At the end of each song, the volume comes Very High before transitioning to the next song? What cause that issue?
Arc Ultra with Sonos mount. Lg tv with sanus 4D tilt mount. Which tv position is best?
Hi, I'm trying to remove some Play 1 speakers from my system but the option is not available in the app. I can find where to remove my Beam and Era 100s but no option is available for the Play 1s. Thanks in advance for any help.
Please share any eArc hdmi splitters that worked for you. Everyone was talking about Arkana, I’ve tried it, payed 400 usd with taxes, then spent several weeks trying to fix sound interruptions, changed tons of cables, trying all recommendations, but had to give up on that one and now looking for other options. There are plenty opt of hdmi splitters on Amazon, so would be great if anyone had success with any and will recommend.Thank you!
Hi, I was considering the SONOS stands for the era 300 pair. However My ceiling is 10ft. Are these stands too tall? I currently have one sitting on a low surface and it sounds amazing. Getting a second. Also it was recommended in their instructions to put it 8-10ft a part. I was originally hoping 4.5 ft guess this will be too short. Any advice? Should I go for the regular stands. Will I still have good immersion from Atmos Music?
I'm suggesting a redesign of the web based controller with a new (ok, really old) interface.Just grab an old CR-100 and duplicate the design as a web page.Simple, distinct buttons for every feature and not at all confusing. Sonos CR-100 Controller
I was sold a bill of goods by Sonos that I had to buy the arc to buy their Sonos ace headphones. What a mistake. Everyday it’s a struggle to pair the ace with the arc. It never works until I try to push the button a dozen times before it connects. Tonight I just spent an hour and finally gave up. Just an awful product. The strange thing is I vacationed in Florida for 4 months. The headphones hooked right up to a regular tv as I never had a problem. You turn the tv on and in 3 seconds the headphones work. Now I’m back home with the arc and pushing that button with the audio swap is an absolute nightmare. If you’re thinking of buying - resist and go elsewhere.
I guess it is by design as it has always done it but has always updated correctly. Is that just bad design or what?
I’ve had my Beam 2 connected to the ARC port of my TCL 65S425 for a while without issues and then I broke everything and can’t fix it. The volume controls for my universal remote were really slow and didn’t always work at all, so I decided to set up the remote with the Beam over IR. Seemed to work fine for a little bit - I don’t seem to have a way to make the TV stop responding but it didn’t really matter. Then maybe just a few days in, it started resetting the volume to 15. Restarted, unplugged, etc., the TV and the Beam several times in different orders and looking through every menu I could find for help and nothing. I couldn’t find a way to undo the remote setup. Eventually I decided to do a factory reset on the Beam, and it’s still there blinking green at me like a demonic sob. It’s still in my app as ‘Not Connected’ and I don’t see a way to actually wipe it AND when I click Add Speaker or Component, nothing happens. Also I have a sub mini which now says Speaker Missing From Room
Beam turns itself.off
My home theater setup is Philips 55inch tv, Ultra Arc, sonos Sub and 2 era 100 speakers for the rear. Since the problem with the arc and apple tv working together with atmos with my 10 year old tv, Im looking for a replacement for my tv. I have had it with resetting all the time for good sound. Only…..every where I look there seem to be a problem with the Arc and the Apple TV together for using Atmos and sound in general. Is there a recommendation for a good 4k tv where they all work together smoothly?
Originally had my Play 1 speakers running under Sonos 1 Controller. Wanted to use my NAS instead of my local drive for storing music. Existing Windows app doesn’t support SMB2 so I decided to install the latest version (Sonos_90.0-77070.exe). Said my product (Play 1 speakers) were not compatible yet the website says they are. Suggested resetting the speakers. Did that, both are flashing green. Every time I run the application installer it only offers me connect to existing system or learn how to never create new anything. Connect to existing results in can’t find any products. As such, it never actually installs the app.How do I install my speakers as if I just bought them from the store because right now, I get no such option. It only offers connect to an existing system, which now, doesn’t exist because I reset the speakers. Before resetting the speakers, it said no compatible products were found and to install Sonos 1 controller instead. What’s the deal?
Hello Sonos Community,I’m looking for some advice on the ideal wall-mounting locations for a pair of Era 300s that I’ll be using as surrounds with my Sonos Arc in my open-plan living area.Current setup:Sonos Arc mounted under the TV TV located on the top wall of the attached floor plan Planning to add a pair of Era 300s as surrounds No Sub (yet)I’ve attached my floor plan for reference.A few things that may affect placement:The living room is part of an open-plan kitchen/dining area. The main sofa will be facing the TV in the living area. There is no rear wall directly behind the seating position. There is a bulkhead above the kitchen cooktop that houses the air-conditioning system. Thanks in advance!

Any reason why exclusively ……………. station still won’t play on My Tuner Radio?
Good evening, I’m adding artists to my favorites in the Sonos app from Qobuz, but the artwork and names have nothing to do with the artist. What should I do?Philippe
I don't know why Sonos didn't design the Ace to operate just like any other Sonos speaker in my network. It's so disappointing! Fix this Sonos!
Hi,new feature submission:with more and more portable speakers, headphones and truly wireless devices in Sonos’ lineup it would be really nice to use the app as a separate streaming device with mobile data on the go. The devices would better justify their price tags and Sonos would be probably the first with such feature on the market, meanwhile still locking it to Sonos hardware.let me know if you need more thoughts on the implementation.cheers!
I have had a Sonos system since 2019. Started with two One SL speakers and a bridge to connect a Denon receiver and Polk Audio speakers. Over the years I’ve abandoned the bridge because it was neither reliable or easy to use. I’ve added two more One SL’s, a Move, a Move 2, a One, and a Play, so now 8 speakers. I stream music off Apple Music. In the past that was reliable and enjoyable. A couple years ago Sonos updated their App and I went through several months of buffering issues. Eventually, after several hours with phone support, we connected an Ethernet cable to one SL speaker and things sorted out. About a month ago, my system decided buffering was preferable to playing music. Sonos Tech support said delete the Ethernet cable and reboot speakers and mesh network. I did, the buffering persisted. Deco support said their X55 system supports 2.4 and 5 GHz broadband. They walked me through setting up a network that is only on 2.4 GHz and connecting all the Sonos speakers to
Hey everyone, Just wanted to share an architectural tip that might save some of you a massive network headache. My strong advice is to give all of your Sonos devices a fixed/reserved IP address inside your DHCP server (focused on IPv4, I haven’t audited IPv6 for this behavior).I was recently working on a custom backend script to audit vacant IP addresses inside my home DHCP range, when I realized a major flaw: several of my Sonos speakers did not register as online or leased, nor did they appear anywhere in my firewall’s active ARP table.Because they were completely invisible to the router, my DHCP server could have easily assigned their IP addresses to other clients (laptops, phones, smart home tech), creating an immediate IP conflict. The short story on why this happens:When you group Sonos speakers together into a stereo pair or a surround sound setup, they stop acting like traditional Wi-Fi clients. The master unit (e.g., your soundbar) creates its own private Layer 2 wireless mesh
HI there!I just got a brand new ROAM SL from my uncle. But when tried to set up the speaker there are problems.First when put my charger on (the official charger),the charging indicator blinks red light ,no orange light and a white led next to the Sonos logo glowing, when I unplug the charger the led goes off and no matter how long I press the power button there’s nothing happen. I googled this problem it says there is something wrong with the battery.Should I just change a battery?Second, when I tired to connect to the app it said your speaker needs an update so that you can use it,but it keeps showing the error code 1016,I tried to change a different WiFi but the problem was still there.
I'm very frustrated waiting for a feature of the latest update provides to be activated, checking a couple times a day in hopes of seeing it. That got me thinking of a feature that would be nice. Can we please have a placeholder for the pending features in each update? Nothing fancy needed, even just the controller option present but faded would let us know the App update was applied and we are just waiting on the feature activation to happen for us. Appending a "Pending" or "Coming Soon" would be nice too.Maybe on the update pop-up add a line about feature activations pending? That might lower the confusion about why other users are seeing things the user can't see, even though the update pop-up says the system is fully updated.
From yesteday Soundcloud service is broken in my S1 setup. Files not encoded properly .. again.. guess its happening to more than me..
Hi all. First time poster. I have setup a stereo pair of One Gen 2’s and a sub mini in the Living Room and identified the group as ‘Living Room - Sonos’. While Spotify on my android phone identifies the group as ‘Living Room - Sonos’ and plays music through both speakers, the app I am using (Hi-Fi Cast) only sees the group as separate devices. If I select the right speaker, sound comes out of it, and only it. Select the left speaker and the song won’t play. I have recreated the group a couple of times but still end up with the same issue. Weirdly, if I use the Spotify app on my phone, the music plays through both speakers, and if I close it and then use Hi-Fi app, while it sees the devices still as separate entities, it will play music from both speakers. As I said, Weird. The problem returns if I select the other Sonos device. A pic of the Hi-Fi devices tab is attached. I am sure there is something fundamental I am getting wrong with the setup. Appreciate advice on how this might be
Reporting a bug here. Amazon stations can be played from the station lists, but not from favorites. When playing from favorites, it generates a “unable to play content” error, followed by a “something went wrong” error. This happens on android and windows. Again, the stations play when played direction from the station list.
