology from so is and then it just worse. Everyday I get stuck in this ill conceived poorly designed POS app. GTH sonks Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I’m exploring changes in our home music system. For decades, we’ve used a NAD receiver ( a C740 from around 1998) with two passive Polk speakers, a CD player and a turntable, all in the living room. The NAD has no phono pre-amp so I’ve wired one in and we play our vinyl successfully. We’ve recently added a pair of ERA 100’s in a separate room, and finally joined the streaming generation via Tidal. Love it. In a third room, we’ve added a Beam 2 and a mini-sub to our TV set-up. Love those, too. Sometimes I add that room in when listening to music via Tidal. But right now, the old-school stereo isn’t connected to the Sonos gear. As a separate matter, we’d like to swap out the stereo’s pair of Polk SDA Compact bookshelf speakers (which ain’t so compact) for a pair of smaller speakers. The Sonos 5’s come to mind as a means by which the old NAD can connect with the new. Ideally that connection could work both ways. The NAD has left and right channel pre-amp OUT ports in case a user wants to u
Hi All,I am no longer able to listen to a station on myTuner Radio and I’m trying to get to the bottom of it.The station I’m trying to play is “Classical California KDFC.” It has worked for years without issue, but now I get the message “Couldn’t play content. Try again.” The station will play just fine on TuneIn, but I have no interest in using an app that plays 3 hours of ad rolls before a stream begins. It also plays through Sonos Radio since that is just a patch-through circus of ads from TuneIn. I have tried playing the station through my favorites and have tried starting a stream through a fresh search in case the URL has been updated, but it didn’t help. The stream works just fine when I use the myTuner website, so there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with the stream—it seems isolated to Sonos. https://mytuner-radio.com/radio/kdfc-899-fm-403396/Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
