I use the ace headphones in office as my primairy video calling headset. In a busy office environment I get complaints for other people in the meeting that they can hear a lot of noise from other people talking in the room. As for my side: I can either choose aware mode and experience the same. Hear all the noise in the room and my own voice, or I can switch on anc and the room goes completely silent and I cannot hear myself properly anymore. There is no in between (sometimes reffered to as side tone) where me and the people in the meeting can only hear my voice clearly, but all the other noise is cancelled. This makes them pretty much useless for office calls. There is no voice isolation that can distinct between my voice and other sounds
The app was working perfectly fine before the update, I work at a retail company so I play music at work all the time. Just recently as soon as I get home when I go to the app there is nothing there like I have nothing created or no speakers. Says i have to join system but still won’t connect anything unless I uninstall and reinstall the app. This is getting really annoying, I’m not trying to do that all the time. My coworker also is have the same issue unfortunately. We both love Sonos a lot but this is getting really annoying please fix it.
I’m trying to connect my home theatre with a Samsung q75, I have the arc soundbar connected via optical out and an amp connected via EARC with Sonos in ceiling speakers. Is there a way to have dual output so we can have sound through both the soundbar and the in ceiling speakers all controlled by the tv remote? TIA
This topic is older and might not have the most up to date information. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. HelloI wanted to get this out as quickly as possible. Please excuse typo’s. So no particular order pass the first topic/observation. I’m going to take a page from the Peter Pee’s review book and give you (IMO) the main highlight up front…Main Highlight Sound Swap is WORKING!!!!You’ve really gott’a watch a movie like Top Gun: Maverick to really appreciate the sensation of objects in time and space. The jets moving left, right, up, down, overhead and coming from behind is a phenomenal experience! Admittedly when the Swap is first made it takes a minute or two to redirect your focus to the cups; but after that you forget that you’re listening via the Sonos Ace headset. I currently have it setup on two of my Arc’s and can select which one to use Sonos has promised to include the Beam (gen 1&2) and the Ray in future updatesStartup What to Exp
I have had the Sonos Ace headphones for a few days now and for what it is worth here is my feedback which may or may not be useful info to other community members sitting on the fence with this product.Pros:Looks and Feels like a quality product.I like the sound profile based on listening to a wide variety of songs from my music library.Effective ANC.Unlike others, I have had no issues with the initial setup and subsequent updates.Unlike others, I do not appear to have the issue with right ear static.Cons:I keep going into the Sonos app to stream my music to it - Lol.The Wear Detection on my unit is hit and miss, mostly miss. Hopefully a software issue and not a bad IR sensor???I have Beam and Ray soundbars so no sound swap as yet. So for me at the moment they are just relatively expensive bluetooth headphones with no point of difference to the competition out there.Based on the above I am happy with my purchase and assuming(?) that I am in the vast majority of Ace users who are not ha
Not as headline grabbing as the other missing features, I’m sure. But are the settings for adjusting line-in compression also removed, or is it just hidden away in a corner of the app which I’m unable to find? Turntable connected via SONOS port is my current setup, but suspecting that this setting may be removed for other line-in configurations as well? In any case: Not pleased.
I can’t use this update, its a load of ****. I can’t roll back the version and can’t play anything. Does anybody test anything in Sonos? Moderated to comply with forum rules.
Having trouble updating new one 2gen after adding to system .Get error 1002,1000.Try to connect directly to EthTry to change network 2.4/5GYour help please 🙏
On the Dutch language community I’ve seen a few posts about people having to pull the Boost because it is not visible anymore in the app and the speakers will not connect to it. Strangely I’ve not come across a mention of this on the (more populated) English language community.Since I own a Boost and have been able to stall any updates of firmware and app, I would like to know if anyone has seen problems with the Boost caused by the latest software or related to the new app.
It is simple!! The new app it a total crap!!!! Can’t use it whatsoever. !! Garbage!!! Takes forever to load music if it is even loads what I want it to play!! Bring back the old app please I m bagging you to do so! Otherwise you will lose millions of customers !!
Updates and new apps are meant to add value not go back. Why have you done this it adds no value I cannot save to a playlist or do many things I used to it’s a nail in the Sonos coffin
“Something went wrong. Try again.” Seems to be the only thing the Sonos app does anymore. I see that comment every time I try to play something, no matter if it is Apple Music or Sirius, etc. I have given up on the app and just do it directly from whatever music app I want to the speakers. I plan to take a break trying and try again after three or so more updates to the app.I also have been speaking to someone on the Sonos help, and after a few diagnostic tests all they could say is do a factory reset of all of my speakers? Seriously!?! 😖
Hi all,I have seen a number of conversations regarding SMB protocols and SMBv1 recently being disabled for S2 users (while being retained for S1 users). We are down in the weeds here, but I have just discovered that it is possible to query SMB version from a Windows PC. This may help some people who are unsure which protocol their NAS drive supports.I am on Windows 10. You have to run Windows PowerShell as an Administrator. Then use the command Get-SmbConnection -server x.x.x.x | fl where x.x.x.x represents the local IP address of the device, in my case an old Western Digital MYBOOKLIVE NAS drive.I thought my NAS was locked to SMBv1, and there’s no way to change it.But the query returns….ServerName : x.x.x.xShareName : PublicUserName : DESKTOP-******\*****Credential : MicrosoftAccount\email address was hereDialect : 2.0.2NumOpens : 2The Credential response above shows that my PC is talking to the NAS using SMBv2.What this means is that my NAS should work with the updated S2 soft
Title says it all. It is the height of hubris for these twits not to have rolled back to the old app (Yellow Icon) after this utter abomination. I truly cannot understand why you would stick with this piece of *. Didn't discover my old system. That is bad enough. But I tried like 7 times to add a new system and to add my Arc and Move. Do yourself a favor and add only one IF you can get either to stick. Adding the other kicks everything off the “System” and you could keep trying, but it's the definition of insanity to try multiple times and get another result. Turning off Private Relay doesn't make a difference either. If I can have EITHER my Arc or Move, I'll take the Arc because I need it for my TV. Atrocious. Customer care went the way of the dinosaurs. I choose Sonos years ago for the simplicity of adding crap via my wifi connection. When it comes time to dump this ridiculously bad hardware/software combination, I will NEVER EVER buy Sonos again and I will urge anyone who will list
I have looked at the new app roadmap and cannot see any mention of restoring local playlist management. Why not?
How can I instantly mute my speakers?
Cannot get Group - Playbar and Move 2 to connect. States - Unable to connect. Try again later.
Not able to connect Bluetooth or WiFi to my Sony play bar
What did you morons do to this Sonos App. Cuts out. Stops music. Can’t connect. Get your S… together and fix this or we are out !!!
My playlists show up but wont play since last update. How do I fix?
When the speakers connect, they’re great. But when they don’t, I spend too much time, much unsuccessful, trying to connect them. And it is a common issue. Getting help requires payment even though it is Sonos’s fault. Sonos seems to invest everything into speaker performance and no in the connection software. With all these problems, is there a class action?
Ok so I have been a fan of Sonos and even bought some stock years ago but what happened! This new app is tragic. I would like to know why Sonos didn’t release this new update to the Beta community to test out like they have some of the last major changes. If they did they may have been able to solve what I have seen is one of the biggest fails by the new app and that is simply adding music to a queue that you are currently listening to. I haven’t even tried making a new playlist yet but now I’m wondering how to do it at all. Do you have to fabricate some offsite folder that has a playlist in it that you’ve struggled hours to make hoping you don’t hit the “replace the queue” button or do you have to do it by voice control only or….? What the hell. The easiest thing to do was add a song to a playlist you have already made and now that’s impossible? No good. So if I was to grade this new update it would get an F+! If I was an employee of say McDonalds and I said “hey why don’t we st
A Huge Thank you to all that commented on Unable to Connect to Sirius XM- Great Knowledgeable Community. The conservations were very helpful and informative. I spent 1 hour talking to support and no real help. Thanks again.
How do I prevent your application from advertising to me? I have “in app” deselected for notifications in My Profile but this does not prevent advertisements when I log into your app to control my speakers. Not a big fan of the new app’s design in general, but it's unacceptable to get advertised at.
